Example Of Rapunzel Alternate Ending
Rapunzel grew up pretty normal, as normal as as you could for being locked away from the outside
world. Never being allowed to step a foot outside, let alone being allowed to venture down to the
hospital mother Gothel worked at. All the young girl knew as the apartment she shared with Mother
Gothel. She familiarized herself rather quickly with the layout of the apartment when she got old
enough to be left alone. Learning every nook and cranny of the place, the only thing she couldn't
figure out was how to escape the locked door and make her way down to the hospital to see her
mother.
The older she grew the less time Gothel spent with her. Each time she left the apartment, she would
be gone longer and longer, only coming back when she need a bone marrow transplant. Something
the young blond hate more than anything in the world. You'd think that someone who grew up
getting them every month like clock work would have grown used to them, but no. She hated it and
would probably hate it for the rest of her life. The only reason she didn't put up a big fight about it
was because her mother needed the transplant to stay healthy. She didn't want to be ... Show more

Not once, but twice. "Today is my birthday." She nearly shouted at her mother. "It's my 18th
birthday, which means I can go outside." She spoke. Coming to a stop she began jumping up and
down in place. Rapunzels mother on the other hand was not so thrilled with the fact, a panicked look
appeared on her face but quickly vanished. "No, Rapunzel." Gothel's slender hand reached out,
grabbing hold of the bouncing girl to hold her still. "You can not leave, the world is far too
dangerous for a girl like yourself." Gothel spoke with a hiss, her fingers tightening around
Rapunzel's shoulders. "You are far to naive for this world." She tried her best to sound like a worried
mother. Which worked. Rapunzel uttered out a sigh, her head dropping to the

The Flavor And Crackling Of Frying Bacon
The aroma and crackling of frying bacon was coming from the kitchen, but Sean stayed where he
was. He glanced at his face in the mirror over the fireplace as if seeing it for the first time. Then he
looked at the rest of the room, over his reflection's shoulder; the two old armchairs, the long dining
table and the sideboard, upon which rested the big mahogany wireless.
Sean liked everything about that wireless. He liked its solid chunkiness, the big wooden dials and
the window with its red needle, which lit up when you turned the set on. He thought of the
programmes he listened to in the evening. There was 'Dick Barton, Special Agent'; "Come on,
Snowy, help me break down this door before the blighter gets away!" and there was 'Journey ...

When summer would come they cycled the five miles to Hainault Forest to pick blackberries. But
they would often come across little glades with no trees. They were intensely lit by the rays of the
summer sun, like small islands of happiness, not enough to make them too hot from the fullness of
sunlight, but enough to bathe his face and arms in their warmth. And just when it was getting too
hot, he could again dive into the pool of fresh, moist greens of the forest. Sean had always
appreciated nature, its perfection and knew that it was his guide. From young he observed that birds
would only live with other birds and the possums would only live with other possums.
"This is how it is meant to be" Sean thought to himself. This is real family, where everyone looks
similar and everyone has the same mum and dad.
His mother was always busy back in London, but she was on her way to take him back for a holiday.
Apparently she had just got married again and had written to say she wanted to take him home, back
with his real family. Sean continued to sit isolated by the warmth of the fireplace and worked on his
bridge construction kit. He was still struggling to understand the schematics however.
His parents had split up when he was seven, and he had been with the Keith and the Drayson family

Personal Narrative Essay: My Experience To Monkey Island
A few years back, on a sunny Sunday morning, I visited Palolem beach along with my cousins. The
moment we reached the beach, we could see a lovely deserted island popularly known as Monkey
Island (marked as Kankon Island on Google maps). We had a great time playing on the beach; it was
a very secluded & clean beach those days. The island alluringly beckoned to us and we decided to
take a closer look at it. We walked towards a rocky area as the villagers told us we could wade
across from there to Monkey Island in low tide. However, when we reached the rocks we found that
the water between us and the island was neck deep & the current was very strong. We decided not be
take a risk, dropped the idea of visiting the island and instead sat down on the rocks to enjoy the
view of the sea. It was a nice experience watching the sea, the waves, the rocks & the spray. After a
while we noticed that a little further ahead, an old man in rags was fishing using a homemade
fishing rod. He seemed to have had a bad day so far as there were only 3–4 small fishes lying in a
small plastic bag next to him. We felt sorry for him and hoped that he would catch a big fish soon.
After a few minutes, our prayers seemed to have been answered as he reeled in a big fish. We felt
happy thinking that he would be able to eat a good meal today. However, to our utter dismay after
removing the big fish ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Another cousin suggested that if he is unable to afford a new pan, he can cut the big fish into small
pieces before frying it!
This is not an article about fishing & frying pans, but about pursuing big dreams. Many times, like
the old man threw back the big fish which would not fit his tiny frying pan, we dismiss our big
dreams because we feel that they are too big to fit our existing mindsets & abilities. Let us apply the
two approaches suggested above in pursuing our big dreams.

Personal Statement : The Unlucky Runner
Unlucky Runner
"John McBernette, please stay after class," my english teacher ordered a few seconds before the bell.
Suspecting I had been caught yet once again pulling a prank on my friend, I cursed the day she was
born silently while sulking deeper into my seat. As I stood standing in front of her desk, awaiting her
almost daily lecture, I realized that my life was not hot and spicy like I always imagined it to be at
my present age. However, that was five years ago. Since that day I have been running, running from
the biggest known hitman agency. It all started when I got home that day after school. I walked up
the two flights of stairs into my empty apartment. An old, run–down, red bricked, twentieth century
building. I crumpled the parent–teacher note I usually got, and tossed it into the trash. With my luck
I probably missed, so I made my way back to the crumpled paper on the ground and put it into the
trash, once again hitting the edge of the trash can and falling down.
"Damn," I said casually to myself, "my luck is really off today."
I was beginning to crave an after school snack, deciding toast would be the best choice, as there
wasn't much that could go wrong while making toast. Unfortunately, the toast caught fire after being
in the toaster for a minute too long. I started to laugh, thinking I had jinxed myself into eternal
unluckiness. Pouring a cup of water over the small flames was not what I had intended to do, but it
had been an instinct. The flames were

From The Frying Pan Into The Fire Analysis
What is the most important thing for people in nowadays society? The most realistic answer
probably is money. Capitalism is the combination of efficiency and profit; the more money one
person can make shows the ability this person maintain. As the time goes by, capitalism is
competing with the family values as people show their love to families through the amount of
money they make, instead of the amount of time they spend with families. The issue of humans in
nowadays is paying more attention to profit and efficiency can be found in both Arlie Russel
Hochschild's "From the Frying Pan into the Fire," and Susan Blackmore's "Strange Creatures". In

