Rhetorical Analysis Of Cookie Or Cream

Rhetorical analysis: Cookie or Cream
This rhetorical analysis is about the Nabisco company airing a funny commercial during the Super
Bowl called "Whisper Fight." Nabisco shows that all 3 appeals do not have to be used in order to
create an effective advertisement.
The commercial starts off in a two–story library. Two students are seemingly studying at a table of
books. One of them holds up an Oreo and whispers to his tablemate, "Ive always preferred the
cream part of an Oreo." In a nonchalant whisper, the tablemate replies, "That's insane, the cream is
the best part!" From that moment a whisper argument starts. The two tablemates are whispering in
reply to each other, "Cream!" , "Cookie!", Cream!" As the whisper exchange escalates, one of them
finally stands up and flips the table over. Their aggression is noticed by others and the need to
partake in a rumble soon erupts. Soon, the whole library starts physically contending with each other
defending their opinion as to which part of the Oreo is best.
A chair is broken across another person's back, racks of books are being pushed over to create a
domino effect onto someone's body, librarians are dodging lamps being hurled across the library,
and people are wrestling each other off the second floor balcony. Even in the midst of all the
mayhem, everyone is still using their whisper voice. As a fire starts to break out from all the turmoil,

The Chocolate Cookies With A Sweet Cream
Oreos: beautifully simple. Two chocolate cookies with a sweet cream in between. The Oreo brand
has been loved by Americans for its entire 100–year history. The shelves of our grocery stores are
packed with them, and they fill our cookie jars. Whether by themselves, or with a glass of milk, they
are irresistible. What is it about these cookies that has captured our cravings? How has it become
such a big part of the cookie industry? It is, in fact, the industrial support of the Oreo that has
elevated the cookie to the position it is in now. The Oreo was first offered to the public on March 6,
1912(Bakery Network). They were manufactured by the National Biscuit Company (now Nabisco),
and became an instant hit. But this was not the first chocolate cookie sandwich. Chocolate cookie
sandwiches were a popular homemade treat since the mid–1800s, and the Sunshine Baking
Company's Hydrox had already been on the shelves for around two years. However, the National
Biscuit Company was much larger and stronger than its competitors. Formed from the merger of the
country's largest bakeries in 1898, the company was extremely modernized and was selling half of
America's cookies. National Biscuit, using an ad campaign, and its powerful production capabilities,
easily pushed the Oreo past Hydrox on its way to become one of the most popular cookies of all
time(Palmer).
One of the most beautiful things about an Oreo cookie is the name. It is so simple and catchy, a

Analysis Of ' Oreo ' The Nickname For The Heroine '
In Fran Ross' Oreo, the nickname for the heroine character serves as the ultimate minority as she
goes on a journey to find her absent father. With the primary focus on the Leaky Pipes at a
Philadelphia subway station, Ross questions if America is bifurcated or biracial through comparing
the movements of different passengers. Although Oreo is a combination of Jewish ancestry and
African–American lineage, this politically charged passage deals with the racial stereotypes
associated with Black and White Americans. Ultimately, Ross relies on dark humor to mock the
bigotry of everyday occurrences while offering potent social criticism. The broad depiction of
people on Philadelphia's public transit reveals who is superior and inferior with a satirical tone.
Focusing on the passage details, the repetition and rhythm in the narrative, characterization of racial
stereotypes, and idea of biracial identity offers an insight into the bifurcation of American life.
Rather than existing as the standard compartmentalization of racial identity, THESIS While
underground in Philadelphia's subway, Ross repeatedly uses word correspondence to establish an
entertaining atmosphere for the reader. The vernacular is strongly based on tempo, rhyming and
movement. Fran Ross offers humorous commentary on the White and Black passengers as they
struggle to avoid succumbing to the "irritation, humiliation, irrigation, and syncopation," caused by
leaky pipes. Furthermore, she restates the repetition

