Tee Talent Case Study
Next, there is going to be five event recommendations on which Tee Talent can sponsor. The first
three events are with organizations that have social missions that relate directly to
accommodating people with disabilities, while the last two events are with organizations that
have different types of social missions. It s important for Tee Talent to sponsor organizations
with social missions that relate directly accommodating people with disabilities because it aligns
with Tee Talent s mission of inclusion. This will help grow the business as Tee Talent will be
able to connect with clients who have similar goals. However, it is important to also look at
organizations who have different social missions as Tee Talent will be able to reach a larger
audience. Although Tee Talent s social mission may be different, sponsoring organizations with
different social missions is a good way to grow Tee Talents client base as it reaches a larger
audience. For example, companies such as Home Hardware sponsor the Food Bank of Waterloo
Region even though Home Hardware has very little to do with food (Sponsorship Opportunities,
n.d.). Sponsoring organizations... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

In this study they categorized the outcomes by points. When more points where given to them
they called it themselves. When they gave some but kept most for them they called it
cooperation. When they gave an equal amount of point between themselves and their partner they
called it egalitarian. The study found people of lower class were more egalitarian believing in
equality, thus giving an equal number of points between themselves and their partners. For the last
study participants were told by the instructor that he was waiting for the participant s partner to
arrive. The participants were told they would complete a joint task with their partner followed by
sets of individual tasks for different research departments. While waiting for their partner they
were instructed to do an individual task and watch a short video clip. The first group watched
forty six seconds video of children in poverty. The second group watched forty six seconds of the
movie All the Presidents Men of two men quietly talking in the courtroom. After watching the video
they were asked to fill out a questionnaire about compassion. While filling out the questionnaire the
confederate partner would come in apologizing for being late. Test found that people are more
distress with the confederate after watching a distressful video clip than those watching the neutral
clip. The next day they were to choose nine tasks to do together with their partners.

Bail Support Program Service
Background
The Bail Support Program Service began on the month of January in the year 2001 as the Pilot
Bail Advocacy Program and lead by the Melbourne Magistrates Court and Corrections Victoria. In
2003, the pilot bail advocacy program grew and the management moved to the Magistrates Court of
Victoria. On December 2004 it was fused with the Court Referral and Evaluation for Drug

Provide early treatment, including access to drug treatment and rehabilitation programs. Reduce
risk of the client re offending. The Bail support program also aids an accused person that would
otherwise be remanded in custody to be granted bail and to remain on bail to satisfy the conditions
of their bail. A decrease of relevant services to aid youth to gain bail and meet the conditions has
been noted as possibly contributing towards the large number of youth on custodial remand, mainly
for the indigenous community and younger people who reside in more remote and regional areas.
Because of this the provision aid in finishing bail orders can partake a critical role in decreasing
rates of custodial remand. The bail Support programs are mainly aimed at the youth or adults, to
distinguish the different needs of the groups. The jurisdictions youth Justice department or non
government organisations give them. The Bail support program was created from two other bail
programs. The Bail support program main aim is to achieve the successful completion of bail by the
accused that would normally be in custody. Reduce the amount of accused kept in remand because
of lack of treatment, support from the community and lack of accommodation.

The Birth of Muhammad and Islam
The Islamic religion is not only a religion, but a complex lifestyle full of dynamic truth which has
a past that spans over fourteen centuries. It s history encompasses the ancient spirits of people from
North Africa as far as Malaysia. Islam is also one of the youngest major religions as the Qur an
came down to Muhammad six centuries after Jesus, so that a large portion of the developed
world which it soon overran had been evangelized for centuries (Burrell 1). Although Islam was
budding, it has grown into one of the world s largest religions having a following of over one
billion. Islam is known to be the fastest growing faith worldwide, and in recent years has made
striking advances in North America (3). The rapid expansion of the community of Believers after
Muhammad s death has its roots in the events of the last years of his life ( Donner 92). Islam can
be abridged into three timeframes that are as follows; The Time of Ingratitude, Muhammad s life
and story, and the organizations and laws that were created after the demise of the prophet.
The holiest declaration or Shahada in Islam is There is no god but Allah and Muhammad is his
messenger (Fieser 373). Islam found its origins in Arabia and it takes after every one of the
standards given by God which were translated through Muhammad. Muslims on the other hand, are

I cannot really tell you why I did not start earlier, Indiana being a huge basketball state and all. I
mean, the movie Hoosiers was based on Indiana basketball and the importance it holds on the small,
tight knit communities within the state.
It just seems like it would be natural for me to begin playing organized basketball at an early age,
but I did not other than the rough and tumble playground ball at recess. I began to yearn to play on a
real team, and soon I would have my chance. It was the summer before the sixth grade, and I

One of the major concerns or problems of fraud in the community are people abusing the system,

The title The Waking is articulate as it effectively expresses the content compose in the poem as
it symbolizes the clarification and self discovery. It is a villanelle; consisting nineteen lines,
consists of five targets with a quatrain and has two rhymes from the beginning to the end. The
first and the third line of the targets recur alternately at the end of other targets, and they are
repeated at the close of the ending quatrain. In this poem, Roethke uses a leaf as the speaker.
There can raise various questions on why the author came up with a conclusion of using a leaf
to speak in the poem. It can be because the leaf is a universal thing, simple and observes many
things that happen in life. The poem is about intelligence at the self level, and the author has
used various mediums to bring out a message in each stanza differently (Gale page 12). To start
with, the first stanza, the author keeps it clear that in life one has to acquire knowledge and be
shaped by the experience. In reality, every person falls asleep at some time of the day and wakes
up. Furthermore, it is a fact that everyone was born and the end of existing in the world will be
dead. In this case, the act of birth and life can be referred as the waking, and death shows the
sleep. Theodore Roethke puts it clearly that it is a must for one to change in a lifetime and this is
illustrated by the words waking slow from the first line of stanza one. He takes