In "Strange Creatures" Blackmore believes that imitations are "selfish" in both positive and negative
forms. The meme can replicate everything with positive or negative ideas; people use the unique
imitation abilities to pass the memes globally, which leads people around the world believe that
money is the most important thing for the family, and this is the negative side brings by imitation.
Blackmore describes memes as "selfish," and memes can exist in both positive and negative forms.
"Some meme are positively harmful–like chain letters and pyramid selling, new methods of fraud
and false doctrines, ineffective slimming diets and dangerous medical' cures'. Of course, the memes
do not care; they are selfish like genes and will simply spread if they can" (37). Memes and genes
are selfish; their purpose is acting like replicators and spread themselves. People in nowadays
believe that the more money they made, the more love they show to the family, as a result, lesser
people are spending time with families, which is the negative effect brings by imitation. The ability
to imitate makes humans believe that money and efficiency bring the family into a happy life.
However, with the understanding of capitalism, people will not accept anything they have heard that

Disadvantages Of Cast Iron Cookware
If, during a spring–cleaning spree, you come across an old cast iron griddle that belonged to your
mother or grandmother, please don't throw it away. As long as it has no cracks or nicks, you can
clean it, and the effort will be worthwhile. Trust us, cast iron is top–grade cookware material
because, not only does it heat evenly and consistently, cast iron is cheap and will last a lifetime with
proper care. We will look at the care aspect a little later, but first, why cast iron cookware? It is the
old–fashioned way to cook fat free. A well–seasoned cast iron pan is stick–resistant and requires no
additional oil. Food will slide out of it as easily as from a non–stick pan It goes from stove to oven
with equal ease. It does not warp It is incredibly easy to clean Its heat retention qualities allow for

This provides a smooth, nonstick surface on both the inside and outside. The best way to do this is
to lightly oil the inside of a pan with neutral cooking oil while the pan is still hot and on the burner.
Then, remove from the burner and lightly wipe the excess oil off the pan. If the cast iron cookware
is not seasoned properly or part of the seasoning wears off, it should be properly cleaned and re–
seasoned. It is best to clean cast iron cookware while it is still hot using warm water and soap, and
scraping when necessary. However, do not soak or leave soapy water in cast iron cookware. Rinse
thoroughly and dry well with a dishcloth. To make sure the cookware is completely dry, place it on
the heated burner of your stove for a minute or two. Store your cast iron cookware with the lids off,
especially in humid weather, because if covered, moisture can build up and cause the cookware to
rust. In any case, place a few paper towels inside a pan/skillet to make sure that any moisture will be
absorbed. Dryness is of paramount

The Bouquet Of Flowers And The Frying Pan
The Bouquet of Flowers and the Frying Pan
They are just simple inanimate objects, items, things, whatever we want to call them, but it is up to
us for those objects to become animate, giving them attention and importance in our lives and we
become dependent on those objects. In the introduction of the book Taking Things Seriously: 75
Objects with Unexpected Significance by Joshua Glenn and Carol Hayes, Glenn talks about how
different groups in our society criticize each other over commodity fetishes even though they are
guilty themselves. We are always looking for different objects to fill the emptiness of our lives and
give to them more importance should they really have. Glenn mentions "the success anthropologist
Lyall Watson describes any inanimate object which... demands attention and exercises power over
those people whom it appeals", like in the stories of Genesis Cabrera and Josh Ozersky making the
object vital in their lives. The stories have few similarities in some of the aspects, of provenance,
properties and essence. I think Cabrera's story will not make it to the second edition of the book
since her unexpected significant object doesn't covert the criteria what there are looking for in the
book even though there are some similarities, but I don't believe the essence is strong enough.

Pros And Cons Of A Wok
The quick frying action needed for a tasty, nicely flavored and simple stir–fry can be gotten from
using a wok. If you don't know what a wok pan is, a wok is a pan with a hemispherical shape that
allows for easy distribution of heat. A wok helps to preserve the taste of food and it essentially needs
only very little oil is needed.
Woks are quite beautiful pieces and have a lot of history as they are regarded as a pillar of Chinese
kitchens. Apart from the fact that Woks perform exceptionally well for boiling liquids, poaching,
braizing tough cuts of meat, smoking food, and deep–frying fried foods, one of its major hallmarks
is that it usually has a totally hot cooking surface. This is important for quick frying and inducing
flavor of the seasoned ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
With this Wok, the base and handle stay cool no matter how hot the wok gets when in use. It
features a reliable non–stick coating that heats up consistently and quickly. Its temperature control
and impressive 7–quart capacity make it one of the best electric woks on the market.
Pros:
Base and handles stay cool all the time
Temperature control is top notch
Sturdy and stable design
Cons:
Its base is not detachable
Maintaining your wok
It's always advisable to wash your wok with hot water and a sponge after use. Don't worry if the
wok is a bit oily after washing as this prevents it from rusting and even helps to season it. Make sure
to never use scouring powder to wash your wok. Whenever you notice your wok starts getting
sticky, cracked and beat about four eggs in the wok. The fat in the egg is a natural lubricant so make
sure to Twirl the beaten eggs and allow it to cover as much of the surface of the wok as possible.
Verdict
If you've followed this post from the beginning up until this point then you're one of the very few
that know essential things about the wok. With this post, we're sure you're equipped enough to get
your own wok today and enjoy the best stir–frying experience.

over steamed rice ("Japan"). This dish can also be served with different sauces such as tentsuyu,
which is the traditional dipping sauce for tempura. Tempura originated in the late sixteenth century
during the Feudal Age of Japan. It materialized when the Portuguese and Spanish introduced the

Japan, such as in many Japanese restaurants. Making this dish is simple and will be delicious when
completed. Before making tempura, one must gather the required ingredients. The necessary
ingredients are: one cup of plain flour, one egg, one cup of cold water, one teaspoon of baking soda,
and two tablespoons of potato starch. Vegetables, seafood, or mushrooms are also required as well
as oil, which can be natane, sunflower, corn, or canola oil. When cooking tempura, it is best to use

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Frying
Frying is one of the dehydration process. It is a process of heat transfer and mass transfer occur
simultaneously with the moisture out of food by water vapor, and the oil is absorbed into the food
simultaneously (Sun, 2014). Traditional frying is operated at atmospheric pressure which raw
material is dipped in hot oil. The oil will serve as an intermediary in the heat transfer lead to occur
the complex reactions between raw materials and oil. These processes result in high heat transfer
rates and lead to rapid develop of texture, flavor, and color. However, surface darkening, higher

Analysis Of ' From The Frying Pan Into The Fire '
What does the middle–class family look like in the twenty–first century? Probably both men and
women are working in order to make money to support families. Women's gender roles have
changed significantly within fifty years. Because of Capitalism, women now have more rights than
before, and some women now make more money than men. Capitalism combines the principle
efficiency and the aim for profit, which presents as the more money one person can make shows the
ability this person maintain. In "From the Frying Pan into the Fire," Hochschild introduces the idea
of capitalism, and capitalism is competing with the family values as people show their love to
families through the amount of money they make, instead of the amount of time they spend with
families. And the family structures have changed into both females and males are working. In "The
Taste for Civilization: Food, Polities, and Civil Society," Flammang describes many definitions for
the civil society, because it contains many different aspects. For example, civil society includes
honesty, politeness, and civility. However, one of the most significant changes of civil society
involves women's gender roles. Women's social statuses have changed, and women have become
more equal to men. Capitalism's value system restructures the traditional notions of the family,
which influences the family value in the civil society. Women's gender roles have partly changed in
modern society because of capitalism, but women are still