Racism In Oreo
When one mentions oreo, people would instinctively think of the cookie with creams dipped in
milk. However, to some, that is not what oreo means. In some cases, oreo is use to describe a color
person trying to act like a white person. That is not something one should describe a person or it is
not something that an individual would like to be call. Oreo is so commonly used now that people
are not fazed by it. Calling some oreo is an insult and disrespectful. They are also human beings, one
do not have the right to insult someone based on their skin colors. As everyone may know, racism is
a very popular topic among the community and should be taken into consideration to stop or prevent
it. Stopping racism is hard, but if everyone is taking a part in prevent racism from happening, then
the community will have lower the chance of racism. Calling a black person an oreo is racist, and
that is not something one should do to prevent racism. In fact, calling someone an oreo is promoting
racism and using oneself as an example of racism. According to Urban Dictionary, oreo have two
different meanings; one, oreo is made up of two chocolate cookies with a vanilla fillings, two, a
stereotype created by blacks to describe other blacks who acts like a white person (Urban
Dictionary). Most of the times, people will think of the chocolate cookies; however, some people
will think of something else not so sweet. According to Dennis Preston, professor of linguistic and
languages at Michigan

Inward Elements: An Analysis Of Nabisco
Inward Elements
Qualities
Shortcomings
Administration
1. High quality product reputation due to the Nabisco brand name and client dependability.
2. Oreo recipes are private/trademarked to Nabisco and have better taste than different brands.
1. Not barely characterized target market on the grounds that Oreos can be for any age gathering and
in this way it is hard to characterize a particular business portion. 2. Competes with other Oreo
brands, for example, Original or Vanilla, which might eventually prompt less Double Stuf deals.
Offerings/Product
1. Surely understood for its "turn, lick, and plunge" guideline and people enjoy/perceive this.
2. High client surveys and recommendations, which permits informal and user ratings online to ...

Dietary issues, high fat substance and calories, does not engage the rising wellbeing cognizant
portion.
2. Twofold Stuf is not accessible everywhere throughout the world and in all stores, while Original
Oreos for the most part are.
Advertising
1. Nabisco began a advertising program in 2008, promoting the utilization of Oreos in a diversion
called DSRL, or "Twofold Stuf Racing League," to draw in youthful eaters in a fun manner
(Vasquez).
2. Oreo has formed acquisitions with Dominos and McDonalds, among others to help build brand
name and deals.
1. Limited advertisements and promoting advancements online (just on Facebook and Twitter as of
late) as well as few TV ads. Spares cash on advertising, yet could conceivably be losing deals.
2. Plain bundling that doesn't "bounce out" at clients while in retail locations could lead a tyke (or
grown–up) to picking something more "attractive."
Money
1. Reasonable item for a nibble that endures a while, particularly family measure.
1. Restricted capacity to raise cost because of contenders' low costs, so must stay low to contend and
2. More esteem included through bundling and appropriation in light of the fact that it is shabby and
little.

The Oreo Cookie – 100 Years Old Tradition
Introduction
If you were a product, would you want to have your own website and 26 million fans on Face book
following your every move? That is exactly what has happened to the Oreo cookie. The Oreo cookie
was created in 1912 by the creators at Nabisco. The cookie has seen many ownership changes in its
life but has still kept the essence of its look and taste. According to Rosenberg (2014), there have
been over 360 billion Oreo cookies sold worldwide making it the best cookie sold in the 20th
century. It has been a mystery for over 100 years as to how Oreo actually got its name. There are

The embossed chocolate wafer has the brand name in the center of the cookie so no one would
mistake it for another cookie. The cookie is known as an Oreo Sandwich resembling a two piece of
bread with meat in the middle. The correlation is to identify the two wafers with crème in the middle
instead of an ordinary cookie. The crème is made from five main ingredients which include powered
sugar, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, vegetable shortening, and water. The nutrition facts per
serving consist of three cookies that have 160 calories, seven grams of total fat, 25 grams of
carbohydrate, one gram of protein, 55 milligram of sodium, and 140 milligram of sodium. The
serving size also contains six percent of iron. The original Oreo cookie has been transformed to
different colors and flavors. For example, you can now get the Oreo cookie in orange for Halloween,
red for Christmas, and winter white color for Canada. The cookie is also in flavors of vanilla,
chocolate, and mint. All of these fascinating facts about the original Oreo cookie explain how the
brand designed a cookie that is unique in taste and quality. The competitive advantage is that the
Oreo cookie has been around for over 100 years, sold in more than 100 countries, and has over 26
million fans on Facebook from over 200 countries. Not only is the cookie world renown, but having

