2. Importance of Love to
Prophet(SAW)
Say, [O Muhammad], "If your fathers, your sons, your brothers, your
wives, your relatives, wealth which you have obtained, commerce
wherein you fear decline, and dwellings with which you are pleased are
more beloved to you than Allah and His Messenger and the struggle in
His cause, then wait until Allah executes His command. And Allah does
not guide the defiantly disobedient people[9:24] 2
3. Importance of Love to
Prophet(SAW)
And whoever obeys Allah and the Messenger - those will be with the
ones upon whom Allah has bestowed favor of the prophets, the steadfast
affirmers of truth, the martyrs and the righteous. And excellent are those
as companions.[4:69]
3
Say, [O Muhammad], "If you should love Allah , then follow me, [so]
Allah will love you and forgive you your sins. And Allah is Forgiving
and Merciful.“[3:31]
4. Importance of Love to
Prophet(SAW)
Narrated By 'Abdullah bin Hisham : We were with the Prophet and he was
holding the hand of 'Umar bin Al-Khattab. 'Umar said to Him, "O Allah's Apostle!
You are dearer to me than everything except my own self." The Prophet said,
"No, by Him in Whose Hand my soul is, (you will not have complete faith) till I
am dearer to you than your own self." Then 'Umar said to him, "However, now,
by Allah, you are dearer to me than my own self." The Prophet said, "Now, O
'Umar, (now you are a believer)
Narated By Anas : A man asked the Prophet about the Hour (i.e. Day of
Judgment) saying, "When will the Hour be?" The Prophet said, "What have you
prepared for it?" The man said, "Nothing, except that I love Allah and His
Apostle." The Prophet said, "You will be with those whom you love." We had
never been so glad as we were on hearing that saying of the Prophet (i.e., "You
will be with those whom you love.") Therefore, I love the Prophet, Abu Bakr and
'Umar, and I hope that I will be with them because of my love for them though
my deeds are not similar to theirs

6. Incident of Taif
To You, my Lord,
I complain of my weakness,
lack of support and the humiliation I
am made to receive.
Most Compassionate and Merciful!
You are the Lord of the weak,
and you are my Lord.
To whom do You leave me?
To a distant person who receives me
with hostility?
Or to an enemy You have given
power over me?
As long as you are not displeased
with me,
6
I do not care what I face.
I would, however,
be much happier with Your mercy.
I seek refuge in the light of Your face by which
all darkness is dispelled and both this life and the
life to come
are put in their right course against incurring
your wrath
or being the subject of your anger.
To You I submit,
until I earn Your pleasure.
Everything is powerless without your support.