For the well–to–do, eating during the Elizabethan and Jacobean periods was a fancy affair. A king or
queen when going abroad could expect banquet tables filled with hundreds of dishes––for just one
meal! There was much pageantry and entertainment. At Leicester, Queen Elizabeth I (predecessor of
King James VI & I) was greeted with a pageant of welcome displayed on a temporary bridge. There
were cages of live birds––bitterns, curlews, hernshaws and godwits. One pillar held great silver

order of importance. Food was prepared in vast quantities and what was left over went to servants.
After the servants ate, the remaining food was given to the poor who waited outside the rich men's

Summer Is Hot On The Heels Of Spring
Summer is hot on the heels of Spring in spite of the roller coaster weather pattern some of us seem
to be in right now. Trust me, before we know it we 'll be complaining about the scorching heat and
oppressive humidity and wishing we could have just a day or two of those milder temperatures once
in a while. Anyway, with summertime comes the decidedly American tradition of cooking out.
Cooking out is one of my favorite Summer activities. What a great way to kill three birds with one
stone. First and most obvious we all need to eat, even though some of us (myself included) could
stand to eat a little less. So why not cook out? I don 't know about you, but for me there 's something
almost magical about eating food that 's been cooked on a charcoal grill. It just seems to taste better.
Maybe it 's an association thing like turkey at Thanksgiving and Christmas, ham at Easter, cake on
your birthday, liquor on New Years Eve – OK, maybe we shouldn 't go there. For my wife there 's
magic in the idea of her not having to cook. She 's always up for letting me do the cooking! Let 's
move on, shall we? Second, cooking out can help reduce energy consumption. Think about it. If you
're cooking outside you 're not heating up the house with the range and/or oven going while
simultaneously running the air conditioner to cool the house down. That should make Al Gore and
the "Inconvenient Truth" crowd happy. On the other hand, they probably wouldn 't appreciate the
idea of burning charcoal

The two riders went back to the others–Armaila could not hear what they were saying, but she did

From The Frying Pan Into The Fire Analysis
Nowadays, doing work seems to be inseparable from everyone's daily life throughout their whole
lifetime. Basically, work means any activity or actions that people use their energy to accomplish
something, and it could represent people's effort in both physical and mental levels. For instance,
when people are teenagers, they usually do the housework and schoolwork. As for the reasons why
people do such works, people are always told by others like their parents and their teachers that:
doing housework, like sweeping the floor and cleaning the dishes, enables teenagers gaining basic
skills at home, and helps them alleviate some social pressure of their parents; doing schoolwork, like
writing essays and making presentations, improves students' academic performance, and plays a

In this way, it seems to be unacceptable for us to regard people's blind pursuit of work as merely a
way of earning for their families. Thus, in order to explore the true reasons why people do work and
how they value work, both authors give out their own explanation. Arlie Russell Hochschild, a
professor emerita of sociology at the University of California, Berkeley, observes in her reading of
"From the Frying Pan into the Fire" that no longer people value works as purely family obligations
that encourage people to work for supporting their families, people right now tend to value doing
work as ways to have satisfied lives. And Kenji Yoshino, a professor of constitutional law at NYU
School of Law, describes in his writing of "Covering: The Hidden Assault on Our Civil Rights" that
covering is "work," meaning that in order to be accepted by others who may come from different
environment, people tend to cover some of their distinctiveness by using their emotional and

Choosing The Best Cookware Set

How to Choose the Best Cookware Set

No matter if you love cooking or not, choosing to buy the best cookware is very beneficial for both
your cooking needs and your wallet. Choosing to buy a cheap set may be tempting in order to save
money in the short term, but it actually tends to waste money in the long term. Cheap cookware can
easily get damaged by minor impacts, dishwashers, stirring and mashing and sometimes even the

Cast iron is also very heavy, but that's typically a trade–off for durability.

Aluminum

Aluminum is also a fairly common choice for cookware as it's a fairly cheap metal. The main benefit
of aluminum cookware is that it has great heat conduction and makes a very even temperature across
the entire pan to evenly cook many foods.
The negative side to this is that aluminum is a very soft metal, and cookware made of aluminum
tends to scratch and dent extremely easily.

Copper

Copper is on the expensive end of the cookware spectrum. It is commonly used by professional
chefs as it not only looks wonderful, but it also has great and even heat conductivity.
The negative aspect to copper is that it is so expensive that it is not very commonly used for regular
household kitchens. It also reacts to certain foods and requires regular polishing in order to maintain
its appealing and shiny look.

Is There a Best Choice?

The best cookware material choice would be a combination of metals. It's common for cookware to
have several different types of metal combined to make up for the disadvantages of some while
gaining the benefits of others. For example, two layers of stainless steel over a copper or cast iron
plate can make a durable pan with better and even heat conduction.

Maintenance

While some cookware choices are very durable and can last for years, even the best cookware needs
maintenance in order to stay in

Golden Holes: A Narrative Fiction
"Genesis," My younger sister called out from the other side of the tall grass, its tired, golden blades
growing high over her head. "Look what I found!" I jogged over in the direction of her voice, before
stopping a few feet behind an ominous hole that was deeper than it was wide. She was only two
years younger than me, but her curiosity hadn't left her yet, as she sat in front of it, eyes wide. Her
hands gripped the edge of the hole as she brought her head close to the opening, staring down into it.
Before I could tell her to get back, a worm–shaped appendage shot out and grabbed her by the neck,
pulling her deep into what could only be its home. Once I realized what had happened, I darted over
to the pit, trying to locate her. I could hear ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Cerise claimed it was so we can leave and bring in more people after we board up. Dolores, with her

black and the rain fell harder.
"Y'know, you really didn't have to go to the trouble. You've lived here long enough to know this is
normal for the storms here." The old woman set her 'coffee' down before crossing her arms and
walking to the backdoor, looking through the small window that met her eye level. As soon as she

in surprise.
The silent Hyraa walked over to her grandmother, helping her to the couch. Then suddenly, without

You should choose your kitchen utensils for enameled cast iron cookware very carefully, not
because it is particularly prone to scratching, because it is not, but because it tends to chip if banged.
Chipping of enameled cookware occurs when the enamel surface is shocked sufficiently to break the

bright colors and designs in which it is available, unlike the dark raw cast iron versions that look
unexciting even though they appear traditional and functional. Another reason is that is easy to

Argumentative Essay On French Fries
First, have you ever wonder what homemade French fries taste like? Well, for me it tastes like a

she was an amazing cook. She was learning how to cook rice, beans, chicken and mixing food