Oreo Personal Narrative
Counting down the seconds, eager filled my body as I could not wait to get home to Oreo after
school. The basement door was left wide open, all the lights on, and my tiny legs flew down the
stairs, there was Oreo. Though he was just a giant stuffed dog, three o'clock would hit and I would
sit there with him until it was pitch black and my eyes started feeling heavy. As life brought new
challenges, I knew that Oreo would be there to listen to everything I had to say. As a kid, the house I
was living in wasn't always the same. Every few years, I was in a new state, new school, and
completely new environment. Each step of the way Oreo had my back. He was there for the tears
about silly things like when someone hurt my feelings, to hearing the news that I was going to move
for the 5, 6, or 7th time. Running into my mom's closet and putting on the highest heels, I would go
to wherever Oreo was in my house and model every shoe until I was content. It was the self
expression that allowed me to escape from the world of moving and the struggle of making new
friends. In my five year old mind, I thought that Oreo had the answer for everything and was the

Every morning the team concentrated on "what's trending and what's right for Oreo". And every day
was production day, with photo shoots involving real Oreos. All this had to happen very quickly.
Achievements:
The content created during this campaign was received very positively. As outlined on the Cannes

created 231 million media impressions, +2,600 media stories recognizing the rejuvenation and

History Of The Oreo Cookies
Do you know that yummy treat that goes great with some cold, fresh milk? Well, that treat is the
Oreo! I have always kind of wanted to know information about who invented the cookie, how many
Oreos have been sold, what different names the cookie has had, how they got there name, and what
kind of a different Oreos there are. In the year of 1912, the food scientist created, " America's
favorite cookie". His name was Sam J. Porcello. He recently died at the age of 76. Sam was
employed at Nabisco for 34 years which was the industry of the Oreo cookie. Sam also had 2 kids
and would go home after work and tell them all about his day. What he would do, where he would
go, and any of the struggles of the day. There are so many ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

It was actually one of the last. Here is the order of the names it went through. First it was called the
Oreo Biscuit in 1912. Then, it was called the Oreo creme sandwich in 1948. In 1974, it was called
the Oreo chocolate sandwich cookie. And then last, in 2001 it became the Oreo cookie. The "Oreo"
cookie has quite a different name and your probably wondering why it's called that. Nabisco took
words that describe the Oreos from different languages and put them together. The French word for
gold which is "or". They took the word gold because in the 1900's, the packaging was gold. Nabisco
also took the Greek word for mountain which is "oros". They wanted the word "mountain" because
it is a "Mountain of yumminess" which used to be the old slogan. What they first came up with was
a saying O–cream–O. One fact about Oreos is that more than 450 billion Oreos have been sold over
its existence. The Oreo was first introduced on March 6, 1912. The invention of the first Oreo just
turned 104 years old. When it first hit the market in 1912, it practically marketed itself. But to help
this industry grow, there have been many ads to spread the

Sales had been flat for the first five years of the 2000s and were in decline. "In 2007, Kraft Foods
China was an unprofitable, $100 million business that was not growing," noted Sanjay Khosla, Kraft
Foods' president of developing markets, in an interview published by the Boston Consulting Group.
Kraft was even thinking of pulling the product out of the Chinese market completely, due to poor
sales.
The company as a whole was performing poorly. This led to a shake–up of executive management in
2006, with Irene B. Rosenfeld installed as chief executive officer (CEO). Rosenfeld had previously
worked at Kraft for 22 years before leaving in 2003 to head Frito–Lay North America. In early
2007, Rosenfeld outlined a strategy to turn the company around that included product quality,
research and development (R&D), and acquisitions as critical to the future growth of the
company. Rosenfeld hired cutting–edge business leaders such as Khosla to help create the strategy
that would change the way Kraft Foods Inc. does business.
Fewer, but Larger Bets: Growth Through Focus and the 5–10–10 Strategy at Kraft Foods
When Sanjay Khosla left Fonterra Group in 2007 to spearhead Kraft Foods' business in developing
countries, he was tasked with discovering a way to realize the potential for growth in developing
markets that had eluded Kraft and so many other large, successful

