What does “Islam” mean?
The word الإسلام [Islam] is an infinitive word derived from س ل م [silm] root in if‘al pattern and used as noun and infinitive. The word silm means “release/keeping away; and to be distant from fear, doubt, trouble, lack of peace, unhappiness, fight, war, pain, suffering, material and spiritual inconveniences, weakness and decaying, and all the negativities.” This word is also the root of salim, selam, teslim, Islam etc. The word’s “Islam” form means “strengthening” [removal from problems, worries, fear, unhappiness, fights, wars, and similar negative things]. Hence, the religion Islam means the “the religion that strengthens humans [entire range of principles that protects and secures people by putting a distance between them and problems, worries, war, weakness, spiritual illness, unhappiness, and similar things].”

2Revelation of this Scripture upon which there is no doubt whatsoever is from
Rabb [Lord, the Cherisher, the Nurturer, the Sustainer] of all universes.
3Or they say: “He has fabricated it”? Quite contrary, the Qur’an is the Truth
itself which has been sent down upon you by your Rabb [Lord, the Cherisher, the
Nurturer, the Sustainer] so you may warn the people upon whom no warner has come
before you, and they may follow the righteous path they are being guided.

4Allah is the Creator of the Heavens and the Earth and all that is in between in
six steps and He then established His dominion upon the Greatest Throne.309 None of
His subordinates can be helpers, protector or intercessor for you. Will you still not
reason and take lesson?
5Allah arranges systems from the Heavens to the Earth and then the systems
will ascend to Allah in a day which corresponds to thousand years in your account; it
will return, the system will collapse.
6Allah is the Most Knowing of the perceivable and unperceivable, the past and
the future; He is the Most Exalted, the Almighty, the Most Honorable, the
Invincible/the Subduer, the Possessor of a Vast Mercy.
7He is the One Who creates all His creations in the best and most beautiful way
and Who created man from a clay. 8Then He created his descendants from semen, a
simple liquid. 9Then He formed and shaped and informed him.310 And He created
ears, eyes and hearts for you. Yet how ungrateful you are for the blessings you have
been given!
(75/32; Al-Sajdah/4-9)
10And they said: “Shall we really be created again with a new creation after we
perish in the earth?”. They are the ones who do not expect to meet their Rabb [Lord,
the Cherisher, the Nurturer, the Sustainer] and consciously deny the Divinity of
Allah and the fact that He is Rabb [Lord, the Cherisher, the Nurturer, the Sustainer].

11Say: “The force in charge to take your lives will take your lives311; he will
remind you what you did in the past and what you failed to do while being obliged
to, then you shall be returned to your Rabb [Lord, the Cherisher, the Nurturer, the
Sustainer]”.
12If you could see the sinners before their Rabb [Lord, the Cherisher, the
Nurturer, the Sustainer] with their heads bent over, saying: “O our Rabb [Lord, the
Cherisher, the Nurturer, the Sustainer]! We have seen and listened, now send us back
so we may do good deeds, we surely are believers now”!
13Had We wished so, We would have guided everyone to the righteous path.
Yet I have given the promise: “I will surely fill Jahannah [Hell] with people from the
known and the unknown, from the past and the future312”.
“14Then, taste the punishment for you forgot/denied meeting this day! Surely,
We have punished you. And taste the wrath of eternity for what you did!”.

15Only those who surrender and prostrate when being recited the Admonition
and those who exonerate their Rabb [Lord, the Cherisher, the Nurturer, the Sustainer]
from all deficiencies and who do not act arrogantly do believe in Our Ayat.
16Their flanks get away from where they lie down; they do not enjoy lying in
their beds, but pray to their Rabb [Lord, the Cherisher, the Nurturer, the Sustainer] in
fear and hope and spend the blessing We have given them in the cause of
Allah/provide sustenance for others, particularly their relatives.

17And no soul knows about the hidden good tidings which will be given for
good deeds he does!
18Then, is a believer like a transgressor? They cannot be equal.
19And as for those who believe and do good deeds; the gardens of Eden will be
for them as a hospitality for their good deeds.
20,21And as for the transgressors; their final destination will be the Fire. Every
time they try to escape, they shall be returned into it and they shall be told: “Taste the

wrath of the Fire you used to deny”. Without a doubt, We will soon make them taste
a portion of the great punishment so they may return.
22And who else can be more wrong/act against his own good that those who are
recited the Ayat of his Rabb [Lord, the Cherisher, the Nurturer, the Sustainer] yet
turns away from them? Surely, We maintain justice by seizing and punishing the
sinners.

23And surely, We gave Moses the Scripture. –Then, be not in doubt to meet it.-
And We made it a guide for Israelites.
24And when they had patience, We made some from among them leaders who
guided others upon Our command. And they believed in Our Ayat/evidence with
certainty.
25Surely, on the Day of Qiyamat [Resurrection], your Rabb [Lord, the
Cherisher, the Nurturer, the Sustainer]; Allah will judge among them about which
they conflict.
(75/32; Al-Sajdah/23-25)
Division: 353
26Have it not been a guide for them that We manipulated/destroyed many
generations before them across whose lands they travel? Surely, there are many
evidence/signs in this. Will they still not heed?
27Or, have they not seen that We have brought water upon a barren land,
growing crops there upon which they and their beasts feed? Do they not see?
28And they say: “If you are righteous, when will come the judgment?”.
29Say: “As for the infidels; those who consciously deny the Divinity of Allah
and the fact that He is Rabb [Lord, the Cherisher, the Nurturer, the Sustainer], on that
day, their faith will not avail them and they shall not be provided a respite”.
30Then stay away from them and observe. Surely, they also observe.