I learned at that second that to get rid of excess oil, all you need is a paper towel. My sister almost
used up the whole roll. She put the nuggets on a plate and said, "The nuggets are done, but don't eat
it cause it's hot. By the time I'm done frying the fries it should be cool enough to eat." I believed her.
However, something inside me kept saying something was wrong, but I mean my mom didn't say
anything so it couldn't be bad. Right?
When the fries were done, they looked good! The nuggets looked like they came out of Wendy's,
and honestly smelled even better. I got my plate ready and started to put five nuggets on my plate.
My sister was right: the nuggets were not hot, but warm, and the fries were freshly hot. I put a ton of
fries on my plate, sat down, and began to eat the fries. "Thank you, Lee!" I said. Lee turn and said,
"You're welcome Hector. I want you to have the best of the best." I held my breath and didn't say
anything after she replied. Honestly, it tasted somewhat different from normal restaurant fries, but
because she was so happy, I didn't want to hurt her feelings so I continued eating. She sat down next

Minutes later, my stomach started to hurt really bad. I told Lee, "I feel sick." She replied, "Then go

Persuasive Essay About Turkey
With Thanksgiving just around the corner, I was debating my options for cooking my turkey. My

duck, lamb, and even various cuts of pork and beef. I made a really good roast in it. It was delicious.
The oil–less fryer comes with a thermometer, but I would recommend getting your own as this one

Calphalon Cookware Products: Newell Rubbermaid
Calphalon cookware is usually a precise title brand name of a variety of cookware products that is

surfaces which are unusual due to the fact they are produced of anodized aluminum instead of

You might listen to a great deal of this kind of cookware known as "hard–anodization" cookware.
That phrase "hard–anodization" refers towards the electro–chemical procedure the business utilizes
to harden the aluminum they use to make their cookware. Via using chemical substances and electric
pulses, the aluminum used for Calphalon cookware results in being far tougher than normal
aluminum, allowing the material to be utilized for cooking. This therapy also makes the surface with
the cookware resistant to damage by way of abrasion or corrosion. In theory, a bit of this cookware

One day, my sister told me, "Hey Hector, do you want to eat something?" This was a test, a test that

would at least make her think what she wants to eat and not what I want, so whatever she says, I'll

"Yikes!" I said to myself, I really love chicken nuggets and French fries, how could I reject that

My sister looked inside the fryer and said, "Ma, is the oil good or bad?" My mom replied with a
confused face, "Good, why?" She replied, "Oh, nothing, just wondering." My mom left to continue
cleaning. I noticed my sister picking things out of the fryer. I honestly didn't know what she was
doing. She turned on the fryer and started to put the chicken nuggets. She waited and checked every
minute to make sure the nuggets don't overcook. My mom came into the kitchen because she

looked so happy and said, "Of course but let me feed Hector first because he must be hungry."

Descriptive Dining At Home
You finally meet a significant other and you want to impress them with an appetizing home cooked
meal. Unfortunately, your idea of fine dining at home is Raman Noodles served in a bowl and not in
the foam cup. Raman Noodles, even served in a bowl, will not impress any date. Now picture
yourself sharing a warm, freshly crafted pizza. A pizza with fried chicken smothered with provolone
cheese. A pizza with a pop of flavor provided by bell peppers. A pizza seamlessly put together with
ranch dressing. This simple recipe for chicken ranch pizza will make you resistible to any date. To
complete the following recipe, you will need one boneless chicken breast (an ideal size for the
chicken breast is the size of your hand), soy sauce, lemon juice, a bell pepper, shredded provolone
cheese, salt, Cayenne pepper, flour, olive oil, one large egg, and one frozen cheese pizza (preferably
Di Giorno rising crust). First you need to prep the chicken breast. If your chicken breast is frozen,
let your chicken breast thaw. To speed up the thawing process, you may use a microwave. However,
set the microwave to defrost mode before thawing your chicken, which will prevent the chicken
from drying out and will keep the chicken moist. Thaw the chicken, on defrost mode, for
approximately five to six minutes. After thawing the chicken, take a sharp knife and make a
horizontal cut across the middle of the breast. Always act carefully when working knives.
Remember to keep the blade down and always cut away from yourself. Cut the chicken into long
strips with roughly one–quarter inch of thickness. Reducing the thickness of the breast will reduce
the amount of time needed to cook the chicken fully. Now make a vertical cut every half inch to
both strips of chicken. The chicken pieces should resemble the size and shape of your middle and
ring finger combined. After cutting the chicken, wash hands thoroughly with warm water and soap.
Always wash your hands after touching raw meat to prevent cross commination. Do not touch any
other ingredient before washing your hands.
Next you need to assemble the marinade for the chicken. Start with a deep dish baking pan and add
one and half cups of soy sauce or until the bottom of the pan is

From The Frying Pan Into The Fire
Through the development of human history, economy and technology have been changed in many
ways. Development of technology allows people to be in the industrial society, and capitalism takes
an important position as an economic system. In order to develop technology, efficiency is
necessary. Because of this reason, capitalism also focuses on efficiency seeking to make more
profits. As the coming of technology and capitalism society develop the modernity in daily life,
efficiency seeking is not only required at the public level but also in the private life, and it influences
human connection and intimacy. Arlie Russell Hochschild, the author of "From the Frying Pan into
the Fire", demonstrates how capitalism and its market system influence human connection and
intimacy in their private lives, especially in the family and the community. Hochschild claims that
capitalism forces people to changing the notion of family because of efficiency–seeking in private
life. Sherry Turkle, the author of "Alone Together", talks about the impacts of technology that allow
people to always be connected to one another; however, at the same time, can make them feel alone.
Turkle says that technology contributes to human connection but also leads to the loss of real
intimacy. Therefore, desire for efficiency not only in the public sphere but also in the private sphere
aggravates the absence of authentic relationship and intimacy.

From The Frying Pan Into The Fire Analysis
With passing time, humans have developed an ability to productively manage time. Arlie Russell
Hochschild, in "From the Frying Pan into the Fire," writes about the spread of capitalism.
Hochschild speaks of her Quaker Oats cereal advertisement that shows a mother rushing her son to
eat the cereal. The advertisement shows Quaker Oats as a solution when a mother with a busy
schedule must tend to her son who lives a slower paced life style. The advertisement serves as a
meme itself. There would be millions of people watching the advertisement and eventually, this will
give an idea to every mother to serve Quaker Oats as breakfast. This also proves to be a meme of

Hochschild writes, "A constellation of forces seems to be pressing in the direction of the religion of
capitalism. And while no one wants to go back to the "frying pan" of patriarchy, we need to look
sharp about the fire of market individualism under capitalism"(188). Hochschild explains the readers
that everyone is being pushed towards capitalism. This push is strong anddeathly infectious. In
present time, all we see on the roads is shops owned by individuals. This gives us a reality check on
the spread of meme of capitalism. Furthermore, in order to show the results of the spread of
capitalism she writes, "We now work for two more weeks each year than our counterparts" and
"families are putting in more hours a day than they did thirty years ago(188,189). These two facts
have made it clear that the meme of capitalism has took place and the rate of the spread is increasing
each day. Although Hochschild argues that there is no particular way of spread, she writes that the
spread occurs through "airwave". Just like the meme of capitalism Blackmore explains the theory