Just like you get athlete s foot between your toes, you can get a fungal infection underneath your

your nailis thick, so the fungus has a warm, moist place to thrive where topical medications can t

You can buy polish, creams, and foot soaks that kill the fungus. Some of these have anti fungal
medications and others are natural products such as tea tree oil. If your infection isn t too bad, you
may get your infection under control with self treatments. Just keep in mind, it takes about 9 12
months to grow a new toenail, so it may be several weeks or months until you notice a change in
the appearance of your nail.
Prescription Medications
When over the counter treatments don t work, or if your infection causes you a lot of pain and
discomfort, see your doctor for stronger medication. Your doctor may prescribe ointment or nail
polish that contains anti fungal drugs. You may also need to take oral anti fungal medication so the
drugs can get to the underside of your nail through your bloodstream. Your doctor may take a
sample of your toenail for analysis to match the type of infection you have with the best medication
for treating it.

QSPM:
The Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix (QSPM) is a viable tool for making strategy
formulation decisions. This powerful basis will assist managers of a firm to take alternative
feasible strategies for their particular business.
For developing a QSPM, there are six major steps as follows:
Step 1
Make a list of the firm s key external opportunities/threats and internal strengths/weaknesses. As we
have done in SWOT analysis before.
Step 2
Assign weights to each key external and internal factor. This part is already done in SWOT analysis.

Book Of Gabriel Research Paper
Gabriel
Gabriel is an angel who serves as a messenger for God to certain people. He is one of the three
archangels. Gabriel is mentioned in both the Old and the New Testaments of the Bible. First, in
the Old Testament, Gabriel appears to the prophet Daniel to explain his visions. Gabriel is
described as, one who looked like man, as he interprets Daniel s visions. He speaks to Daniel while
he is sleeping. After Gabriel s first visit, Daniel becomes tired and sick for days. Gabriel later visits
Daniel again providing him with more insight and understanding in an answered prayer.

The Duty Of Care On Public Bodies
An explanation will be made on how the current law addresses the imposition of a duty of care on
public bodies. An evaluation will then be made to determine whether the duty of care the police
owe to protect individuals from a known threat should be legally recognised.
The common law duty of care was established in Donoghue v Stevenson [1932] AC 562 (HL) and
refined in Caparo Industries plc v Dickman [1990] 2 AC 605 (HL). Any party including public
authorities may owe a duty of care to another if particular conditions are fulfilled. The Caparo
conditions apply to public bodies in respect of whether it is fair, just and reasonable to impose a
duty of care on their actions.

Further to the general negligence position on public bodies, in instances of omissions the general
principle is that there is no duty to act unless a special relationship exists. However, there is an
exception, a duty is owed if proximity is established as demonstrated in Home Office v Dorset
Yacht Co Ltd [1970] UKHL 2.
Lord Bingham did not agree that the policy arguments established in Hill and subsequently
followed in Brooks to be appropriate in the context of Smith. In Smith he attempted to introduce a
liability principle . The principle proposed that where evidence is credible and the threat is specific
and imminent, reasonable steps must be taken to assess such a threat and act where necessary. He
did not agree that adopting the principle would induce defensive practices, neither did he agree that
accepting the principle would detract from the police s primary functions. The liability principle
reflected the content of Article 2 European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR), Right to life.
Following the signing of the ECHR, the United Kingdom introduced the Human Rights Act 1998
(HRA 1998). Under s6(3)(a) HRA 1998, the courts are now considered a public body, therefore no
decisions they make can affect the guaranteed rights of any individual under ECHR. The

The North American Free Trade Agreement (TPP)
The TPP, if signed and enforced, would eliminate 98% of trade and non trade tariffs, from everyday

We do not want another family to have to suffer as our family did. Other diseases like
Salmonella and Campylobacter can also be introduced. In addition to these food safety risks, the
use of hazardous machinery and sharp knives can injure workers when mistakes are made. This
danger is exacerbated by the increasingly rapid speeds at which workers are expected to slaughter
and process animals. This can also cause AIDS and HIV when they come in contact with our
foods, if workers get injured while processing meats. The Federal health authorities have estimated
that foodborne diseases affect 1 in 6 Americans, which is over 48 million people. These diseases

Question 1: What are the three versions of the Copernican Turn?
Accordingly, Kant s aim is to rescue metaphysics from an endless war by embarking a turning point
in metaphysics as Nicolaus Copernicus did in cosmology. Copernicus denied the Ptolemaic

rejecting the assumption that the Earth was motionless and he suggested that motions of the

The world conforms to our modes of knowing and we know it only as it appears to us. According
to Kant, our knowledge begins with experience but does not arise out of experience ; experience
is already determined by the subject s a priori modes of knowledge. In other words, the objects of
experience are already conditioned by the subject s constitution and what human reason knows as
necessary and universal is what it has already put into experience. Simply, that means all our

Julie Heffernan Self portrait as Wunderkabinett
Museum visit assignment The Mint Museum in Charlotte, NC is a timeless building and a work
of art itself. The building was designed with a contemporary style and is an outward expression of
its artistic, belongings inside. I visited the Museum on Tuesday, July 02, 2013, at around 2 in the
afternoon. I was within the museum for about 2 ВЅ hours, observing the exhibits. The building

