SHORT, ONE LETTER – identify the length of the title and the connotation of the word(s) CIRCULAR, CURVED, WHITE – describe the font and analyse the connotations A ROCK BAND JUMPING, SMASHED GLASS, DETERMINED EXPRESSIONS – describe the image and break down what each feature suggests – is their one main image or a number of small ones? NAMES THE CELEBRITIES, ANCHORS THE TITLE WITH THE IMAGE – identify any language techniques and analyse. Consider how many articles are referenced on the front page. TITLE AT THE TOP, IMAGE TO SUPPORT THE MAIN TITLE IN THE MIDDLE, ARTICLES AROUND THE OUTSIDE, OVERLAPPING THE IMAGE – think practically about the layout . Is there any wasted space?