When she heard her bedroom door clothes, she placed her paint brush down, listening to the sounds

In a swift motion she turned her head to look at the door, a frown forming on her lips. She hated

My Fried Baked Chicken
It was a day like any other. My husband was at work; and I was standing stagnantly in my kitchen,
gazing dreadfully at uncooked chicken wings and unbleached flour. My ideal meal arrangement
included fried chicken wings accompanied with Kraft's famous macaroni with cheese. Comparable
to any story the dilemma posed itself, when I noticed that there was no vegetable oil to fry with.
Moreover, I was still fixated on fried chicken. I customarily am the description of the term "strong–
headed", and having faith, I commenced a search for a new method of creating a chicken
masterpiece. Consequently, I began to ponder for the first time in my life, why vegetable oil (or any
oil) was essential to preparing fried chicken, and if I really needed it or not. I had been so
accustomed to the cliché preparation of fried chicken. I knew that this idea was going to cause me to
gain a new perspective, even think out side the chicken box to achieve the same results as fried
chicken from baking it instead. In my opinion, cooking oil is only a prerequisite concerning any
fried food method for two grand reasons: to prevent the food from sticking to a pan or pot, and lastly
so that the food will not burn from sticking to the pot or pan. Thus I charged myself with the intent
to redefine fried chicken. I questioned, did it need to be fried in oil to be considered fried? What did
the term "fry" even mean? After conscientiously researching why oil is needed to fry foods I

Can You Use Olive Or Margarine With Olive Oil?
Most of the questions that friends have asked me over the years when it comes to cooking and
baking have one thing in common: how to combine taste with health. I am going to attempt to
answer 5 of those questions with some healthy and tasty tips! 1. Can you use olive oil in cookies and
cakes and will they taste good? The answer to those questions is yes and yes! You can replace butter
or margarine with olive oil. The secret is to beat the olive oil with an electric mixer until it turns
white. In the process, it will also lose its distinctive odor. That can take up to 20 minutes but it 's
well worth your trouble. 2. Is there a healthy topping for ice cream? Chocolate and fudge syrups add
empty calories to ice cream. You can surely do without them. Try making this topping instead: wash
well and quarter half a pound strawberries. Put them in a bowl and add 2 tbsp water, one tsp sweet
liquor of your preference and finally, one tbsp sugar. Put the lid on the bowl and refrigerate for at
least 2 hours. When it 's ready, you will have a mouth–watering syrup as well as delicious
strawberries to top the ice cream with. 3. Can you have something that 's as tasty as ice cream but
with fewer calories, much less sugar and very little or no fat at all? Here 's an extremely easy
solution: One cup (8 oz) low–fat or no–fat plain yogurt Your favorite jello (mine is strawberry)

stepping off of the plane into the lobby, I was hit with what part of my new experience was going to
be like; bitter cold. It was only the beginning of April and it was still colder than any other part of
the United States. As I walked into the airplane lobby and waited to grab my bags, I saw a room at
the end of the terminal labeled "USO". All around me were other people from flights that just
landed. A few, I could tell, were in the military; judging by their close kempt haircuts and confident
statures. After grabbing my bags off of the carousel, I walked to the USO room where I saw an older

Good Ol' Southern Food: The Ins and Outs of Preparing a Southern Feast
There is just something about Southern Cooking, something about the women who've mastered it,
and something about what it represents. A Southern Feast represents time spent in careful
preparation and an almost entire region of people that didn't get the memo about cholesterol.
Southern cooking brilliantly displays a community that still remains untouched by at least some of
the craziness in the world around us. Things move a little slower in the South, and one of those
things is the cooking. Preparing a Southern feast is a job. It is hard work, and it takes some time, but
that is part of the charm. This cooking is the kind that allows for sitting around canning ... Show

Because frying is virtually the same for most meats, we will focus on the art of frying chicken.
Begin with the batter. This can consist of a plethora of things. My grandmother, who spent her entire
life in the south, always took flour and then added salt and pepper. She then took the chicken
straight to the frying pan. Naturally, I think this is the correct way to do it, but there are others. For
example, many people find that dipping the chicken in raw egg helps the flour stay on better. While
I have never actually seen this done, I have heard that is how 'Hardees' batters their chicken.
(Complete instructions are listed below.)
The next and most important step is the cooking. This brings us to that lard. Now for the health
conscious, olive oil is a far better alternative, but for the true southerner, lard is the only way to go.
You just don't get pretty brown chicken any other way. In a hot skillet, add two or three big scoops
of lard. Once it melts and is hot, add the chicken. Place a pinch of flour in the skillet, if it sizzles,
then you will know the oil is ready. Try to keep a safe distance away, as you are apt to get stung a bit
by the flying grease. Of course at some point you will have to get close enough to turn it, but avoid
direct eye contact if at all possible. The chicken should begin to turn white on top. Turn the chicken
to the other side and allow to cook. For best results, something like tongs

Example Of Rapunzel Alternate Ending

 • 1. Example Of Rapunzel Alternate Ending Rapunzel grew up pretty normal, as normal as as you could for being locked away from the outside world. Never being allowed to step a foot outside, let alone being allowed to venture down to the hospital mother Gothel worked at. All the young girl knew as the apartment she shared with Mother Gothel. She familiarized herself rather quickly with the layout of the apartment when she got old enough to be left alone. Learning every nook and cranny of the place, the only thing she couldn't figure out was how to escape the locked door and make her way down to the hospital to see her mother. The older she grew the less time Gothel spent with her. Each time she left the apartment, she would be gone longer and longer, only coming back when she need a bone marrow transplant. Something the young blond hate more than anything in the world. You'd think that someone who grew up getting them every month like clock work would have grown used to them, but no. She hated it and would probably hate it for the rest of her life. The only reason she didn't put up a big fight about it was because her mother needed the transplant to stay healthy. She didn't want to be ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Not once, but twice. "Today is my birthday." She nearly shouted at her mother. "It's my 18th birthday, which means I can go outside." She spoke. Coming to a stop she began jumping up and down in place. Rapunzels mother on the other hand was not so thrilled with the fact, a panicked look appeared on her face but quickly vanished. "No, Rapunzel." Gothel's slender hand reached out, grabbing hold of the bouncing girl to hold her still. "You can not leave, the world is far too dangerous for a girl like yourself." Gothel spoke with a hiss, her fingers tightening around Rapunzel's shoulders. "You are far to naive for this world." She tried her best to sound like a worried mother. Which worked. He glanced at his face in the mirror over the fireplace as if seeing it for the first time. Then he looked at the rest of the room, over his reflection's shoulder; the two old armchairs, the long dining table and the sideboard, upon which rested the big mahogany wireless. Sean liked everything about that wireless. He liked its solid chunkiness, the big wooden dials and the window with its red needle, which lit up when you turned the set on. He thought of the programmes he listened to in the evening. There was 'Dick Barton, Special Agent'; "Come on, Snowy, help me break down this door before the blighter gets away!" and there was 'Journey ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... When summer would come they cycled the five miles to Hainault Forest to pick blackberries. But they would often come across little glades with no trees. They were intensely lit by the rays of the summer sun, like small islands of happiness, not enough to make them too hot from the fullness of sunlight, but enough to bathe his face and arms in their warmth. And just when it was getting too hot, he could again dive into the pool of fresh, moist greens of the forest. Sean had always appreciated nature, its perfection and knew that it was his guide. From young he observed that birds would only live with other birds and the possums would only live with other possums. "This is how it is meant to be" Sean thought to himself. This is real family, where everyone looks similar and everyone has the same mum and dad. His mother was always busy back in London, but she was on her way to take him back for a holiday. Apparently she had just got married again and had written to say she wanted to take him home, back with his real family. Sean continued to sit isolated by the warmth of the fireplace and worked on his bridge construction kit. He was still struggling to understand the schematics however. His parents had split up when he was seven, and he had been with the Keith and the Drayson family ever since. The grown ups ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

