2. Taking Photographs:
For taking photographs I used my digital camera, the
megapixels were 8.0 which were good enough
standard for my magazine. The advantages of this
camera was that it was light and easy to move round in
different positions to take my photographs for my
magazine, although a disadvantage would be it was not
the best quality camera I believe it produced good
standard photographs.

3. Editing photos and construction of
magazine:
For my magazines and editing photographs I used a advanced
programme called ‘Photoshop CS4’ which had many tools and
features which allowed me to edit every detail of my photographs
some of the tools included ‘Spot Healing’ and ‘Magnetic tool’ these
tools allowed me to ensure that my model for the magazine was
perfect and flawless in the photo like usual models for magazines.
Although this programme was completely new to me I found it quite
easy to learnt the different tools and techniques by using practice on
random Google images before actually editing my actual music
magazine photos. I used this programme in both my Front cover and
my contents page.

4. Creating my Double Page Spread:
For my double page spread I used a programme called ‘InDesign’
created by Adobe. The advantage of this programme was that it
allowed me to set my page into columns and use various tools such as
the ‘drop caps’ tool which allowed me to make a letter capitals without
affecting the position of the rest of the text. However one
disadvantage I found was that the programme did not have layers in
which you could go back and delete a part of the design without
affecting the rest of it. This programme was slightly harder to
understand, but was learnt with practice.

5. Presenting research and planning:
For my research and planning I used various websites
such as bubbl.us to create a spider diagram to gather
up ideas and thoughts in which I could put into my
music magazine. I found this website particularly very
useful as it was simple and easy and not time
consuming. There was only advantages to this website
and made it very easier for me to choose what to
include in my project.

6. Creating and Presenting my Magazine:
To create my whole project I used an iMac computer which I found was
the most efficient computer to work on as it was quicker than my mine at
home, however I did have to share out the work but I used to iMac to
complete my final products and used my laptop for blogger.
To present my work I had to use a programme run by Google called
‘Blogger’ I found this programme very easy and simple to use and it
presents my work well. A great advantage to this programme is you can
design your blogger to the way it suits you not by only presenting your
work but by also showing a bit of your personality through the design
and layout and even adding small gadgets.
The Labels are a particularly good feature as it enables to categorize your
posts and makes it easier to find and view them.