The American Biscuit Oreo: Case Study
Oreos International
Overview
In 1898, through the merger of the midwestern American Biscuit Company, eastern New York
Biscuit Company, and the United States Baking Company, Nabisco was established. In 1941 the
company finally adopted the name Nabisco which was already a popular nickname for the company,
before then it was called N.B.C. The chairman of the N.B.C. was Adolphus Green, who emphasized
standardized products, all bakeries had the exact same recipes and standards of production. Through
this N.B.C. developed products that could be nationally recognized. All the merchandise is marked
with a distinct emblem, an oval with two bars across it. Which Green found in a medieval Italian
printers' mark catalog, which is said to represent the triumph of good over evil. In 1912 the first
Oreo was invented, which looked very similar to the one we enjoy today. How did Oreo get its
name? Some say it came from the french word for gold "or' which was the main color of the
packaging. Others say it was named from the Greek word for mountains, because of the hill–shaped
test version. Others say it was a combination of cream ("re") and chocolate (the two "o"s) creating
o–re–o's. In 1975 the company invented a new Oreo, the double stuff Oreo. Nabisco continued
creating variations of the Oreo, in 1987 fudge covered Oreos, in 1991 halloween Oreos, and in 1995
Christmas Oreos were invented. Since then over 362 billion Oreo cookies have been sold in the
United States. Oreo has become the

Both children and adult people like snacks.
The types of biscuits as snacks grow fast both in taste, packaging and form. Biscuit snacks have
wide market with market targets including children, boys and girls. The competition, therefore is
tight among the products of biscuit snacks marked with aggressive advertising by producers.
Investors are more interested in the market of biscuits for snack in the country.

Oreos Use Of Social Media In Advertising
Oreos Use of Social Media in Advertising
Oreo uses many strategies to appeal to consumers from different parts of the world. They take notice
of the way they promote, their packaging, and the ways they can grab attention from consumers.
Oreo does a good job marketing to consumers, which makes Oreos brand to expand. Oreo satisfies
the drive to hunger using viral social media techniques to advertise to consumers of all ages, but
mostly children and younger adults.
Oreo was first introduced in 1912 as Oreo biscuit. Up to this day Oreo has become the best–selling
cookie. Oreo was originally named Oreo biscuit, but was renamed Oreo sandwich in 1921, to Oreo
crème' sandwich in 1948, and finally became Oreo chocolate sandwich cookie in 1974. ("The Short
History of Oreo Cookies" n.pag.). Since its existence, Oreo was known as America's best loved
cookie, but today it is viewed as a global brand. When Oreo first existed, Oreo focused mostly on
the US market, which limited the growth opportunities. With the limited growth opportunities, Oreo
decided to expand its brand into fast growing populations and large economic groups. For Oreo to
expand its brand, Oreo had to target large populations: "With China and India representing possibly
the jewels in the crown of international target markets due to their sheer size, Oreo was launched in
1996" ("Smart Cookie" n.pag.). This marketing technique makes Oreos brand to expand rapidly,
which makes more consumers to invest in Oreos product

Doritos Vs Oreos Essay
My hypothesis was proven correct. The Oreos had the highest volume of fat extracted. The potato
chips had the second–most amount of fat, and the Doritos had the least amount. The extracted fats
from the potato chips and Doritos had liquid, translucent fats, whereas the fat from the Oreos was
more opaque and solid. Also, the extracted fat from the Oreos was the only kind that retained an
obvious smell. The other two had a much lighter scent. My experiment turned out the way it did,
because the Oreos had the greatest amount of fat extracted. Oreos seemed more fattening than the
other foods, so it seemed like it would also contain the most fat. I expected the Doritos to contain
more fat than they did, because they have flavors on them

Oreo Injustice
One evening after baseball practice, when pulling up into the driveway, my sister and I saw two
glowing eyes dash across the carport and onto our deck.
My little sister shouted while pointing, "Oh, look, Mommy. A kitty!"

snack. With a full mouth, I exclaimed, "It looffs lckk n oreao."
My mom yelled, "Don't talk with your mouth full; you'll choke!"
After swallowing, I replied, "The cat looks like an Oreo because of its black and white color!"
With an excited expression, my sister jumped out of the car and went straight for Oreo. She started
petting it and exclaimed, "It must not have an owner since it is at our house."

Wonderfilled Oreo Commercial
The Wonderfilled Oreo commercial portrays two worldwide known children stories with an alternate
happy ending twist. Oreo cookies are formed by cream centered inside of two chocolate sandwiches.
Throughout the advertisement, typed lyrics of the Wonderfilled Oreo Anthem were featured
continuously filling up the screen. In the animations, the audience can see an unrealistic
combination of friends which the real world portrays as unlikely. Some of the characters he uses are
memorable cartoon characters that at least half of the world has heard about in their childhood. In
detail, the commercial stars the historical children stories' characters such as the Big Bad Wolf and

