Role:
Heading all corporate procurement activity of the company
Responsible for reporting to the Country Manger (Oman) for managing all aspects of purchase for all Oman
Operations and CFO & CEO for managing all aspects of purchase for all other operations other than Oman
Shouldering the responsibility of:
o Assuring that purchase orders are processed with respect to technical requirements and in line with
company policies, standards, procedures & defined processes
o Selecting suppliers/vendors in line with Supply Management Strategies
Extending support to Operations Team with timely resolution for closely monitoring and following-up on the
requirements of the requisition and closely monitored the inventory levels
Formulating & implementing supply management strategies and assuring that common standards,
procedures & processes are followed and best practices are utilized
Conducting root cause analysis to check the pilferages, thefts, corruption, getting non-conformance
products & services, ineffective processes & procedures; taking preventive measures, monitoring
arrangements & awareness among the staff were introduced in order to check the pilferages & loss
prevention
Accomplishments:
Efficiently managed Item Master of the ERP System (Makess) across the Dalma Management; handled up-
gradation of ERP system in order to have more features on smooth functioning & control of system and
implemented individual rig inventory set-up on 22 rigs through ERP system
Efficiently managed procurement activity of:
o 5 land drilling rigs (1000HP) & its accessories with total purchases of more than US$ 120 million (2014-
2015); including better negotiation on the prices & on long period credit terms
o 4 land drilling rigs and its accessories with the total purchases of more than US$ 120 million (2013-2014)
including better negotiation on the prices and on long period Credit terms
o 6 Drilling Rigs in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
o 14 Drilling Rigs (Muscat) and overseas procurement of 2 Drilling Rigs in Algeria
Steered efforts in:
o Implementing various procurement procedures like vendor management - vendor selection, vendor
assessment, root cause analysis, dealing of non-conformance of material/services which was a key for
ISO certification & BP global audits done on the company
o Taking cost saving initiatives for utilizing present stock involving in right vendors and minimizing use of
supply houses, identifying dead stock for 5 years or more and transferring of stock between assets
Played a key role in maintaining & updating QA/QC Plan of Dalma Energy & Co LLC pertaining to procurement
& inventory management in order to organise, plan & implement QA/QC techniques which will focus on
processing, handling, documenting & reporting procedures
Efficaciously:
o Mobilized & commissioned 8 drilling rigs in Oman with the total purchase of more than US$ 55 million
(2010-2011)
o Initiated assessment of vendor performance in order to improve the better relationship between
management & supplier in order to work as a business unit profiting both ends
Actively involved in delivering training to the purchasers for supply of all the requirements for running rigs
without interrupting the operations due to shortage of spares
Holds the distinction of receiving special bonus for successful commissioning of:
o 5 x 1000 HP Rigs in Oman within time and budget in 2015
o 3 x 1500 HP Rigs in KSA within time and budget in 2014
o 1 x 2000 HP Rigs in Oman within time and budget in 2014
Merit of being sent to Houston, USA in 2011 for attending OTC (Offshore Technology Conferences)