The artist creates a focal point with the only woman whose face viewers cannot see. The women s
dress appears to have caught on fire and produces luminosity around the chandelier, forming a
shadow within the corners of the room, which brings the viewers eyes from the main woman, up to
the chandelier, as shown in the picture to the left. Heffernan s paintings express her untamed
imagination with majestic fantasy, dream like subjects, yet she paints with a very classic technique.
When I first viewed The Self Portrait as Wunderkabinett, Michelangelo s Sistine Chapel came to
mind. Michelangelo illustrates the desire and describes the oneness that humans anticipate with
God through salvation. The artists painting technique is traditional, with the sensible and realistic
proportions of the human body, the distinguishing lines, the application of shadow, the intricate
detail on every object within the painting, and the use of traditional complementary color pairs.
Julie Heffernan was born in 1956. She was raised in Northern California but resides in Brooklyn,
New York today. She received a BFA from the University of California, Santa Cruz and incredibly,
her Masters of Fine Art in Painting from the Yale School of Art. A significant moment that
contributes to her talent as an artist was in 1986 where she lived in Berlin for two years, studying
and practicing constantly during her stay. Her process for creating a new

The Gutenberg Bible Essay
Created by Johannes Gutenberg, The Gutenberg Bible was the first mass produced book through
the use of a moveable printer. Known for its artistic Latin writing, the Bible only has forty nine
copies remaining, one residing at the Harry Ransom Center at The University of Texas at Austin.
The Gutenberg Bibleexhibits religious qualities from the message, directly from God, and the
original purpose of the creation of the Bible.
A vital component of The Gutenberg Bible is the origin of the divine message in the religious text.
The basis of religion is when someone believes or follows something or someone devotedly.
Therefore in Christianity, anyone who receives and lives by the word of God will be granted eternal
life in heaven. In The Meditation ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Gutenberg Bible s purpose was to spread the message of God that can view through the
mass production of the Bible for the first time in history. Due to the moveable printer, the Bible
were more accessible to a larger audience. According to Mark 16:15, And He said to them, Go
into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature, the spreading of God s Gospel is a
message told by God for his followers to perform. Therefore, Johannes Gutenberg s actions in
producing the Bible was a sacred act through the following of God s message. By following God s
message, the object that is used, The Gutenberg Bible, is then a religious item used for the religious
act. Because of the newly invented Bible, the common man had an opportunity to have a material
presence of God that wasn t available to them beforehand. For the common man, The Gutenberg
Bible represented the divine, as the book was the words of God and to the common man, God
himself. Furthermore, The Gutenberg Bible s aesthetic qualities are seen through the font of the
Bible that serve to augment the religious qualities of the message sent by God. Just as mentioned in
class, decorated text or calligraphy, the artistic qualities of the text brings the viewer into the text
and entices them into the continual reading of the text. In the case of The

The Types Of Incarceration In The Film Erin Brockovich
After watching Erin Brockovich I realized she had so many types of incarceration in her life.
The movie did not talk much about her childhood but did talk about her life from her early
twenties on. She was a single mom with two children, had two divorces and is struggling to pay
bills. She was incarcerated as soon as the movie started because she got into a bad car accident
that was not her fault and needed to pay medical bills. She had a neck brace on which made it
hard for her to move and do normal tasks like eat, take care of her kids and work. This was her
first type of incarceration because she was not able to do anything she wanted to do and this ended
up leading to her other types of incarceration. Then there was a bit of an up lift

Italian Greyhound Research Paper
Italian Greyhound
I remember the very first day my family and I got our Italian Greyhound, Cyrus. My Sister wanted
to get a dog so badly so we all got on my dad s computer to order one. My Mom wanted a dog that
was cat like so we chose an Italian Greyhound as our dog. We were surprised to find out that he
would be coming from Nebraska in only three days. This meant that we were totally unprepared to
receive him but we still did from the airport. Even though he was shy at first he grew to be a hyper
little dog and to love us. Even though I love to be with him I don t know much about his kind, so
I decided to find out where and when they originated, What their body is like, and what it is like to
live with them.
The best place to start would be where the Italian Greyhound first originated and how it got where it
is today. The Italian Greyhound despite its name is not thought to have ... Show more content on

when he set Bridget s body afire, he did not think that he was actually burning his wife s body but
rather that of a changeling of a fairy that had taken possession of her. Using the resources and

where two paradoxical ways of perceiving the world coexisted: one view in which the traditional
cultural values persisted in which fairy beliefs were common and oral history dominated; and
another in which the scientific and the modern were underscored, and history and traditions were
written down. The tension between these two opposing views of the world unequivocally
manifested themselves in the trial of Michael Clearly for murder his wife, as the fairy defense
was invoked as the murder, which took place in rural island, was shockingly blamed on the peasant

What Impact Does A Difficult Temperament Have On Social...
What impact does a difficult temperament have on social competence in preschool children?
The ability to regulate emotions, thoughts, and behaviors while controlling impulses all have to do
with self management and regulation. These social related skills are impacted by one s own
temperament. Though temperament is believed to be present at birth, research indicates that there are
many environmental factors that can influence temperament. Originally, research on temperament
traits in young children were focused on a child s genetic disposition at birth. However; today,
environmental influences are considered to be equally important to the influence of a child s
temperament development as inborn predispositions. Temperament impacts the young child in
many ways, especially in the development of social competence as it relates to the ability to
empathize with others and in the development of relationship skills including ability to effectively
communicate. Rudasill, Reio, and Stipanovic (2010) research also reiterated that teachers who
create positive, nurturing, and affectionate classroom environments are more likely to have
students who flourish and assert positive social skills when managing social and behavioral
challenges.
Definition of Difficult Temperament
Michael P. McCreery in his article Temperament as a Behavioral Construct, defined temperament as
the biological makeup of an individual shaped over time by heredity, maturity, and experiences.

