Questionnaire Evaluation
Overview
The main aim of the questionnaire for us was to gage
what the audience are generally interested in, and also
how interested our audiences were in movies. We then
pitched all 5 of our ideas to them, and then asked them
which they would enjoy seeing the most. This allowed
us to think more in depth about the idea and form a
second questionnaire.
Question 1
We asked about gender to simply get a look into our
demographics. We did it to prove we had as even a
split as possible. The data below clearly shows that to
be true. While the split isn’t perfect, it’s nearly even.
Male
Female
Question 2
Once again asking about age was simply to gage our
demographics. The survey was given out inside a
school to teachers and students to it would be
impossible to get an even split of each demographic.
We found older demographics were harder to find and
the youngest was impossible to find.

Question 3
We asked about peoples favorite genre to first of all see what
their interests were and what they enjoyed most to see how
that affected there later choices, and secondly see what would
be the most popular genre to cover. We picked the genre
options as just general popular picks, but did include an
‘Other’ section. Action came through as the most popular.

Question 4
We asked question 4 to get an understanding of how
interested in movies our respondents were. This allowed us to
prove that we were asking people who were more
knowledgeable in regard to movies to prove that the advice
we were taking on board from the questionnaires was
worthwhile. We chose to cap it at 5+ as anything over 5 we
deemed enough to be interested in movies.

Question 5
We asked question 5 to gain an understanding of what people
valued as important in movie openings. We picked the 4
choices by thinking about what we thought was most vital and
then left an ‘Other’ column for people if they deemed it
necessary. The data we retrieved from this will allow us to
gain an understanding of what people enjoy in movie
openings and we can then tailor our work to this.

Question 6
We asked question 6 to see if people’s favorite type of intro
differed from their favorite type of movie. We gathered this
data as we thought it would allow us to see what type of intro
people enjoyed most, since we are only making an intro not
the full movie. This once again allowed us to focus on a
specific genre for our next round of questions. Action was still
the overwhelming favorite.

Question 7
Finally, we pitched our ideas and asked which one they
thought would be best. The majority went to idea 3, which
matches our previous data of action being the favorite, with
introducing the characters and setting the tone being the
biggest picks in that question. Our 3rd idea matches this
closely so this result was no surprise.
