2. GENRE OF MY MAGAZINE
The genre of my magazine is Soul/RnB, and the social group my
magazine is targeting mostly black females between the age 14-24, also white
girls aged between 19-24 and finally boys from different ethnic groups.
3. CHOICE OF MODEL
My model choice was based on the
target audience and how they might
appeal to them.
She is black which represent my
most particular target group. I had her as
a black artist because of the dominant
view in RnB most RnB/Soul Artist are
dominated by Black female artist. E.g.
Beyoncé, Alicia Keys, Mary J Blige and
Jill Scott.
The pose that my models does
shows her as fearless and strong, which
can relate to my target demography, as
black strong women.
4. CLOTHING AND PROPS
CLOTHING:
The type of clothing my model wore was very chic and
soulful. It very simple yet my target demographic would
wear something relating to the clothing, and the jewelleries.
The clothing would be vibrate.
MAKE-UP:
PROPS:
I told my model to wear minimal make-up but a lot of RED lipstick.
The girls would be able to relate to her minimal, make-up style and
the colourful lips.
Holding a microphone in the DPS, this
connotes RnB/Soul as people who want to
be individual and shine on the spotlight.
5. LANGUAGE AND COLOUR
SCHEME
LANGUAGE:
The language incorporated in my magazine is
COLOUR SCHEME:
both formal and informal to compliment on that
fact that my target audience use both formal and My colour scheme are Red, White, Black and a hint of
light brown. This colour connate danger, love and
informal language. Also in magazines like VIBE
life/pure.
and RnB formal and informal language was used.
The colours are unisex and attracts to both boys, and
girls because of what they connote. I think they attract
to my target demographic very well.