Torres Strait Islanders Identity
For most of their (over) 45,000 years history, Torres Strait Islanders have established their own
unique identity as a group and within their respective collectives, partially due to limited contact
between the Torres Strait Islands and Europeans, until Britain s colonisation in 1788; Therefore, the
last two centuries as a result of colonisation have undoubtedly effectuated the alienation of the
Torres Strait Islanders, and ergo had pernicious influences on their identity. As argued by Mua
Makereta business exploitations in the 1860s by pearl shells particularly changed the Torres Strait
Islandsas the QueenslandGovernment formally annexed the islands , and made a centre for the
marine industry on Thursday Island as the Europeans viewed the islanders as a lesser breed who
had no right in deciding what would happen to the Islands. Usually contact between the Europeans
and the Islanders was often transient and socially distanced, but the arrival of the London
Missionary Society in 1871 on the Islands resulted in their attempt to impose Christian discipline on
the Islanders, therefore manipulating their identity. Although they typically didn t allow music,
when they did the teachers from the London Missionary Society were especially suspicious of the

Australian Curriculum
INTRODUCTION.
Curriculum is designed to develop successful learners. Confident and creative individuals and
active and informed citizens (MCEECDYA, 2008, p.13). In 2008, the Australian Government
promised to deliver a fair and equitable curriculum for the national s educational system, taking the
task away from the State and Local Governments. The purpose of this was to create an even level
of education throughout the country whether in Hobart of Cape York, and to ensure our nations
position into the 21st century. This essay will demonstrate the Nation s curriculum, its structure and
development ready for its initial implementation in 2011.

The National Curriculum can be viewed publicly and feedback is encouraged on the Australian
Curriculum Website www.australiancurriculum.edu.au (ACARA, 2009.) Brady and Kennedy
(2008) indicate the benefit of the national curriculum and common testing, stating, you can be
confident that the test being done is pretty much the same test an aboriginal student will be doing in
elsewhere in Australia.
VARIOUS DEFINITIONS OF CURRICULUM.
The origins of the word curriculum date back to ancient times and in fact the work comes from
the Latin word of currere: a course or race or to run (Smith, 1996,2000). Over many decades,
people have argued over the various definitions. Tanner (1980) defined it as the planned and
guided learning experiences and intended outcomes , whilst Pratt (1980) defined it as a written
document describing goals planned, objectives, content and evaluation. So s it a course of
study? Or can it be defined as content or a product( Marsh, 2008). Marsh (2008) goes on to
include that at a variety of learning sites are a set of objectives for student learning. We can also
relate this to Tyler s objective curriculum model being that the first step to curriculum is always to
set the objective. The Model of Taba from 1962, is the same model at Tyler s but includes
interaction and flow between all four stages, so we do not always need the objective before we start
writing the content to the curriculum.

The Service Sector Management Class
Interactive, collaborative conversations with customers are essential for gaining critical
information and insight about customers situations and enable salespeople to offer unique, added
value solutions for customers needs. (SELL4, Cengage Learning, 82) Communication skills, to me,
is the main topic within the Service Sector Management class. The reason I believe this is because
in order to build trust, sale, understand the buyer, etc. you must be able to talk to the customers.
Trust based salescommunicationis when you must talk with the customer rather than at them. It is a
collaborative and two way form of communication that allows buyers and sellers to better
understand the need of situations and working together to create the best responses for resolving
the customer s needs. Trust based communication is the sharing of importance between buying and
sellingindividuals that result from the interactive process of exchanging information and ideas.
With this emphasis on establishing understanding, communication is essential throughout each
stage of the selling process. Effective communication skills are needed to classify buying needs and
to demonstrate to buyers how a salesperson s planned solution can satisfy those needs better than
competitors. The critical capabilities for effective selling include questioning, listening, giving
information, nonverbal communication, and written communication skills. Although each of these
skills are needed in everyday life, they

What Are The Rewards In Walden Economy
In Walden Economy , Thoreau states that For a long time I was a reporter to a journal, of no
very wide circulation, whose editor has never yet seen fit to print the bulk of my contributions,
and, as is too common with writers, I got only my labor for my pains. However, in this case, my
pains were their own reward. This pain is written to be a reward for Thoreau. The reward that is
received is the reward of hard work and learning. Even though Thoreau had a very low job in the
journalism industry, and made many works for the business, many never saw the light of day. What
is understood though, is that he was not very angry or disappointed with the results, but instead

This not only applies to his field of work but also applies to his life. Thoreau not only learned to
write better, but it also helps in forming habits that last a lifetime. The reward is much deeper
than writing. A life lesson only learned through failure is earned. The lesson is that through
failure, you find success. Many of history s greats have all learned the lesson and never stopped
after their first failure, but instead learned and continued to work hard to achieve their goals.
This lesson of pain being a reward is shown throughout my life. Through high school, grades
never came easy, studying hard and through plenty of gruesome hours was necessary for success.
I struggled in applying myself to study every night and took a more relaxed and fun approach to
the high school life. This turned into failure quickly and through the failure, I was forced to form
study habits and get rid of many distractions. This failure was required in understanding how to
become successful through my academic career, as well as life. This lesson is applied to me
waking up every morning with a positive attitude and work

The s Fashion Forward Neighborhood Of Soho
After a long day of working retail in Manhattan s fashion forward neighborhood of Soho, going
home tends to be the best part of my day. I usually take the length of my fifteen minute walk
home to decompress, reflect upon my day and enjoy the solitude. I imagine the shoppers who
heavily populated the streets earlier in the day cozying up in their chic, chandelier adorned high
rises, furnished with a coffee table stacked with vintage editions of Vogue, blogging about their
most recent fashion finds. Recently, as I mindlessly admired the window displays of the shops
lining Broadway, I noticed that the large windows of Bebe were barren; not because a new
window display was being installed, but because they had closed this particular location,
indefinitely. Although, I haven t purchased clothing from Bebe in over a decade, I couldn t help
but feel nostalgic about my pre teen years. I specifically remembered a hot pink, terry cloth,
cropped hoodie from Bebe that I adored. Ten years ago, I, like most people, did not care about how
tacky I looked, I only cared about flaunting the bedazzled Bebe logoproudly across my chest. As a
pre teen girl in the early 2000 s, obtaining your own article of rhinestone adorned Bebe clothing
was like a rite of passage into your teenage years. Now, obtaining your first basic black tee from
Topshop is considered the norm. One can only assume that if Bebe cannot afford a storefront in
Soho, their sales might not be doing as well as they used to. For

