Make plenty of notes first – use the grid youare given. A copy is provided on the last slide,so you can print off more, as you need them.Things to consider:•Characters and how they have beenrepresented – costume, body language, props,facial expression, associated colours,cinematography, lighting etc.•Setting – what can you see? How has it beenshot? What is the dominant colour palette?Lighting?•Words/ slogans/ title – how do these helpanchor the image? What words effect this andwhat connotations do they build up? Whatabout the style of font used?•Anything else noteworthy…Aim to describe what you can see in as muchdetail as possible first of all, using the correctterminology where this is required.
