1. Ride Share Management System
INTRODUCTION
The newbreedof vehicle, AutoTaxi isusheringinapositive change inthe city’spublictransport
system. Theyare saferand comfortable thanthree-wheelerautos.Unlikeautoswhichare permitted
to plywithin alimitedarea,these vehiclescanoperate anywhereinthe State.Once people shiftto
such share vehicles,there wouldbe areductioninnumberof private vehiclesthattake tocongested
cityroads. Theycan evenoperate asshare taxisalongrouteswhich are not linkedbybusesand
areas whichhave inadequatepublictransportationmodes. Theycharge alowerfare despite being
permittedtocharge taxi fare.
The main crisisAutotaxisface in Keralaisparkingproblem. Autorickshaw driversin Keralaare
unwillingtopermitautotaxisenteringtheirstands.Inseveral partsof the state,whenautotaxis
enteredautostands, autorickshaw driversblockedall autotaxisandeventriedtoattackthe drivers.
There isno platformthatallowsyourtravellertobooktaxis.If providedaplatformtoconnectto
customers,theymightevencornerashare of the taxi car business
Our projectRideshare ManagementSystemisanattempttosolve thisissue byprovidingaplatform
for travellersand Autotaxis toconnect. Itis an online systemthroughwhichcustomerscanview
available cabs;registerthe cabs,viewprofile andbookcabs.Here the travellercanbooka cab/ taxi/
car byviewingall the cabdetailsandpricingdetailsavailable,accordingtoselectedcityand area.
Modules & Module Descriptions
The project“Ride Share ManagementSystem”mainlyhelpstoBookautotaxi.Thisprojectishaving
six modules.
1. Passenger
Firstmodule includesaloginpage,fromthispage the registeredusercanlogintoSite When
theyloginwithusername andpasswordtheyare redirectedtotheirhome page.Fromtheir
home page theycan do the followingtasks.
a. Can choose fromdifferentAutotaxi services
b. SuggestedRoute,Estimatedtime totravel withfare.
c. Can confirmand booka ride afterconfirmationcall fromdriver
d. Can bookfuture rides
e.Taxi reachtime withdriverdetails
f.Create and editprofile
g. Checkpast rides& setupcomingrides
2. Administration& Rules
The secondmodule dealswiththe Admin.The admincancontrol entire application.The
adminlogsinwithhisusername andpassword.Andmanage the taxi,driver,payments,
passengersetc.
3. Driver
The third module dealswiththe driver’sinformation.A drivercanloginusinghisusername

2. and passwordif he /she are an alreadyexistingdriver.Whenhe/she loginthentheyenters
into a page that includeslistof passengersthathe hasto take on drive thatparticularday.
Alsohe can update or enterthe travel time andtariff of passengers
4. Payment
Thismodule handlespayments,balancechecking,faircalculationsandcoupondetailsetc.
5. Report Generation
Thismodule isresponsible forreportgeneration.The reportsare generatedasPDFfilesfor
the future reference.
