2. COLOUR SCHEME
My colour scheme are subtle, which attracts bot male and female, I
used the colour purple this colour is between red and blue, red is a
feminine colour which suggest passion and romance, the colour blue
suggest masculinity and power.
The colour grey is also between black and white, black is more for
men and the colour white is one of purity which reflects more on
women. I have put colours that suite both genders so that I can attract
a wider range of audience.

3. I have researched other magazines that target the same
target audience as I do.
When deciding on y front cover layout and structure I have
based it on vibe magazine, this is because they have
different layout depending on who the model is. I have
followed vibe magazine colour scheme because it is very
simplistic.
I have also followed vibe magazine cover because the artist
are well known and this attract consumer.
XXL magazine is a very influential hip-hop magazine,
XXL colour scheme is very simple which is mostly
black. The cover is contains Eminem,50 Cent and Dr
Dre, this people are well known which attracts people
to buy XXL magazine.
For my magazine cover I have used a full shot image
this is because most of XXL magazine are full shots
instead of a close-up.

4. Front cover.
My front cover model is a girl, this would attract
more female than male because of the way she is
dressed, as she is not showing a lot of skin. My
model is dressed in a simple vest top and burgundy
trouser, bubble hat, with a grey puma trainer. The
colour of her outfit is very simple and very laid back
, this is because the colour needs to reflect my
music genre which is hip=hop/rap.
I haven’t added anything to show diversity this is
because I want my magazine to be available to every
country. My model is black and this follows the
notion that hip-hop/rap music are meant for black
people, this shows diversity because I am only focus
on a certain ethnicity.
My model is dressed in subtle colour and the way she
is laid back and relax would appeal males because
she is not forced to be a certain way. My model is
between the age of 17-18 which is between the ages
of my target audience.

5. Content page
My content page consists of two images, the first
picture is of a girl between my target audience age,
she is dressed in a black hoody which would appeal
both genders but the way that her facial expression
would appeal females because it is overly girly. People
interested in hip-hop/rap music would be attracted to
the way she is dressed because hoody is an
iconography of hip-hop/rap music. The way that she
is posed would attract males because it shows that
girls are gullible and easy to fool.
My model is black which again follows the notion
that hip-hop/rap artist are black
My second image is a passive one and it is of
Miguel at a concert, this image would attract
people who are like Miguel or interested in his
music. As the image is taken of Miguel in a
concert this would attract people who are
interested in concert and gigs. This image would
mainly attract female as Miguel is not wearing a
shirt.
