This document summarizes several passages from the Quranic surah Muhammad. It discusses those who deny Allah and try to mislead others from his path having their deeds made vain. It describes how believers who do good will be forgiven and rewarded with heaven. It commands fighting against non-believers until they surrender, but to release them without ransom after victory. It promises those who believe and do good will be guided by Allah and enter paradise, while non-believers will suffer in the fire. It discusses obeying Allah and his messenger and not wasting one's deeds, as non-believers who die denying Allah will not be forgiven.

SURAH MUHAMMAD
MEDINAN PERIOD
Division: 580
1Those who deny and avert people from the path of Allah; Allah has made their
affairs vain.
2And as for those who believe, do good deeds and believe in that which has
been revealed by their Rabb [Lord, the Cherisher, the Nurturer, the Sustainer] to
Muhammad as a truth; Allah has forgiven their evil deeds and amended their
condition.
3Allah did so because the infidels; those who consciously deny/disbelieve the
Divinity of Allah and the fact that He is Rabb [Lord, the Cherisher, the Nurturer, the
Sustainer] do follow superstition and the believers do follow the Truth coming from
their Rabb [Lord, the Cherisher, the Nurturer, the Sustainer]. Thus gives Allah to the
people their examples.
(95/47; Muhammad/1-3)

4-6When you meet-fight with those who consciously deny the Divinity of Allah
and the fact that He is Rabb [Lord, the Cherisher, the Nurturer, the Sustainer], smite
their necks…/fight to death. And when you prevail over them, tie them tightly/make
strong decisions. And when the war; destruction lays down its burden and war is
over, release them free without ransom or against compensation. Thus, had Allah
wished so He would have punished them and maintained justice. But this is so to test
you with each other. And as for those who are killed/take lives/fight for the cause of
Allah; Allah will not let their deeds go in vain. Allah will guide them, amend their
conditions and admit them in Jannah [Heaven/Paradise] which He has introduced
them.
(95/47; Muhammad/4-6)
Division: 582
7O you who have believed! Should you help Allah, He will help you back and
set your feet tight on the ground. 8As for those who deny, destruction will be upon
them’ and Allah will make their affairs go in vain. 9This surely is because they
dislike that which Allah has revealed. And Allah will make their deeds go in vain.
2. 2
10Have they not travelled across the Earth? So they might see how the end of
those before them was. Allah destroyed them. And a similar punishment will be for
these infidels; those who deny the Divinity of Allah and the fact that He is Rabb
[Lord, the Cherisher, the Nurturer, the Sustainer].
13And We manipulated/destroyed many cities, which were more exalted than
you in power. There were no helpers for them.
12Surely, Allah will admit those who believe and do good deeds into the
gardens of Jannah [Heaven/Paradise] underneath which rivers flow. As for those who
deny; enjoy their earnings and consume them as the grazing beasts eat, and the Fire
will be their settlement.
11Reason of the happiness of the believers and the miserable condition of the
infidels is the fact that Allah helps, guides and protects those who believe and there
are no helpers, guides and protectors for the infidels; those who consciously deny the
Divinity of Allah and the fact that He is Rabb [Lord, the Cherisher, the Nurturer, the
Sustainer].380

14,15So the one who is upon a manifest evidence from his Rabb [Lord, the
Cherisher, the Nurturer, the Sustainer] is like those whose evil affairs made alluring
to them and who follow their vain-transitory desires; like those who shall abide in the
Fire eternally and who shall be made to drink boiling waters, bursting their guts?
Example of Jannah [Heaven/Paradise] that is promised to those who surrender
themselves under the guardianship of Allah: “There will be rivers of unspoiled
waters, rivers of unspoiled milk, rivers of tasty wine and filtered honey. For them
will be there all kinds of fruits and mercy from their Rabb [Lord, the Cherisher, the
Nurturer, the Sustainer].
(95/47; Muhammad/14-15)
Division: 584
16Among them are those who heed you. So that when they leave you they said
to those who inform them: “What he has just said?”. They are the ones whose hearts
Allah has sealed and those who follow their vain and transitory desires.
17And as for those who follow the righteous path they are guided; Allah has
increased His guidance and let them surrender under His guardianship.
3. 3
18Do they expect other than that the moment of Qiyamat [Resurrection] should
come upon them suddenly? Surely, evidence of that Qiyamat [Resurrection] has
come. And what good is that they get the admonition when it comes to them!
19Then, know that there surely is no god but Allah! Ask for forgiveness for
yourself, for the believing men and the believing women. And Allah knows where
you travel and where you settle.
(95/47; Muhammad/16-19)