 • 9. Personal Narrative Essay: My Experience To Monkey Island A few years back, on a sunny Sunday morning, I visited Palolem beach along with my cousins. The moment we reached the beach, we could see a lovely deserted island popularly known as Monkey Island (marked as Kankon Island on Google maps). We had a great time playing on the beach; it was a very secluded & clean beach those days. The island alluringly beckoned to us and we decided to take a closer look at it. We walked towards a rocky area as the villagers told us we could wade across from there to Monkey Island in low tide. However, when we reached the rocks we found that the water between us and the island was neck deep & the current was very strong. We decided not be take a risk, dropped the idea of visiting the island and instead sat down on the rocks to enjoy the view of the sea. It was a nice experience watching the sea, the waves, the rocks & the spray. After a while we noticed that a little further ahead, an old man in rags was fishing using a homemade fishing rod. He seemed to have had a bad day so far as there were only 3–4 small fishes lying in a small plastic bag next to him. We felt sorry for him and hoped that he would catch a big fish soon. After a few minutes, our prayers seemed to have been answered as he reeled in a big fish. We felt happy thinking that he would be able to eat a good meal today. However, to our utter dismay after removing the big fish ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Another cousin suggested that if he is unable to afford a new pan, he can cut the big fish into small pieces before frying it! This is not an article about fishing & frying pans, but about pursuing big dreams. Many times, like the old man threw back the big fish which would not fit his tiny frying pan, we dismiss our big dreams because we feel that they are too big to fit our existing mindsets & abilities. Let us apply the two approaches suggested above in pursuing our big dreams. Approach 1: Get a bigger frying ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

 • 13. Personal Statement : The Unlucky Runner Unlucky Runner "John McBernette, please stay after class," my english teacher ordered a few seconds before the bell. Suspecting I had been caught yet once again pulling a prank on my friend, I cursed the day she was born silently while sulking deeper into my seat. As I stood standing in front of her desk, awaiting her almost daily lecture, I realized that my life was not hot and spicy like I always imagined it to be at my present age. However, that was five years ago. Since that day I have been running, running from the biggest known hitman agency. It all started when I got home that day after school. I walked up the two flights of stairs into my empty apartment. An old, run–down, red bricked, twentieth century building. I crumpled the parent–teacher note I usually got, and tossed it into the trash. With my luck I probably missed, so I made my way back to the crumpled paper on the ground and put it into the trash, once again hitting the edge of the trash can and falling down. "Damn," I said casually to myself, "my luck is really off today." I was beginning to crave an after school snack, deciding toast would be the best choice, as there wasn't much that could go wrong while making toast. Unfortunately, the toast caught fire after being in the toaster for a minute too long. I started to laugh, thinking I had jinxed myself into eternal unluckiness. Pouring a cup of water over the small flames was not what I had intended to do, but it had been an instinct. The flames were ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

 • 17. From The Frying Pan Into The Fire Analysis What is the most important thing for people in nowadays society? The most realistic answer probably is money. Capitalism is the combination of efficiency and profit; the more money one person can make shows the ability this person maintain. As the time goes by, capitalism is competing with the family values as people show their love to families through the amount of money they make, instead of the amount of time they spend with families. The issue of humans in nowadays is paying more attention to profit and efficiency can be found in both Arlie Russel Hochschild's "From the Frying Pan into the Fire," and Susan Blackmore's "Strange Creatures". In "From the Frying Pan into the Fire," Hochschild introduces the idea of capitalism, and people treat ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In "Strange Creatures" Blackmore believes that imitations are "selfish" in both positive and negative forms. The meme can replicate everything with positive or negative ideas; people use the unique imitation abilities to pass the memes globally, which leads people around the world believe that money is the most important thing for the family, and this is the negative side brings by imitation. Blackmore describes memes as "selfish," and memes can exist in both positive and negative forms. "Some meme are positively harmful–like chain letters and pyramid selling, new methods of fraud and false doctrines, ineffective slimming diets and dangerous medical' cures'. Of course, the memes do not care; they are selfish like genes and will simply spread if they can" (37). Memes and genes are selfish; their purpose is acting like replicators and spread themselves. People in nowadays believe that the more money they made, the more love they show to the family, as a result, lesser people are spending time with families, which is the negative effect brings by imitation. The ability to imitate makes humans believe that money and efficiency bring the family into a happy life. However, with the understanding of capitalism, people will not accept anything they have heard that spread by imitation. People will think and analysis the cause ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