The Relativity Of Deviance And The Sociological Theory
The Relativity of Deviance Deviance in sociological terms can be defined as any form of
deviation from the social norms, or laws. Additionally, deviance is considered relative, as in what
constitutes as deviant varies from person to person. Howard S. Becker, an American sociologist
and researcher of deviancy once stated, It s not the act itself, but the reactions to the act, that makes
something deviant (Becker/Henslin 1966). In other words, any action or behavior that draws a
reaction out of someone could theoretically be a deviant act. However, Becker wasn t the first
sociologist fascinated with deviancy, nor will he be the last. Since the late eighteen hundreds
sociologists have gained a considerable perspective regarding deviancy, consequently coming up
with three primary theories explaining its significance and function. Sociologist Г‰mile Durkheim
explained deviance through a functionalist approach. Durkheim explains that, deviance has several
functions, it clarifies norms and increases conformity and it strengthens bonds among the people
reacting to the deviant (Barkan 2017). The side effect of this a marginalization of those whose
economic or cultural backgrounds don t coincide with the majority. Sociologist Robert Merton
states that the result of deviance among the underprivileged is the result of a gap between the
cultural emphasis on economic success and the inability to achieve such success (Merton 1938). As
a result, a

Fiasco Finish Descriptive Writing
The Fiasco Finish As I struggled to continue running on that August afternoon just four months
ago, the blinding rays of sunlight shone down upon me. The skin piercing rays of sunlight,
along with the high heat and humidity, overpowered anyone that dared to take a step outside.
My face glistening with sweat was proof of that. I once again automatically raised my right foot
as my left racing spike hit the damp ground, still soggy from the previous day s rain. With my
blue eyes focused on the maze, which was the North Branch Golf Course, a.k.a. the North
Decatur High School cross country course. North Decatur High School s cross country course, I
swung my rather thin arms to and fro and my dark blond ponytail bobbed with every step.
Unfortunately, few markers or signs pointed the way. Consequently, I, along with the rest of the
herd of about two dozen high school maze runners from four area schools, was left wondering
where to go. My completely royal blue uniform glistened with sweat, and my breath cackled as I
searched ahead for a faded yellow flag set in the short muddy grass marking the way. The fact it
was the first meet of my junior season already made my task difficult enough; not knowing where
to go just made matters worse. Fortunately, I recognized this final part of the... Show more content

I remember the 48 hour exercise restriction that made me sad but relieved at the same time since I
was so tired. I also remembered missing my pre cal test the following morning. I considered my
diagnosis: dehydration and heat exhaustion. I thought about how I let down my team because they
could not score at the meet without my finish. I knew better. If I learned anything from that day, it
would be that every day, or more specifically, every race, is not perfect. The bad races make you
appreciate the good ones that much more. My team and family proved how supporting they really

Intro Aria Grande
The piece of music I decided to choose is Intro by Ariana Grande. Since I have such a strong love
for music there are a lot of song that I love and it s hard to choose one that I love the most.
However, if I was ever asked what is my favorite song I would probably say that song by Ariane
Grande is. She is a very talented artist and I love so many of her songs but that one is my favorite.
The only downside about the songis that it s only a minute and 20 seconds long because it s just
an intro to the album. Then again, I often think that s why it s such a great song, because it leaves
the mind wondering. The overall genre of this song is pop and R B which probably has something
to do with why I love the song so much because those are my two favorite genres. The... Show more

The tempo of the song is very consistent, it never speeds up nor slows down. The rhythm of this
song can be a bit hard to find since it s so slow but the rhythm follows the 1, 2, 3 pace. The texture
of the song changes, it starts off as homophonic when she accompanied by the backup singing the
accompanied by the instruments. Then it turns into monophonic with the solo of the
instruments. This song has two major functions in my life which is aesthetic enjoyment and
emotional expression. In my opinion, this song s beauty is the epitome of perfection, I have no
problem saying that this song is one of the, if not the most beautiful song I have ever heard. I
would say it functions say emotional expression because I feel as though with the melody alone
it speaks to me. Every single time I hear this song I feel that happy and peaceful feeling you feel
when you re in love. Even if not being in love this can make you excited for it. Though the song
is very slow, the mood of it is happy. You can tell from the lyrics that she is in love and happy to be
in love. You can also get hope from the lyrics, she is hopefully that they can go together and be

To His Coy Mistress by Andrew Marvell
Andrew Marvell s poem, To His Coy Mistress is an equally beautiful and provocative piece of
writing. Written in iambic form as a three part proposition addressed to the coy mistress, the
poem is permeated with literary devices such as tone, alliteration, imagery, hyperbole, as well as
similes and metaphors. Marvell s speaker acknowledges the idea that mortality is of little to no
value after death. Through the speaker, Marvell is suggesting that one can avoid the regrets of
not participating in the adventurous aspects of life by seizing the day, thus supporting the Carpe
Diem philosophy. The three part proposition can be identified through the change of the poem s
tone as well as the change of pace. The first argument has a sly and devious tone. Had we but
world enough, and time, This coyness, lady, were no crime. (lines 1 2). The use of the
punctuations, the commas and the period, hinders the pace of the poem. In doing so, it shows the
insignificance of time at that moment. The insignificance of time at the moment is further
emphasized when the speaker tells his mistress that they would sit down, and think which way,
To walk, and pass [their] long love s day (lines 3 4). The use of alliteration creates a carefree
tone, as if the speaker was daydreaming and sighing as he was trying to woo his mistress. Marvell
uses delicate and sublime imagery to flatter the mistress with a seemingly disingenuous
exaggeration of her physical beauty. Because of the unrealistic use

