Sophie O'Connell- opening sequence script
1. Script
EXT. BUS-LATE AFTERNOON
We see the inside of a bus from the protagonist’s point of
view with diagetic headphone music playing in the background.
Protagonist’s victim gets onto bus and sits a few seats in
front of the protagonist.
EXT BUS-LATE AFTERNOON
Protagonist notices his victim and recognises them, as he
try’s to remember who it is. He moves a seat closer to the
girl and continues to stares at her. The protagonist then
realises who the girl is and flashbacks.
FLASHBACKS
A scene of primary school photos of the victim and protagonist
and videos of protagonist being bullied by victim. Shows
primary school flashback episodes of the protagonist being
bullied by the girl on the bus and her friends. Short
dialogue. Begins to show the montage of weapons and the man’s
portfolio he’s created on the girl.
EXT BUS-LATE AFTERNOON
The girl stands up and walks towards the door to get off at
the next stop. The protagonist follows her off and acts
suspicious as he follows her down the street.
INT.EXMPTY ROOM-EVENING
A cross cut between montages of scary shots and weapons. Use
of photos of the girl, cuts out her eyes and creates a
portfolio of her life.
EXT.BUS-EVENING:
Back to present time and the protagonist is shown continuing
to follow the girl home. The girl begins to realise the man is
following her and walks faster whilst repeatedly turning
around. She turns around once more and sees he’s disappeared
so sighs with relieve. As she continues to walk, the
protagonist is directly in front of her holding a knife. Then
cuts to blood puddles and a screaming echo.
