Screen fades from black to (Girl 1) walking down road
looking vulnerable
(Girl 1) walks past alley where there are two men looking
suspicious
(Boy 1) hands (boy 2) a small package which he puts in his
pocket
(Girl 1) is still walking and sees round corner (girl 2) and a
boy having a fight/argument
(Boy 1) says to (boy 2) “Keep this between us”
(Girl 2) says to boy “I hate you, just get out of my life!”
(Girl 1) looks away and continues to walk down the street
One man gets jumped by another man and they fight and
come across the path of (Girl 1) so she has to step back.
There is an exchange of dialogue between the men: “You
thought you could get away did you?”
(Girl 1) gasps and continues walking down the street
looking worried and afraid
(Girl 1) walks to the end of road into a woodland and
stops as she realises she is lost
A hand comes from behind over her mouth before the
screen goes black.
There is then a shot of (Girl 1)’s feet elevated off the
ground like she has be hanged.
The screen fades black once more and the ‘Hanging Hill
Lane’ title comes on the screen.
Screen fades from black to tracking shot of girl 1’s
footsteps then a head-on medium shot of girl that reveals
vulnerability and facial expression. Non diegetic ST on.
Low angle medium shot of the two boys with a close up of
their hands and the package. Low key lighting.
Over the shoulder shot off girl 1 walking. Camera pans
round corner (from girl 1’s POV) to see the argument side
on.
Camera comes back to close up shot of girls facial
expression as she looks away and keeps walking. From Girl
1’s POV she sees the two men come out from the side and
then there is a side on eye level shot as she steps back and
gasps.
Camera continues to track Girl 1’s walking down the street.
There is a high angle close up shot as she looks up at the
woodland ahead. The camera is then positioned behind at
a high angle as she starts to walk into the woodland. The
lighting changes from high key to low key.
High angle shot of Girl 1 stood in forest as if lost. Cuts to
eye line match of girl 1’s face as the hand comes over. Then
a low angle low key lighting shot from behind as you see
the girls feet.
2. Additional Notes (for group purpose):
• The events that unfold while the girl walks
down the lane are in slow motion with the
dialogue being added in over the top with
some kind of sound effect like an echo for
dramatic effect. This is because the soundtrack
will make up most of the sound and the
dialogue should be quick and punchy.
• The idea is that it should be as if the girl isn’t
actually there and the events are just unfolding
in font of her.
• All of the clips of the events that happen
should be fairly fast paced while the shots of
the girl walking should start off slow and get
quicker as the soundtrack builds up.