Anselm and the proof for the existence of God
Introduction In the middle ages there were many ideas of the existence of God but there was one
common thing that everyone knew, God existed. Although everyone agreed that God existed,
philosophers such Anselm tried to prove God s existence anyway. In the passage Prosolgium,
Anselm is trying to prove the existenceof God to Ganilo by giving two approaches. The goal of the
dialog is to prove that the combination accepting that God exists and not believing that God exists
is not possible. The conclusion of Anselm s proofs are that God exists. In order to understand
where Anselm is coming from we have to have some background information. Anselm is speaking
to Ganilo about the fool, in other words the atheists, that understands two important aspects of God.
The first is that he accepts that claim that God exists and the second is that he does not believe in
the existence of God. The next big piece of Anselm s proofs is his definition of God which is that
than which nothing greater can be thought . The definition is stating that it is not possible for
something greater then God to be thought. Knowing these two very important aspects of
information we can dive into the argument itself. Proofs for the Existence of God As mentioned
before, Anselm comes with two proofs for the existence of God and we will start with the first
proof. The first proof begins with Anselm s definition of God which is that than which nothing
great can be thought. The definition is saying that God

Essay on The Innovators of American Literature
The Innovators of American Literature
From their critical assessments on how to improve themselves and to the American public that they
influenced by their writings, Jonathan Edwards and Benjamin Franklin illustrate American themes
in their personal narratives that quintessentially make part of American Literature. Although they
lived in different times during the early development of the United States of America and wrote for
different purposes, they share common themes. Their influence by their environment,
individualism, proposals for a better society, and events that affected their society generate from
their writings. By analyzing Jonathan Edwards Personal Narrative, Resolutions, Sinners in the

Benjamin Franklin did not hold his family beliefs of Christianity, but from his early environment,
he drew his relationship to God as a Deist. Franklin believed there is a Supreme Being and it is
our job to discover our own reality by reasoning. In his autobiography, he notes several epiphanies
that changed his lifestyle. For example, he regretted his leaving Miss Read for England without
pursuing their relationship further. He calls these regrets or wrongdoings Erratum (Lauter 788).
The spirituality of Franklin and Edwards is distinctive, and their writings reflect their experiences
and growth of improvement. Franklin as a Deist felt that he created his destiny by the decisions he
made. His autobiography illustrates his faults and accomplishments. This openness aims to the
audience, the American, in order for them to reevaluate themselves and improve from their
weaknesses. Franklin wanted Americans to become better Americans. With Edwards beliefs, he
felt that god predestined every man, and only the elect entered in the afterlife to heaven. He
focuses his writing to the Christian audience. His goal is to prepare them to become candidates to
be elect and show how the elect can set an example for the rest of the congregation. These men felt
the responsibility to live a better life and set the example for every man in their community. As
individuals, they constantly contemplate and self evaluate there

Evil And Socialism In Upton Sinclair s The Jungle
! Upton Sinclair s The Jungle is about an immigrant family who moved to America for opportunities
and found themselves in the Gilded Age. The conditions of the factories, housing and workers were
disgusting. Social Darwinism is shown throughout the book with tons of different characters and
metaphors. Upton Sinclairs purpose and main theme for the book was that Capitalism is evil and
Socialism should replace it.
During the book it shows the effect that capitalism has on Jurgis as he slowly deteriorates. It also
shows other characters and how they deal with the pressure of trying to survive. Some of the
people did some terrible things to stay alive and thriving.
! Social Darwinism is when people do whatever they have to do to survive. The people in The
Jungle do terrible things to stay ahead of the game. One example is when
Conner denies everything in court so Jurgis gets thrown in jail. If Conner had told the truth
Conner might have gone to jail too and that would ruin his reputation. Another example would
be when Marija had to turn to prostitution so she could make enough money to survive. She
could have gotten arrested, simply because she was trying to live. A lot of people rationalize
their actions with the simple fact of if they didn t do these things, they cant support themselves or
their families. The managers of Packingtown seem to have the mentality that their life has been
terrible so why should their workers have it any better? Conner is an Irish immigrant so he
understands how hard it is to be an immigrant in America, yet he still treats Jurgis and Ona
terribly. It isn t very common to find someone that will help you out and be your friend.
Throughout the novel, Jurgis witnesses more and more people that he cares about die. There isn t
anything he can do about it because they don t have enough money. Eventually Jurgis starts to do
everything he can to find a job or at least money. People are taking his money and cheating him
out of his money. When Jurgis lived on the streets begging, he was stripped of his dignity. Jurgis
ran into Jack Duane again and fully went to the dark side.
He turns into a street thief and starts swindling people just like he had been when he first got to
America. He went from

how she was given these expectations. Her parents were common in laws and they ended up

Japanese American Internment Research Paper
In World War II, when Japan became a threat to America, America took action and soon began the
internment of Japanese Americans. Because they could not possibly put 110,000 in jail, they
instead put most of the Japanese American people in concentration camps in remote areas (Japanese
American Internment, ushistory.org). The author of our textbook, Eric Foner, described the
internment of Japanese Americans in one of his author videos as the greatest violation of civil
liberties in American history other than the existence of slavery. FDR was coerced into issuing
Executive Order 9066, which led to the relocation of 110,000 people from their homes into isolated
camps; two thirds of these people were American citizens. The living conditions... Show more

One example of a contemporary topic that is in the news in the U.S. that relates to the anti
Japanese attitude is the Muslim community. The Muslim community is looked at in a very similar
way to which the Japanese Americans were looked at during World War II. Even though there is a
large majority of Muslims in America that are American citizens and were born in America, many
people fear them and are uncomfortable in their presence. Although returning to the practice of
isolating a whole race in camps is not acceptable, America is taking action by secluding them from
our country. As told by Adam Liptak from New York Times in an article named Supreme Court
Allows Trump Travel Ban to Take Effect, on December fourth of 2017 the Supreme Court
authorized a travel ban to go into effect. The travel ban restricts the travel of people from eight
different nations which included six that are largely Muslim nations. There are different restrictions
for each nation, however most include the restriction of immigration to America permanently; some
of the nations are not even allowed to visit the country. While it is understood that precautions are
being taken to protect our country, we cannot accuse a person of partaking in harmful events and
beliefs just because of their