If the cast iron cookware is not seasoned properly or part of the seasoning wears off, it should be properly cleaned and re– seasoned. It is best to clean cast iron cookware while it is still hot using warm water and soap, and scraping when necessary. However, do not soak or leave soapy water in cast iron cookware. Rinse thoroughly and dry well with a dishcloth. To make sure the cookware is completely dry, place it on the heated burner of your stove for a minute or two. Store your cast iron cookware with the lids off, especially in humid weather, because if covered, moisture can build up and cause the cookware to rust. In any case, place a few paper towels inside a pan/skillet to make sure that any moisture will be absorbed. Dryness is of paramount ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Bouquet Of Flowers And The Frying Pan The Bouquet of Flowers and the Frying Pan They are just simple inanimate objects, items, things, whatever we want to call them, but it is up to us for those objects to become animate, giving them attention and importance in our lives and we become dependent on those objects. In the introduction of the book Taking Things Seriously: 75 Objects with Unexpected Significance by Joshua Glenn and Carol Hayes, Glenn talks about how different groups in our society criticize each other over commodity fetishes even though they are guilty themselves. We are always looking for different objects to fill the emptiness of our lives and give to them more importance should they really have. Glenn mentions "the success anthropologist Lyall Watson describes any inanimate object which... demands attention and exercises power over those people whom it appeals", like in the stories of Genesis Cabrera and Josh Ozersky making the object vital in their lives. The stories have few similarities in some of the aspects, of provenance, properties and essence. I think Cabrera's story will not make it to the second edition of the book since her unexpected significant object doesn't covert the criteria what there are looking for in the book even though there are some similarities, but I don't believe the essence is strong enough. Probably both men and women are working in order to make money to support families. Women's gender roles have changed significantly within fifty years. Because of Capitalism, women now have more rights than before, and some women now make more money than men. Capitalism combines the principle efficiency and the aim for profit, which presents as the more money one person can make shows the ability this person maintain. In "From the Frying Pan into the Fire," Hochschild introduces the idea of capitalism, and capitalism is competing with the family values as people show their love to families through the amount of money they make, instead of the amount of time they spend with families. And the family structures have changed into both females and males are working. In "The Taste for Civilization: Food, Polities, and Civil Society," Flammang describes many definitions for the civil society, because it contains many different aspects. For example, civil society includes honesty, politeness, and civility. However, one of the most significant changes of civil society involves women's gender roles. Women's social statuses have changed, and women have become more equal to men. Capitalism's value system restructures the traditional notions of the family, which influences the family value in the civil society. Trust me, before we know it we 'll be complaining about the scorching heat and oppressive humidity and wishing we could have just a day or two of those milder temperatures once in a while. Anyway, with summertime comes the decidedly American tradition of cooking out. Cooking out is one of my favorite Summer activities. What a great way to kill three birds with one stone. First and most obvious we all need to eat, even though some of us (myself included) could stand to eat a little less. So why not cook out? I don 't know about you, but for me there 's something almost magical about eating food that 's been cooked on a charcoal grill. It just seems to taste better. Maybe it 's an association thing like turkey at Thanksgiving and Christmas, ham at Easter, cake on your birthday, liquor on New Years Eve – OK, maybe we shouldn 't go there. For my wife there 's magic in the idea of her not having to cook. She 's always up for letting me do the cooking! Let 's move on, shall we? Second, cooking out can help reduce energy consumption. Think about it. If you 're cooking outside you 're not heating up the house with the range and/or oven going while simultaneously running the air conditioner to cool the house down. That should make Al Gore and the "Inconvenient Truth" crowd happy. On the other hand, they probably wouldn 't appreciate the idea of burning charcoal ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Basically, work means any activity or actions that people use their energy to accomplish something, and it could represent people's effort in both physical and mental levels. For instance, when people are teenagers, they usually do the housework and schoolwork. As for the reasons why people do such works, people are always told by others like their parents and their teachers that: doing housework, like sweeping the floor and cleaning the dishes, enables teenagers gaining basic skills at home, and helps them alleviate some social pressure of their parents; doing schoolwork, like writing essays and making presentations, improves students' academic performance, and plays a significant role in ... Thus, in order to explore the true reasons why people do work and how they value work, both authors give out their own explanation. Arlie Russell Hochschild, a professor emerita of sociology at the University of California, Berkeley, observes in her reading of "From the Frying Pan into the Fire" that no longer people value works as purely family obligations that encourage people to work for supporting their families, people right now tend to value doing work as ways to have satisfied lives. And Kenji Yoshino, a professor of constitutional law at NYU School of Law, describes in his writing of "Covering: The Hidden Assault on Our Civil Rights" that covering is "work," meaning that in order to be accepted by others who may come from different environment, people tend to cover some of their distinctiveness by using their emotional and physical ... Cast iron is also very heavy, but that's typically a trade–off for durability.
Aluminum
Aluminum is also a fairly common choice for cookware as it's a fairly cheap metal. The main benefit of aluminum cookware is that it has great heat conduction and makes a very even temperature across the entire pan to evenly cook many foods. The negative side to this is that aluminum is a very soft metal, and cookware made of aluminum tends to scratch and dent extremely easily.
Copper
Copper is on the expensive end of the cookware spectrum. • 106. Grumpy Duramy Short Story Long, long ago, in the mystical kingdom of Muampa, there lived a rather crotchety egg who wasn't typically sunny side up. Back then, this ill–tempered egg went by the name of Grumpy Dumpty. For twelve days and twelve nights, the joyous people of Muampa were miserable. The villagers had asked Grumpy dumpty to stop, but all he did was egg–nore them. "Oh Grumpy, don't be such a dull egg and turn that frown upside down," little Hope pleaded. "Quit your begging little girl. Nothing you say or do will ever change the way I am. This disturbing kingdom is too jubilant. You'll see, one day I will have my chance to get off this wall and rue the day!" Grumpy Dumpty heartlessly said to the innocent child. Hope sadly stomped off to the king's court to report this horrifying incident. "Oh please, oh please!! There has to be something you can do. That unegg–ceptional egg is trying to turn this kingdom into an incredibly gloomy place. We can't let this happen. We just can't!!" Hope said with a deep sob. The king's men stared at each other in confusion. "Well, I have never heard of this so–called "Grumpy Dumpty" character. I have heard of Humpty Dumpty, but we are not living in a fairytale world. It would make no sense for him to egg–ist," said old Joe. "Oh come on! You have to believe me!" cried little Hope. Understand that the information I will say come from various sources due to lost memories. All that will explain why my sister Lee, is awfully amazing. First, have you ever wonder what homemade French fries taste like? Well, for me it tastes like a memory that scar my taste buds forever. It all began when Lee was fifteen years old. She thought she was an amazing cook. She was learning how to cook rice, beans, chicken and mixing food together to see what science experiment will come out. Honestly, it all tasted somewhat... bad. But I still had hope that she will learn how to cook and that it tastes... well... good. But I should have listen to my gut feeling, which was "DON'T EAT IT!" One day, my sister told me, "Hey Hector, do you want to eat something?" This was a test, a test that she will use against me if I answer wrong. So, I relied, "What do "you" want to eat?" I knew this would at least make her think what she wants to eat and not what I want, so whatever she says, I'll just say, no thank you and I would be safe. But she said, "I want chicken nuggets and French fries." "Yikes!" I said to myself, I really love chicken nuggets and French fries, how could I reject that offer. Then again, how could anyone mess up fried food. Right? Wrong! This is the day that I will remember for the rest of my life. And every time I eat homemade fries, I would end up throwing up. My sister looked inside the fryer and said, "Ma, is the oil good or bad?" My mom replied with a confused face, "Good, why?" She replied, "Oh, nothing, just wondering." My mom left to continue cleaning. I noticed my sister picking things out of the fryer. I honestly didn't know what