2. BLOGGER
This site is what has enabled me to create a blog and demonstrate
my work. It has allowed me to create an effective, neat and
organised coursework folder for people to view my work on.
Blogger has really benefitted me in many aspects of my
coursework, as it is easy to navigate which makes it easier to
produce better work.
One aspect of logger that has made my coursework easy to
organise is the different post options. Blogger allows you to be able
to put your blog posts in chronological order and you are able to
title them. As well as that, you are able to edit a post if you wanted
to add anything to it or change anything.
The image below is a screenshot of blogger, showing the posts.
This part of the post
displays the date. It can
be edited to organise
your posts into
chronological order.

3. ... BLOGGER
Blogger was of key importance to me
throughout the whole of my media
coursework. This is due to the fact that it is
the technology that has allowed me to
document all of my research, planning,
construction and evaluation stages.
This is a print screen shot of how you can edit posts on blogger. It shows you how
you can edit your post to your specific liking. As well as that, you can embed videos,
change the colour and font of your texts, embed images etc.
The main reason I enjoy
using logger so much is
because it’s extremely easy to
navigate and demonstrates
your work really effectively.
This is how the blog is laid out on Blogger. The posts are in
chronological order of what time and date they are posted.
This is effective as it allows you to organise your work.
4. MY CAMERA -
Nikon 3200 DSLR
The main technological equipment we used to produce our
footage was the Nikon 3200 DSLR. We filmed the whole
music video with this camera. We had the option of using the
school camcorder’s, and although these produce a good
enough picture – the lens was so much better on the Nikon.
The Lens
The large external lens meant that we were able to
zoom and focus manually, which allowed me to be
able to accurately frame and focus shots to the best
effect. The camera films in full 1080p HD, this mean
the footage we got looks really good and in a sense,
more professional. Overall, by using this camera, we
got a completely better picture.
Using this camera was an upgrade in comparison to last
year. I used the school camcorder, which is a Sony HDR
CX115e. Although this piece of equipment is
manageable, the Nixon 3200 DSLR was a step up for me
in terms of my use of technology. I really enjoyed using a
better camera as it made the whole filming experience a
lot easier and much more fun using a newer camera.
5. COREL VIDEOSTUDIO PRO X7
Corel VideoStudio Pro X7 was the perfect editing software for
my music video. It allowed me to edit my entire film and put
certain effects on it to make it look like a professional music
video. It is really easy to navigate, making editing time really
manageable and as effective as possible.
Features
Full 64-bit performance
Multi-trim
FastFlick easy-editing mode
My favourite feature of Corel VideoStudio Pro X7 is the multi-
trim tool. I have previously used editing software’s in which I
cannot get the editing as perfect as I want it. However, this
multi-trim tool allows me to get the editing perfect. I believe that
the strongest part of my production is the editing – because I
have got the lip syncing perfect and the instruments match the
music.

6. VIMEO
Another website that was really useful for
me was Vimeo. Every video on my blog has
been embedded from Vimeo. The main
reason I chose Vimeo was because it was
the easiest and most effective way of
inputting videos on my blog.
The best aspect of Vimeo is probably the
embed code for each video. This is because
you are able to instantly put a video from
Vimeo onto your blog straight away.Downfalls of Vimeo
Overall, Vimeo is really useful. However, there are a couple downfalls to this website. The first problem
with this website is that it took a certain amount of time to actually upload your video to Vimeo. Although
it would notify you by email when it’s ready, this is a bit of a nuisance because it wasn’t instant, meaning
you would have to wait a period of time to put them on your blog. This wasn’t a huge fall back for Vimeo,
it just means you had to plan your work ahead.
Another aspect of Vimeo that could have hindered my work, was the fact that as a free user, I was only
entitled to 500MB of footage a week. Luckily, this was okay for me. However, if I was to do a lot more
video based work, this would have been a huge fall back for me.
7. One of the technologies I have used consistently throughout my whole
construction, research, planning and evaluation stages, has been
Powerpoint. I found it so much easier to input my blog work through
powerpoint
For example, to make my blog look neater – I would type up my blog
posts on different slides in
Powerpoint. After that was complete, I would save my Powerpoint
slides as JPEG images and then input them on my blog.
This worked a lot better for me because it
was a lot neater and kept my blog looking
tidy.
This screenshot shows that you can
use lots of different slides.

layout of PowerPoint.

8. PREZI
I have used Prezi consistently throughout my use of blog
work. It is a new technology that presents your work in a
modern and effective way. It is easy to navigate which is
good for people who want to view my blog.
The main benefit of using Prezi is that you
are able to embed Prezi’s to your blog. For
example, there is an embed code on each
Prezi that you can copy and paste into your
blog post.
This is the tool bar that is displayed below every Prezi. Pressing
the ‘embed’ button will result in a code coming up that you can
copy and paste onto blogger. The prezi will then appear on your
blog.
Another useful aspect of
Prezi is that you are able to
use different templates to
help you with your
presentation, and to fit the
genre of your work.
9. PHOTOSHOP
Photoshop has been most useful for me during the
making of my ancillary tasks.
I had to make the artwork for a CD and also a music
poster. Without photoshop, I would not have been able
to produce such effective pieces of work.
What are my favourite features of Photoshop?
- Cropping
- Layering and layer styles
- ACR (Adobe Camera Raw)
- Document navigation

10. These different technologies are just examples of many different programmes I
have used to create my work. Before my coursework, I barely knew how to
navigate all of these programmes. By using them frequently for my blog work,
I have learnt a wider knowledge about how to use media technologies.
The reason I used so many different programmes to blog my work was
because I wanted to show that I am capable of using multiple technologies
whilst producing media coursework, and not just repeating the same use of one
programme.
My favourite programme to use would probably be Prezi. It makes producing
work enjoyable. Not only is it fun, but it is also really easy to use. The more I
have used Prezi, the better my presentations have looked.
The technology I believe I have progressed in using would be the type of
camera I have used to film my practical work. The Nikon 3200 DSLR was
hugely more advanced as a camera than what I had used before. Although it
was a challenge at first, the end product of the music video proved that using
this camera was beneficial for me.
