2. Pre-Production Feedback
From our pre-production, feedback was well and good as
we had to talk to three different people about our
project and the storyline, as to what they had thought
about it. It was very loose, the storyline didn’t make
much sense to people outside DTEC, therefore we
created a questionnaire to give results to a problem that
was already pre-existing.
From this conclusion of the answers, I figured that the
film was meant to be in the young adult section, which
means that that audience prefers the film better. This
better determined how much explicit content we should
include.
Furthermore, the comments were positive, however I do
agree with one or two that they didn’t find the storyline
very easy to understand. This questionnaire built the
origin of the audience.

Drama
I like Drama, and I am really
avid to watching drama related
series. I think that this is right
up my street and because of
that, a drama is good.
I just don’t see any horror
aspects. The Script doesn’t
look boring either, seems
like it is very action packed.
I don’t think it is very
interesting. I don’t find any
attention seeked onto it and
thus I find it to be a Drama
because it could be very
boring.

It does have some elements of
violence in it and I wouldn’t
want my young brother to see
that. I think that it should be
seen for some eyes only, and
it involves some swearing.
I think it has some violence
in it however it’s not going
to have vigorous
movements that could be
copied in real life therefore I
find it to be a 12.
I just think that a parent needs
to watch this with the child
because it involves betting and
hope of being rich.

It looks good but it seems
hard to follow at some
points
I find this film to be very in-
depth. It's very good for a
short film however where does
it allow for the audience to be
able to concentrate on one
thing? The script seems a bit
messy.
It’s okay, I don’t think much of
it at this stage because I
cannot imagine what it would
look like. The script seems a
bit sudden in places.

3. Post-Production Feedback
After much feedback from post production, it came back quite
positive. With some minor tweaks, we had many people asking
us for their opinion on our movie. We did this for the pure
reason that we wanted to improve and change for our current &
next movies that we’re to produce.
We used Google Forms to produce the results for our research.
Google Forms was good for what we needed to do, because we
could both view the individual feedback and the total amount of
feedback with valid sets of answers.
I decided that I should take a small sample from the feedback,
ranging different people, with both male & female answers.
With different ages and prospects with their lives. I also asked
for feedback relating to what kind of film it is, and if all the
research we put in for this project turned out to work well with
the film.
We got a total of 12 answers from the questionnaire.
I will sample three people who gave reasonable answers.

6. Evaluation of Sample 1
In this sample, she talked about how the film enticed her into the entire origin of it.
She understood the storyline, however the person found it to be a bit odd in places,
if not misplaced. It could be portrayed as having bad acting, which wasn’t our
intention with the film, but due to the small amount of time we had, I thought it
wasn’t a good result for acting as it ruined both development and post-production
editing.
This sample found the sound in the film good, which I am glad with as every sound
portrays it’s meaning quite well.

9. Evaluation of Sample 2
In this sample, Linda talked about how the film opened her eyes to the realism of
the subject of greed and anger. She knew that the character, Steve, was looking for
a way out of his current life and the way Steve was dreaming of the future. It
showed that it copies how people stereotypically find the scheme of lottery.
The sound and image of the film was also amazing, Linda found that the
cinematography was smooth and simple.
She didn’t have much to comment else apart from the smaller issues. Because I
know the person, I spoke to her about it and the only issue she found with it was
the quality of the video, it was lower than expected, and some times the focus was
lacking and this resulted in her squinting a little bit. However she did say that it
doesn’t affect the storyline.

12. Evaluation of Sample 3
In this example, Sam Rogers explained his problems with the movie. There were
literally no problems with this film. This is so good because the positive feedback
for this movie makes us want to push on further with the film.
13. In regards to the micro-elements..
I think that the film in regards to the micro-elements worked perfectly. Comments from the
audience had stated that the cinematography was flawless, with no issue with what kind of shot
they expected to see at the moment in the film. The sounds were an important feature of the film,
as it brought conclusion to the storyline.
The Mise-en-scene was a little issue though, only because the film was intended to be a drama, it
assured to the audience that it can run on a day to day favor, unlike a horror, where clothes can be
usually quite ragged, camperish, with brown looking clothing.
The micro-elements produced a good favor in our film because a lot of people in the current
generation don’t read books or read the story like it’s meant to. Instead, people like the action and
visuals of the movie, therefore the storyline didn’t occur to be a problem.
