1. Question 6-
What have you learnt about
technologies from the process of
constructing this product?

2. Photoshop
Photoshop was the main programme I used when creating my different
media products such as my music magazine cover and also to edit
pictures e.g brighten them or crop out the background.
Over time my skills have developed in that previously I found it difficult
to cut out the background in pictures, however now I’ve learnt how to
use anchor points to select around a photo to cut out a person out of a
background more effectively.
3. Blogger
I used blogger to upload my work and to inform others of my progress
in the lesson. I’ve learnt how to upload pictures, videos and upload
presentations that are on programmes such as Prezi by embedding it.
It’s become easier for me to upload my work overtime as I uploaded
each piece of work
4. Photography
To ensure my photos had a professional look I used the Nikon D-7000
(DSLR) camera in the studio to take my pictures. I had an induction on
how to use camera which included about how to change the lighting to
create different effects. I also learned about the different shots that
could be taken what effect it could have on the audience.
5. Spider scribe
• I used this to present my magazine proposal and I found it was it was
good as I was able to set out my proposal in a mind map layout
therefore I was able to link images to what I was saying to make my
proposal more visual.
6. Illustrator
• I used this to create the masthead for my magazine after I was
provided with an induction on the programme. I found it difficult to
find my way around the programme but I was eventually able to
create a shaded effect around the edge to attract the audience’s
attention.
7. InDesign
I used this to create my contents page and dps as it is required by the
examiner. Although this is similar to Photoshop I found it more difficult
to use. I learned that when dragging and dropping the images you had
to ensure it remained within the blue box otherwise it would disappear.
Also to resize the image you have to hold shift to resize it properly or it
will be resized freehandedly. After overcoming I found the rest of
InDesign fairly straightforward to use to create my CP and DPS