20,21Those who believe say: “If only a Surah was sent down”. But when a Surah
that contains laws is sent down and it mentions about a war, you see that those ill-
hearted; ill-minded people look at you like a man who is fainted due to fear of death.
Then, obedience and a word that is compliant with the tradition/acceptable for all is
closer to them. And if they were loyal to Allah when the matter has been concluded,
it would surely have been better for them.
22Or, would you make mischief on the Earth and shatter blood ties among you
if you had the authority to rule?
23They are the ones whom Allah has cursed, blinded their eyes and deafened.
24So, do they not think about the Qur’an? or their hearts are sealed?
25Surely, as for those who have returned to blasphemy; conscious denial of the
Divinity of Allah and the fact that He is Rabb [Lord, the Cherisher, the Nurturer, the
Sustainer] after the righteous path was manifest upon them; Satan has made it
alluring to their eyes and cast them upon prolonged hopes.
26This is because they said to those who disliked that which Allah had sent
down: “We will obey you on certain matters”. But Allah knows what they hide.
27Then how will it be while forces in charge hitting them in their faces and
backs, reminding them that which they did in the past and that which they failed to
do while being obliged to?
28This is because they followed that which called forth the wrath of Allah and
disliked His approval. Allah has made their deeds vain.
29Or, have those ill-hearted; ill-minded ones thought that Allah would never
disclose their hatred?
4. 4
30Had We wished so, We would certainly have shown them. Then you would
recognize them by their mark. You can recognize them by their speech anyway.
Allah knows all your affairs.
31And surely, We will surely wear away/test you so We may declare/mark and
show those among you who make their best efforts and have patience. And We will
wear away/test your affairs as well.
32Surely, as for those who disbelieve the Divinity of Allah and the fact that He
is Rabb [Lord, the Cherisher, the Nurturer, the Sustainer], avert people from the path
of Allah and refuse the Messenger after the righteous path has clearly been shown to
them; they cannot harm Allah by any means. And Allah will make their deeds
wasted.
(95/47; Muhammad/20-32)
Division: 586
33O you who have believed! Obey Allah, obey the Messenger and do not waste
your deeds.
34Surely, those who die as blasphemers; as people who consciously
deny/disbelieve the Divinity of Allah and the fact that He is Rabb [Lord, the
Cherisher, the Nurturer, the Sustainer], who avert people from the path of Allah and
then blaspheme; consciously deny the Divinity of Allah and the fact that He is Rabb
[Lord, the Cherisher, the Nurturer, the Sustainer]; Allah will never favor/forgive
them.
35Therefore, do not slacken and do not ask for peace while you are the
prevailing party. Allah is with you. And Allah will not let your deeds get lost.
36Surely, this simple worldly life is just fun and games. Should you believe and
surrender under the guardianship of Allah, Allah will reward you and will not
demand from you your wealth.
37Had Allah intended to demand from you your wealth and forced you for that,
you would be reluctant to do it. And He would have exposed your hatred.
38So, you are the ones who have been invited to spend for the cause of Allah.
Despite this some of you are stingy. And whoever is stingy withholds from his own
soul. And Allah is rich and you are the poor. If you turn away, Allah will replace you
with another people. And they will not be like you.
(95/47; Muhammad/33-38)
