1. Media Publishing Industries
Future Publishing
Future Publishing publishes more than 150 magazines in the UK to which in 2006 was the
sixth largest publishing company. It publishes various types of magazines, particularly with
in fields such as video games (it is the official magazine company of all three major games
console manufacturers.), cycling, technology, photography, automotive, and films. Future
publishing also has websites to which not only helps to advertise their magazines but also to
help to create and run events for their consumers too. The advents are much more
particular and specific to their music magazines and music magazines; they run some of the
most popular websites such as Gamesradar, Musicradrar and Metal hammer to which also
run events such as; Hammerfest, Hammer Golden Gods and The Golden Joystick Awards.
There are most commonly known for their wide range of magazines specifically for the
gamers in society, they publish several gaming magazines, to which the following; Nintendo,
Gamesmaster, OSPM and OXM are a few examples. They publish magazines in other
‘genres’/ ‘areas’ too, such as photography, technology and gardening. As I propose to make
a music magazine, I shall research into a few magazines to which they publish, such as Metal
Hammer.
Despite their many advantages compared to other publishing companies and their success
in the past, due to the fall of general advertising losses over the states the company had
recorded a 61% sales los in the fiscal year to which occurred in September 2009. To end
upraise all tragedy in May 2011 Future Publishing’s magazine DVD and Blu-ray review had to
end printing due to a high loss in sales within the subscribers of the magazines; the current
subscribers were then to receive a relevant magazine due to the commotion .

magazines and online titles. Dennis Publishing is ever expanding and has evolved greatly
with its success with publishing the following popular magazines Bizarre, iGizmo, Men’s
Fitness and Viz. They did publish Inside Poker which had to cancel print due to lack of sales.