This even applies to bad characters since it switches their negative moods to positive tempers. In
their original tales, the Big Bad Wolf and the blood–sucking vampire are morbid figures.
Throughout this commercial they are offered an Oreo cookie that changes their mood after being
devoured. Their mood meter goes from grumpy and mean to joyful and cheerful. Sharing an Oreo
with the morbid characters leads to a rather peaceful and happy ending to their original stories rather
than their gloomy and sorrowful endings. For instance, instead of huffing and puffing that ruins the
three little pigs' effort the Big Bad Wolf buys them cool stuff to decorate the deck that he helped
them build. Plus they survive, unlike the original story where they are forced to meet their tragic
end. The other historical children stories' character is the blood–sucking vampire in the creepy show.
He normally drinks blood, but after receiving an Oreo cookie he becomes thirsty for milk. Also,
there is a question of wondering whether the vampire would still act so undead or not after trying the
Oreo cookie that highlights the Oreo Company's wonder concept. The warm message is that any
horrific situation or day will work out alright after eating an Oreo

Personal Narrative Essay : My Family Camp
I decided to write about my family camp, this camp is for special needs (like for my brother). In
general that was the only the second overnight camp I've been to, so it was really fun. We did many
activities like fishing, kayaking and much more. At that camp I met many of my old friends that
been to that camp for the second time, we would have much a fun time together. In the afternoon we
would go sailing fishing and do campfires.
The worst part of this whole family camp is that we have to drive there. The drive was 3 hours long
but it felt like forever, I felt like throwing up because I have motion sickness, we stopped a lot
during the car ride for washroom breaks and to get candy. We finally arrived at the camp, some staff
led us to our cabin (cabin loon), we then listened to "sell the sizzle" (what activities there are the
next day, and we ate dinner. The next day I would see my friends that came last year. When the day
started, we did the activities we chose.
During break and bonding time my friends and I would do some fishing, sailing and swimming.
Something ridiculous we would do is that we would ask the staff if we were allowed to flip the
sailboat, and the staff would let us because they "knew for sure" it's not possible to flip. A reason we
were allowed to do these things is because one of my friends is the son of the nurse working there.
Back to the topic, every day when we went sailing, we would try to tip the boat over but only
manage to get some water in.

origin of the Oreo cookie is unknown. "Oreo has gone through many changes over the years,
initially going by "Oreo Biscuits," then "Oreo Sandwich," "Oreo Crème Sandwich," and "Oreo

of the word "Oreo" might be from the French word for gold because the packaging in the beginning

The Oreo Cookie And The American Biscuit Company
INTRODUCTION
Most people across the world have heard of the Oreo Cookie and have their own way they think the
cookie should be eaten. Whether a person is a one bite at a time, dunked in milk, twisted apart, or
the whole thing at once kind of person, the consensus is that people everywhere love to indulge in
these cookies. After the New York Biscuit Company and the American Biscuit and Manufacturing
Company merged in the late 1800's, the company became known as the National Biscuit Company.
In 1971, the National Biscuit Company began to call themselves Nabisco and in the year 2000,
Nabisco and the company known as Kraft merged. Through the years, the Oreo has seen some
changes, not so much in the shape or design of the cookie, but in the flavors offered. Such flavors
now include Double Stuff, Fudge covered, the color of the crème for the different holidays, and
Birthday Cake just to name a few. Since the creation of the Oreo Cookie, the Nabisco company has
sold over 300 billion Oreo's, which makes them the number one selling cookie in the United States
(Rosenberg, 2016). Since Nabisco is the largest producer of snack cookies and crackers in the world
and contributes thirty percent or more to Kraft's yearly revenue. Therefore, they are considered the
strongest anchor Kraft has in its entire company of operations. The Oreo Cookie is a good addition

Oreos, Coca Cola, Campbell's Tomato Syrup
Oreos, Coca Cola, Campbell's tomato soup, Honey Nut Cheerios, Hershey's chocolate syrup. What
do all of these things have in common besides being something edible?
Today I would like to inform you about artificial and natural flavorings. Although they may seem
different, one healthier than other; they are truly the same thing. I firmly believe awareness of
artificial and natural flavorings in food is a good idea as the FDA, or Food and Drug Administration,
does not require that all flavors in food be listed one by one. In fact, when your breakfast cereal says
flavors, it could mean one flavor or it could mean seven. So, let's take a look at what artificial and
natural flavors are and what the FDA says they must contain to be labeled under one or the other
title, how they are made, the possible health risks they can pose, and lastly, we will look at a
company many of you may never have heard about, the Flavor and Extract Manufactures
Association.
You may have read, that it's better to eat food containing natural flavorings rather than food
containing artificial flavors if you're going to eat them at all. However, are no health benefits

