Questionnaire Evaluation 2
2. Overview
We used a second questionnaire to better gain an
understanding of what we were trying to make. The
first questionnaire allowed us to gain a general
overview and then allowed us to write this second
survey that allowed us to get a more in depth view of
what the audience would want from our intro. Our
research from this will allow us to develop our project
and better cater to what people are interested in.
3. Question 1+2
We asked the same questions to prove that we asked
the same demographic of people.

4. Question 3
We asked question 3 to develop an idea of the style of our
intro and what people prefer to see, or in this case hear. We
asked simply whether people would prefer to hear a voiceover
or music for our idea. We got an overwhelming response for
music to be played. We then later asked more in depth about
the type of music and got a more detailed reply. This question
was mainly used as a stepping stone.

5. Question 4
We asked question 4 to once again further shape our idea and see what
people would prefer to see. The point of asking about title cards or text
overlay is a bigger deal than it seems as it sets the flow of the intro. With
title cards it is more start stop and the editing should represent this where
as with text overlay things flow more seamlessly, and once again the
editing should reflect that. We had more people wanting title cards so that
is the style we will be taking on.

6. Question 5
Question 5 was put in place to get an idea if we could actually pull off a
‘action’ intro without any ‘action’. One of the key reasons we believe our
idea will be a success is due to the simplicity of the idea and the basic
filming we will be using. If people thought that action would be needed,
then we would struggle to argue that our idea would work, however, as
our research shows people do not believe this and they do think you can
have an action movie without a big fast paced action intro.

No
7. Question 6
Penultimately we decided to ask in depth about the type of music people
would enjoy in the intro. We feel this needed to be asked as there were a
few ways we could have taken. We picked our words based on the few
types we would like to hear. We either wanted a dirty fast paced feel or a
slow, majestic building type of song. The response we found was more
people were in favor of the fast paced and dirty and dense feeling we
wanted.

8. Question 7
Finally we asked what overall feeling the audience would expect from the intro to
an action movie. The results to this question would help us determine what the
tone of our intro should be. People were given the options of gritty, dark, funny or
intense, so these results would let us see if people would rather see something like
an action comedy or a darker action movie. The results revealed more of a middle
ground –most people didn’t choose funny or dark so it shouldn’t be too light-
hearted or too serious, but they did say they would expect it to be gritty and
intense, which we will work to incorporate in our intro.
