2. Charmed Records
• The record label is called 'CHARMED RECORDS', the
reasoning behind the name is that it suits the indie
genre quite well, and therefore might attract the niche
audience that is being targeted, making the record
label more successful.
3. Font
• The font is in capital letters and written clearly,
ensuring that the audience is able to see the
name of the company. I made sure that the
letters were spaced out and not joint so that
there was no chance of the name of the
company being read incorrectly. Also, the font
goes well and looks appropriate with the
design, making it more aesthetically pleasing
and memorable.
4. Meanings
• The design is a symbol meaning 'prosperity'. I liked
the idea of using this symbol for the logo as it
suggests that Charmed Records is a successful
brand. Also, the word 'prosperity' has
connotations of peace that link in well with the
indie genre, as indie music is usually rather
calming. Another thing that I liked about the
prosperity symbol is that is in the shape of
something that is constantly growing, a tree,
suggesting that the artists signed to the label and
music produced by them is also something that is
going to be constantly growing.
5. Colour Scheme
• The colour scheme is very simple, black and
white. I decided to do this because, in my
research of record labels, I discovered most of
them used the same colours, which suggests
that it is successful for them. Also, the black
symbol and font contrasts against the white
background, making it more eye-catching and
memorable to the audience.
