1. Question 3 - How did you use media
technologies in the construction and
research, planning and evaluating stages.
Petya, Group 7
2. How I've used pieces of technology:
I’ve used the following websites to present my findings about
the construction, research, planning and evaluation stages of my
Media coursework.
Research and planning after
audience feedback (Emaze)
Researching into previously
created digipaks
(SliedeShare)
Research into similar
artists’ products (Visme)
3. Researching into similar artists’
digipaks:
Thinglink is a very useful
way to analyze something
and then present it in a
simple way, in my case a
digipak analysis. It allows
you to mark any place on
the image and then add a
description, without looking
over packed with
information.
Researching into what my audience
likes and prefers:
One way for us to get audience
feedback and to find what they
prefer was through the use of a
survey on Survey Monkey. The
website allowed me to add my
question and to choose what way
I'd like it to be answered - drop
menu, multiple choices and
others. After sharing it with
people and getting their
responses, I could then compare it
and make my final choices about
my products.
4. Sharing the things I’ve planned for
my digipak. (Prezi)
Updating the production schedule
we’ve planned for our filming of
the video. (TimeToast)
5. Planning and sharing my ideas through
the following technology:
I used Pinterest to create the moodboard for my ancillary
texts. I've used variety of tags, which were the ideas for
my products and then I added the images I like or images
which illustrated my idea. It was really useful as it
created my ideas more visually, instead of me explaining
them.
I also used Slidely with the same purpose - to share
images and limited amount of text.
I found a really good website to use for sharing loads of
images, called Cincopa. However, a month after I've
created the presentations I found that my account has
been suspended and so the work I did on it was gone.
7. Social Media accounts
We decided to create an Instagram and a Twitter profile, because
they are the 2 most commonly used social media websites. We
used it to keep our teacher and audience updated with our filming
and editing process, as well as to get feedback on some of our
decisions.
8. Construction of the music video
and ancillary products:
Music video:
We used a JVC camera to film our
music video, along with a various
of equipment tools such as a fig
rig and a tripod. We also used
memory cards and a video drive to
save the work we’ve done.
Ancillary products:
We used a DLSR camera to
take the shots of the artist for
the digipak and magazine
advert.