The Role Of An Oreo-Black
It would be impossible to count how many times in my life I have been called an Oreo. Whether it
was by my friends or strangers at school, it is a word that I have heard time and time again
throughout my childhood and teenage years. In response to this term, I have always laughed and
playfully denied it, but inwardly cringed at the statement. The slang term Oreo – black on the
outside, white on the inside (in terms of race)– is mainly used to describe African American men and
women who do not behave in a way that is commonly thought of as "black", instead behaving in a
way that is "befitting a white person". That is– not acting "ghetto" or "uneducated". These words
call into question the perception of the speaker on the role that race has

My Experience With My Own Life
There are personalities that come naturally, but many are nurtured through experiences one has.
Through my own life experiences from what I consider a decent, normal childhood into now a
happy grown adult. Many of my personalities have remained the same while other parts have
changed as has life changed especially since becoming a mother. Now, the experiences and

is describing it and their perception of how the events or things occurred.
When I think of personalities that remained the same throughout my life span of 31 years thus far.

  • 3. Rhetorical Analysis Of Cookie Or Cream Rhetorical analysis: Cookie or Cream Akeilao Canada Devry University Rhetorical analysis: Cookie or Cream This rhetorical analysis is about the Nabisco company airing a funny commercial during the Super Bowl called "Whisper Fight." Nabisco shows that all 3 appeals do not have to be used in order to create an effective advertisement. The commercial starts off in a two–story library. Two students are seemingly studying at a table of books. One of them holds up an Oreo and whispers to his tablemate, "Ive always preferred the cream part of an Oreo." In a nonchalant whisper, the tablemate replies, "That's insane, the cream is the best part!" From that moment a whisper argument starts. The two tablemates are whispering in reply to each other, "Cream!" , "Cookie!", Cream!" As the whisper exchange escalates, one of them finally stands up and flips the table over. Their aggression is noticed by others and the need to partake in a rumble soon erupts. Soon, the whole library starts physically contending with each other defending their opinion as to which part of the Oreo is best. A chair is broken across another person's back, racks of books are being pushed over to create a domino effect onto someone's body, librarians are dodging lamps being hurled across the library, and people are wrestling each other off the second floor balcony. Even in the midst of all the mayhem, everyone is still using their whisper voice. As a fire starts to break out from all the turmoil, a couple ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 5. The Chocolate Cookies With A Sweet Cream Oreos: beautifully simple. Two chocolate cookies with a sweet cream in between. The Oreo brand has been loved by Americans for its entire 100–year history. The shelves of our grocery stores are packed with them, and they fill our cookie jars. Whether by themselves, or with a glass of milk, they are irresistible. What is it about these cookies that has captured our cravings? How has it become such a big part of the cookie industry? It is, in fact, the industrial support of the Oreo that has elevated the cookie to the position it is in now. The Oreo was first offered to the public on March 6, 1912(Bakery Network). They were manufactured by the National Biscuit Company (now Nabisco), and became an instant hit. But this was not the first chocolate cookie sandwich. Chocolate cookie sandwiches were a popular homemade treat since the mid–1800s, and the Sunshine Baking Company's Hydrox had already been on the shelves for around two years. However, the National Biscuit Company was much larger and stronger than its competitors. Formed from the merger of the country's largest bakeries in 1898, the company was extremely modernized and was selling half of America's cookies. National Biscuit, using an ad campaign, and its powerful production capabilities, easily pushed the Oreo past Hydrox on its way to become one of the most popular cookies of all time(Palmer). One of the most beautiful things about an Oreo cookie is the name. It is so simple and catchy, a three–syllable word with ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 7. Analysis Of ' Oreo ' The Nickname For The Heroine ' In Fran Ross' Oreo, the nickname for the heroine character serves as the ultimate minority as she goes on a journey to find her absent father. With the primary focus on the Leaky Pipes at a Philadelphia subway station, Ross questions if America is bifurcated or biracial through comparing the movements of different passengers. Although Oreo is a combination of Jewish ancestry and African–American lineage, this politically charged passage deals with the racial stereotypes associated with Black and White Americans. Ultimately, Ross relies on dark humor to mock the bigotry of everyday occurrences while offering potent social criticism. The broad depiction of people on Philadelphia's public transit reveals who is superior and inferior with a satirical tone. Focusing on