The Role Of Pancasila In Indonesian Ideology
Lately, Pancasila (Five Principles), Indonesian ideology, has been a trending topic in Indonesia.
The first case was in the first quarter of 2016 when an Indonesian singer deliberately making fun
of the symbol of the fifth principle of Pancasila. Supposedly, the symbol of the fifth principle is
rice and cotton, however turned into a joke into twerking duck (Ramadhan, 2016). It was an insult
towards Indonesian ideology and she was facing an imprisonment and fine with the basis of
blasphemy of the state s symbol. The last recent case in the early of 2017, when an Indonesian
military officer was was teaching at an Australian military facility in Perth found a writing that the
Australian military officer slipped Pancasila into Pancagila in which gila means crazy or mad.
Because of this issue, Indonesia has retracted its special military unit, Kopassus, and suspended the
military relationship with Australia until the all things have been settled (Chang, 2017). Those two
cases reflect how serious Pancasila towards... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Pancasila provides directly that is perfectly fit the characteristics of Indonesia. For example, the
third principle of Pancasila ensures the unity between the citizens even though they are born from

Professor Greg Fealy of the Australian National University that Pancasila is used as the basis of the

In the original plate maps, the individual properties were much smaller and over half of the
nearly 65 acres making up Windrush I was set aside as riding paths. A stable was planned for the
corner of Havens Corners Rd. and Taylor Station. Before the first house was constructed, the
developer dropped the idea of equestrian community in favor of larger lots and a planned
development. Our POA was one of the very first community corporations in the State of Ohio. It
differs from a condo association in that each home is a fee simple property and you own the

when you buy a property in Windrush Creek POA and as such there are certain rules that apply to
all properties in the association. Some of those rules are holdovers from the equestrian concept.
Because there were bridle paths around, behind and between each property, no fences were

different than the planned cookie cutter condo communities. We each have a role in keeping

