What is the Hour of Code?
Launched in 2013, Code.org® is a non-profit dedicated to
expanding access to computer science. The vision is that
every student in every school should have the opportunity to
learn computer science. The site has many tutorials which
will help students learn and understand coding and computer
science.
code.org
The Challenge:
During the week of Dec 7th - 13th
EVERY student…
is logged in to their Hour of Code house classroom by the end of the day on
Monday (Check your House Google Classroom for information).
works on the Hour of Code site everyday before school, after school, during
lunch and intervention.
brings his/her family to the Hour of Code/Club Showcase on Wed. - 6-7:30 pm.
works on the Hour of Code site on Thursday during clubs.
continues to work on Hour of Code through the weekend.
And the winner is…
The House with the most lines of code written
by Midnight on Sunday December 13th wins!
Free High School Dress Day
100 points added to House Points
A House Party!
Persistence
trying over and over again,
even when something is very difficult

Login info is on your House Google Classroom
If you have never used Code.org start with Course 2.
If you have already done Course 2, then
move on to Course 3.