she was doing. She turned on the fryer and started to put the chicken nuggets. She waited and checked every minute to make sure the nuggets don't overcook. My mom came into the kitchen because she smelled something cooking. She looked at Lee and said, "Aww, you going to cook for me too?" Lee looked so happy and said, "Of course but let me feed Hector first because he must be hungry." Honestly, I was. I only ate breakfast which was at 7am and it was already 2pm. I could have eaten anything that smelled ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Unfortunately, your idea of fine dining at home is Raman Noodles served in a bowl and not in the foam cup. Raman Noodles, even served in a bowl, will not impress any date. Now picture yourself sharing a warm, freshly crafted pizza. A pizza with fried chicken smothered with provolone cheese. A pizza with a pop of flavor provided by bell peppers. A pizza seamlessly put together with ranch dressing. This simple recipe for chicken ranch pizza will make you resistible to any date. To complete the following recipe, you will need one boneless chicken breast (an ideal size for the chicken breast is the size of your hand), soy sauce, lemon juice, a bell pepper, shredded provolone cheese, salt, Cayenne pepper, flour, olive oil, one large egg, and one frozen cheese pizza (preferably Di Giorno rising crust). First you need to prep the chicken breast. If your chicken breast is frozen, let your chicken breast thaw. To speed up the thawing process, you may use a microwave. However, set the microwave to defrost mode before thawing your chicken, which will prevent the chicken from drying out and will keep the chicken moist. Thaw the chicken, on defrost mode, for approximately five to six minutes. After thawing the chicken, take a sharp knife and make a horizontal cut across the middle of the breast. Always act carefully when working knives. Remember to keep the blade down and always cut away from yourself. Cut the chicken into long strips with roughly one–quarter inch of thickness. Reducing the thickness of the breast will reduce the amount of time needed to cook the chicken fully. Now make a vertical cut every half inch to both strips of chicken. The chicken pieces should resemble the size and shape of your middle and ring finger combined. After cutting the chicken, wash hands thoroughly with warm water and soap. Always wash your hands after touching raw meat to prevent cross commination. Do not touch any other ingredient before washing your hands. Next you need to assemble the marinade for the chicken. But when the grilled, pleasant–smelling Yakisoba was served in front of me, it just blew my mind. Appetite is something mysterious. All of sudden, the Yakisoba seemed to be very delicious! When I put this newly made Yakisoba in my mouth, it tasted so hot. And the noodles with sauce – the seasoning was slightly thick, the manager's preference, I guess. I tasted the spiciness in the food, and I was wondering if the spice is from the pepper he added before. Not only that, but I was also able to perceive subtle difference of flavor, from the secret ingredient – half–consumed beer became invisible in Yakisoba, but aroma remained. What was that about? In fact, the ingredients looked quite simple, just pork and cabbage, but with browned surface in places, conflated with the fragrant smell of sesame oil, nothing could stop me from eating my food. Development of technology allows people to be in the industrial society, and capitalism takes an important position as an economic system. In order to develop technology, efficiency is necessary. Because of this reason, capitalism also focuses on efficiency seeking to make more profits. As the coming of technology and capitalism society develop the modernity in daily life, efficiency seeking is not only required at the public level but also in the private life, and it influences human connection and intimacy. Arlie Russell Hochschild, the author of "From the Frying Pan into the Fire", demonstrates how capitalism and its market system influence human connection and intimacy in their private lives, especially in the family and the community. Arlie Russell Hochschild, in "From the Frying Pan into the Fire," writes about the spread of capitalism. Hochschild speaks of her Quaker Oats cereal advertisement that shows a mother rushing her son to eat the cereal. The advertisement shows Quaker Oats as a solution when a mother with a busy schedule must tend to her son who lives a slower paced life style. The advertisement serves as a meme itself. There would be millions of people watching the advertisement and eventually, this will give an idea to every mother to serve Quaker Oats as breakfast. This also proves to be a meme of capitalism. And while no one wants to go back to the "frying pan" of patriarchy, we need to look sharp about the fire of market individualism under capitalism"(188). Hochschild explains the readers that everyone is being pushed towards capitalism. This push is strong anddeathly infectious. In present time, all we see on the roads is shops owned by individuals. This gives us a reality check on the spread of meme of capitalism. Furthermore, in order to show the results of the spread of capitalism she writes, "We now work for two more weeks each year than our counterparts" and "families are putting in more hours a day than they did thirty years ago(188,189). These two facts have made it clear that the meme of capitalism has took place and the rate of the spread is increasing each day. Although Hochschild argues that there is no particular way of spread, she writes that the spread occurs through "airwave". Turning her head she looked back at the canvas in front of her, she had painted a lot of the canvas, only a small portion of it remained white. My ideal meal arrangement included fried chicken wings accompanied with Kraft's famous macaroni with cheese. Comparable to any story the dilemma posed itself, when I noticed that there was no vegetable oil to fry with. Moreover, I was still fixated on fried chicken. I customarily am the description of the term "strong– headed", and having faith, I commenced a search for a new method of creating a chicken masterpiece. Consequently, I began to ponder for the first time in my life, why vegetable oil (or any oil) was essential to preparing fried chicken, and if I really needed it or not. I had been so accustomed to the cliché preparation of fried chicken. I knew that this idea was going to cause me to gain a new perspective, even think out side the chicken box to achieve the same results as fried chicken from baking it instead. In my opinion, cooking oil is only a prerequisite concerning any fried food method for two grand reasons: to prevent the food from sticking to a pan or pot, and lastly so that the food will not burn from sticking to the pot or pan. Thus I charged myself with the intent to redefine fried chicken. I questioned, did it need to be fried in oil to be considered fried? What did the term "fry" even mean? After conscientiously researching why oil is needed to fry foods I accumulated a list of pros and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Out Of The Frying Pan, Into The Fire Out of the Frying Pan, Into the Fire Lance Gehrke University of Maryland University College Out of the Frying Pan, Into the Fire On the flight from Boise, Idaho to Syracuse, New York I kept thinking to myself, "This is just a new chapter. This is just a new chapter in my life." I was on my way to my next duty assignment, the 10th Mountain Division stationed at Fort Drum, New York. I was filled with dread from all the bad things people said about this duty station like, "Be ready for the 8 month winters" and "Get ready to deploy a lot." It was a very scary time for me. I was told these comments when I was at my last duty station in Okinawa, Japan. I thought about them the entire time from the moment I got my orders to the moment I hopped on that plane to get there. After finding my seat, I was hit with the full idea of what I was about to experience. As I was stepping off of the plane into the lobby, I was hit with what part of my new experience was going to be like; bitter cold. It was only the beginning of April and it was still colder than any other part of the United States. As I walked into the airplane lobby and waited to grab my bags, I saw a room at the end of the terminal labeled "USO". All around me were other people from flights that just landed. Because frying is virtually the same for most meats, we will focus on the art of frying chicken. Begin with the batter. This can consist of a plethora of things. My grandmother, who spent her entire life in the south, always took flour and then added salt and pepper. She then took the chicken straight to the frying pan. Naturally, I think this is the correct way to do it, but there are others. For example, many people find that dipping the chicken in raw egg helps the flour stay on better. While I have never actually seen this done, I have heard that is how 'Hardees' batters their chicken. (Complete instructions are listed below.) The next and most important step is the cooking. This brings us to that lard. Now for the health conscious, olive oil is a far better alternative, but for the true southerner, lard is the only way to go. You just don't get pretty brown chicken any other way. In a hot skillet, add two or three big scoops of lard. Once it melts and is hot, add the chicken. Place a pinch of flour in the skillet, if it sizzles, then you will know the oil is ready. Try to keep a safe distance away, as you are apt to get stung a bit by the flying grease. Of course at some point you will have to get close enough to turn it, but avoid direct eye contact if at all possible. The chicken should begin to turn white on top. Turn the chicken to the other side and allow to cook. For best results, something like tongs ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