  • 2. Tee Talent Case Study Next, there is going to be five event recommendations on which Tee Talent can sponsor. The first three events are with organizations that have social missions that relate directly to accommodating people with disabilities, while the last two events are with organizations that have different types of social missions. It s important for Tee Talent to sponsor organizations with social missions that relate directly accommodating people with disabilities because it aligns with Tee Talent s mission of inclusion. This will help grow the business as Tee Talent will be able to connect with clients who have similar goals. However, it is important to also look at organizations who have different social missions as Tee Talent will be able to reach a larger audience. For the last study participants were told by the instructor that he was waiting for the participant s partner to arrive. The participants were told they would complete a joint task with their partner followed by sets of individual tasks for different research departments. While waiting for their partner they were instructed to do an individual task and watch a short video clip. The first group watched forty six seconds video of children in poverty. The ability to regulate emotions, thoughts, and behaviors while controlling impulses all have to do with self management and regulation. These social related skills are impacted by one s own temperament. Though temperament is believed to be present at birth, research indicates that there are many environmental factors that can influence temperament. Originally, research on temperament traits in young children were focused on a child s genetic disposition at birth. However; today, environmental influences are considered to be equally important to the influence of a child s temperament development as inborn predispositions. Temperament impacts the young child in many ways, especially in the development of social competence as it relates to the ability to empathize with others and in the development of relationship skills including ability to effectively communicate. VARIOUS DEFINITIONS OF CURRICULUM. The origins of the word curriculum date back to ancient times and in fact the work comes from the Latin word of currere: a course or race or to run (Smith, 1996,2000). Over many decades, people have argued over the various definitions. Tanner (1980) defined it as the planned and guided learning experiences and intended outcomes , whilst Pratt (1980) defined it as a written document describing goals planned, objectives, content and evaluation. So s it a course of study? Or can it be defined as content or a product( Marsh, 2008). Marsh (2008) goes on to include that at a variety of learning sites are a set of objectives for student learning. We can also relate this to Tyler s objective curriculum model being that the first step to curriculum is always to set the objective. • 35. What Are The Rewards In Walden Economy In Walden Economy , Thoreau states that For a long time I was a reporter to a journal, of no very wide circulation, whose editor has never yet seen fit to print the bulk of my contributions, and, as is too common with writers, I got only my labor for my pains. However, in this case, my pains were their own reward. This pain is written to be a reward for Thoreau. The reward that is received is the reward of hard work and learning. Even though Thoreau had a very low job in the journalism industry, and made many works for the business, many never saw the light of day. What is understood though, is that he was not very angry or disappointed with the results, but instead found a sort of happiness or reward . Through understanding, Thoreau... Thoreau not only learned to write better, but it also helps in forming habits that last a lifetime. The reward is much deeper than writing. A life lesson only learned through failure is earned. The lesson is that through failure, you find success. Many of history s greats have all learned the lesson and never stopped after their first failure, but instead learned and continued to work hard to achieve their goals. This lesson of pain being a reward is shown throughout my life. Through high school, grades never came easy, studying hard and through plenty of gruesome hours was necessary for success. I struggled in applying myself to study every night and took a more relaxed and fun approach to the high school life. This turned into failure quickly and through the failure, I was forced to form study habits and get rid of many distractions. This failure was required in understanding how to become successful through my academic career, as well as life. • 36. The s Fashion Forward Neighborhood Of Soho After a long day of working retail in Manhattan s fashion forward neighborhood of Soho, going home tends to be the best part of my day. I usually take the length of my fifteen minute walk home to decompress, reflect upon my day and enjoy the solitude. I imagine the shoppers who heavily populated the streets earlier in the day cozying up in their chic, chandelier adorned high rises, furnished with a coffee table stacked with vintage editions of Vogue, blogging about their most recent fashion finds. Recently, as I mindlessly admired the window displays of the shops lining Broadway, I noticed that the large windows of Bebe were barren; not because a new window display was being installed, but because they had closed this particular location, indefinitely. Although, I haven t purchased clothing from Bebe in over a decade, I couldn t help but feel nostalgic about my pre teen years. I specifically remembered a hot pink, terry cloth, cropped hoodie from Bebe that I adored. Ten years ago, I, like most people, did not care about how tacky I looked, I only cared about flaunting the bedazzled Bebe logoproudly across my chest. As a pre teen girl in the early 2000 s, obtaining your own article of rhinestone adorned Bebe clothing was like a rite of passage into your teenage years. Now, obtaining your first basic black tee from Topshop is considered the norm. One can only assume that if Bebe cannot afford a storefront in Soho, their sales might not be doing as well as they used to. For ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 38. The Relativity Of Deviance And The Sociological Theory The Relativity of Deviance Deviance in sociological terms can be defined as any form of deviation from the social norms, or laws. Additionally, deviance is considered relative, as in what constitutes as deviant varies from person to person. Howard S. Becker, an American sociologist and researcher of deviancy once stated, It s not the act itself, but the reactions to the act, that makes something deviant (Becker/Henslin 1966). In other words, any action or behavior that draws a reaction out of someone could theoretically be a deviant act. However, Becker wasn t the first sociologist fascinated with deviancy, nor will he be the last. Since the late eighteen hundreds sociologists have gained a considerable perspective regarding deviancy, consequently coming up with three primary theories explaining its significance and function. Sociologist Г‰mile Durkheim explained deviance through a functionalist approach. Durkheim explains that, deviance has several functions, it clarifies norms and increases conformity and it strengthens bonds among the people reacting to the deviant (Barkan 2017). The side effect of this a marginalization of those whose economic or cultural backgrounds don t coincide with the majority. Sociologist Robert Merton states that the result of deviance among the underprivileged is the result of a gap between the cultural emphasis on economic success and the inability to achieve such success (Merton 1938). The skin piercing rays of sunlight, along with the high heat and humidity, overpowered anyone that dared to take a step outside. My face glistening with sweat was proof of that. I once again automatically raised my right foot as my left racing spike hit the damp ground, still soggy from the previous day s rain. With my blue eyes focused on the maze, which was the North Branch Golf Course, a.k.a. the North Decatur High School cross country course. North Decatur High School s cross country course, I swung my rather thin arms to and fro and my dark blond ponytail bobbed with every step. Unfortunately, few markers or signs pointed the way. Consequently, I, along with the rest of the herd of about two dozen high school maze runners from four area schools, was left wondering where to go. My completely royal blue uniform glistened with sweat, and my breath cackled as I searched ahead for a faded yellow flag set in the short muddy grass marking the way. The fact it was the first meet of my junior season already made my task difficult enough; not knowing where to go just made matters worse. Fortunately, I recognized this final part of the... • 46. To His Coy Mistress by Andrew Marvell Andrew Marvell s poem, To His Coy Mistress is an equally beautiful and provocative piece of writing. Written in iambic form as a three part proposition addressed to the coy mistress, the poem is permeated with literary devices such as tone, alliteration, imagery, hyperbole, as well as similes and metaphors. Marvell s speaker acknowledges the idea that mortality is of little to no value after death. Through the speaker, Marvell is suggesting that one can avoid the regrets of not participating in the adventurous aspects of life by seizing the day, thus supporting the Carpe Diem philosophy. The three part proposition can be identified through the change of the poem s tone as well as the change of pace. The first argument has a sly and devious tone. Had we but world enough, and time, This coyness, lady, were no crime. (lines 1 2). The use of the punctuations, the commas and the period, hinders the pace of the poem. In doing so, it shows the insignificance of time at that moment. The insignificance of time at the moment is further emphasized when the speaker tells his mistress that they would sit down, and think which way, To walk, and pass [their] long love s day (lines 3 4). The use of alliteration creates a carefree tone, as if the speaker was daydreaming and sighing as he was trying to woo his mistress. Marvell uses delicate and sublime imagery to flatter the mistress with a seemingly disingenuous exaggeration of her physical beauty. Because of the unrealistic use ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 47. Anselm and the proof for the existence of God Introduction In the middle ages there were many ideas of the existence of God but there was one common thing that everyone knew, God existed. Although everyone agreed that God existed, philosophers such Anselm tried to prove God s existence anyway. In the passage Prosolgium, Anselm is trying to prove the existenceof God to Ganilo by giving two approaches. The goal of the dialog is to prove that the combination accepting that God exists and not believing that God exists is not possible. The conclusion of Anselm s proofs are that God exists. In order to understand where Anselm is coming from we have to have some background information. Anselm is speaking to Ganilo about the fool, in other words the atheists, that understands two important aspects of God. The first is that he accepts that claim that God exists and the second is that he does not believe in the existence of God. The next big piece of Anselm s proofs is his definition of God which is that than which nothing greater can be thought . The definition is stating that it is not possible for something greater then God to be thought. Knowing these two very important aspects of information we can dive into the argument itself. Proofs for the Existence of God As mentioned before, Anselm comes with two proofs for the existence of God and we will start with the first proof. The first proof begins with Anselm s definition of God which is that than which nothing great can be thought. The definition is saying that God ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The people in The Jungle do terrible things to stay ahead of the game. One example is when Conner denies everything in court so Jurgis gets thrown in jail. If Conner had told the truth Conner might have gone to jail too and that would ruin his reputation. Another example would be when Marija had to turn to prostitution so she could make enough money to survive. She could have gotten arrested, simply because she was trying to live.
