This is my house style and product information about my magazine

1. What Is My House Style?
Within a house style, there are many things that need to be included
to ensure that the pages that will be created, so that they have some
links. One example of a house style, which I am going to use, is the
same font, on each page. However, some font may be in bold, italics
or underlined, to make them stand out due to being important topics.
The font style that I have chosen to use is Microsoft Sans Sarif on
Photoshop. This font will be used on every page because this then
means that the pages look similar, meaning that they would be able
to link up together. An example of I would use this is in the double
page spread; majority of the font will be normal, whereas important
quotes or questions will be in bold or italics.
As well as this, another area that will link my pages together is the
colour scheme that I am going to use. The colours, which I am going
to use, are grey, black, red and white, and these colours will be kept
consistent throughout the magazine. I have chosen to select these
colours to be part of my magazine because due to my research from
my target audience, they have said that I should use colours such as
“red or yellow, with hints of black and grey.” This shows that these
colours are suitable for a rap magazine, and they would also appeal
to my target audience out there. An example of where I am going to
use this is on the contents, where the text will be black (as well as
some areas being underlined or in bold), the images will have black
and white filters, and important content within the magazine will be
highlighted with the colour red.
A final area for my house style, that will link my pages up together is
at the bottom of the contents page and the double page spread. On
the bottom of each page, I will have the page number and any other
extra bits of information such as the website. The contents page and
the double page spread will have this on their pages as then the
products will look as though they fit into the same magazine, due to
having a similar house style.

2. Product Information
When thinking of a name for my magazine, I have had a lot in mind.
The ideas for my magazine name include ideas from the music genre
of rap. Some ideas of names need to have some relevance to do with
the music genre that I have chosen, which is rap. The ideas of words
that I might include for the title of the magazine are words such as:
rap, urban and hip-hop. Some ideas of title names are Urban Music,
Rap 21, Urban Rap, 3Hip-Hop. After much consideration, I decided
that the name that I would use is Urban 21. As you can see by the
title, I have incorporated two titles to form into one, Urban Music and
Rap 21. I have decided to use these titles because I wanted to use
the word urban as the definition is “relating to popular dance music of
black origin”, which relates to the target audience of my magazine.
As well as this, the title Rap 21 has been incorporated within the final
title of the magazine as the number, 21, stands out and draws your
attention when reading it, so I thought to use the word urban and the
number 21 to create my title for my music magazine.
