• Supported the Engineering Manager to manage the engineering department responsible for equipment maintenance,
building repair, plant facilities, equipment modification and improvements, gauges calibration, tooling control, testing
and inspection of cranes and lifting equipment and other related tasks in both can production and plastic
manufacturing facilities
Key Accomplishments:
• Project managed the STOP / STEP project, involving 200 employees in the organization wide implementation of the
DuPont STOP safety system. I developed the training material, established a zoning system, created a database for
all trained employees to log their observations and developed a software system that generates summary tables and
graphs from the data logged
• Significantly improved the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the tooling department responsible for inventory
valued in excess of $2m, by upskilling the team, standardizing the tool-room SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures)
and initiating the development and implementation of Tool Management software to improve tooling usage, record
keeping and eliminate machine downtime
Plant Engineer (1995 – 2000)
