2. Who are they?
Future plc is a media company. In 2006, it was the
ranked the sixth-largest media corporation in the United
Kingdom. It publishes more than 30 magazines in fields
such as video games, technology, films, photography,
and sport. Future is the official magazine company of
two out of the three major games console
manufacturers with Official Nintendo Magazine ceased
publishing in October 2014.
3. What is there history?
The company was founded as Future Publishing in
Somerton, Somerset in 1985 by Chris Anderson with the
sole magazine Amstrad Action. An early innovation was
the inclusion of free software on magazine covers, the
first company to do so.
Anderson sold Future to Pearson PLC for £52.7m in 1994,
but bought it back in 1998, with Future chief executive
Greg Ingham and Apax Venture Partners, for £142m. In
2001 Anderson left Future.

5. The official PlayStation magazine is managed by Future. It
provides all the latest new and updates to gamers in the
community. Founded in Winter 2006, PlayStation release an issue
once every month and contains updates about the new
PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 games and material coming out
soon. Editors include :

6. Windows: The Official Magazine is a technology magazine produced by Future plc in
association with Microsoft, and published worldwide. The title describes itself as "A PC
magazine for real life", and contains news, features, guides and reviews designed to show
readers how to make better use of their Windows PC. The magazine is notable for being the
biggest magazine launch in publishing history, going on sale in eleven countries
simultaneously. Launched the day after Windows Vista was released, versions were produced
in the UK, US, France, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Netherlands, Belgium, Brazil, South Africa
and Australia. The title was also sold in Austria, Canada, Denmark, Italy, Norway, Sweden,
Switzerland, Bahrain, Finland, Greece, Hong Kong, India, Latvia, Mauritius, New Zealand,
Oman, Pakistan, Singapore, Ukraine, Taiwan, and Thailand.