the passage details, the repetition and rhythm in the narrative, characterization of racial stereotypes, and idea of biracial identity offers an insight into the bifurcation of American life. Rather than existing as the standard compartmentalization of racial identity, THESIS While underground in Philadelphia's subway, Ross repeatedly uses word correspondence to establish an entertaining atmosphere for the reader. The vernacular is strongly based on tempo, rhyming and movement. Fran Ross offers humorous commentary on the White and Black passengers as they struggle to avoid succumbing to the "irritation, humiliation, irrigation, and syncopation," caused by leaky pipes. Furthermore, she restates the repetition ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Others say it was a combination of cream ("re") and chocolate (the two "o"s) creating o–re–o's. In 1975 the company invented a new Oreo, the double stuff Oreo. Sharing an Oreo with the morbid characters leads to a rather peaceful and happy ending to their original stories rather than their gloomy and sorrowful endings. For instance, instead of huffing and puffing that ruins the three little pigs' effort the Big Bad Wolf buys them cool stuff to decorate the deck that he helped them build. Plus they survive, unlike the original story where they are forced to meet their tragic end. The other historical children stories' character is the blood–sucking vampire in the creepy show. He normally drinks blood, but after receiving an Oreo cookie he becomes thirsty for milk. Also, there is a question of wondering whether the vampire would still act so undead or not after trying the Oreo cookie that highlights the Oreo Company's wonder concept. The warm message is that any horrific situation or day will work out alright after eating an Oreo ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 64. Personal Narrative Essay : My Family Camp I decided to write about my family camp, this camp is for special needs (like for my brother). In general that was the only the second overnight camp I've been to, so it was really fun. We did many activities like fishing, kayaking and much more. At that camp I met many of my old friends that been to that camp for the second time, we would have much a fun time together. In the afternoon we would go sailing fishing and do campfires. The worst part of this whole family camp is that we have to drive there. The drive was 3 hours long but it felt like forever, I felt like throwing up because I have motion sickness, we stopped a lot during the car ride for washroom breaks and to get candy. We finally arrived at the camp, some staff led us to our cabin (cabin loon), we then listened to "sell the sizzle" (what activities there are the next day, and we ate dinner. The next day I would see my friends that came last year. When the day started, we did the activities we chose. During break and bonding time my friends and I would do some fishing, sailing and swimming. Something ridiculous we would do is that we would ask the staff if we were allowed to flip the sailboat, and the staff would let us because they "knew for sure" it's not possible to flip. A reason we were allowed to do these things is because one of my friends is the son of the nurse working there. Back to the topic, every day when we went sailing, we would try to tip the boat over but only manage to get some water in. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 68. Oreo Research Paper The Nabisco "Oreo" is two chocolate crackers with a creamy white filling. According to http://www.cleverpedia.com/wont–believe–facts–oreos/, "Oreos were first manufactured at a factory in New York City in 1912, the Nabisco factory was in the building that is now Chelsea Market." The origin of the Oreo cookie is unknown. "Oreo has gone through many changes over the years, initially going by "Oreo Biscuits," then "Oreo Sandwich," "Oreo Crème Sandwich," and "Oreo Chocolate Sandwich Cookie" in the 1970s. Oddly, the core name remains a total mystery. The origin of the word "Oreo" might be from the French word for gold because the packaging in the beginning was gold, but no one knows for sure." Whether a person is a one bite at a time, dunked in milk, twisted apart, or the whole thing at once kind of person, the consensus is that people everywhere love to indulge in these cookies. After the New York Biscuit Company and the American Biscuit and Manufacturing Company merged in the late 1800's, the company became known as the National Biscuit Company. In 1971, the National Biscuit Company began to call themselves Nabisco and in the year 2000, Nabisco and the company known as Kraft merged. What do all of these things have in common besides being something edible? Today I would like to inform you about artificial and natural flavorings. Although they may seem different, one healthier than other; they are truly the same thing. I firmly believe awareness of artificial and natural flavorings in food is a good idea as the FDA, or Food and Drug Administration, does not require that all flavors in food be listed one by one. In fact, when your breakfast cereal says flavors, it could mean one flavor or it could mean seven. So, let's take a look at what artificial and natural flavors are and what the FDA says they must contain to be labeled under one or the other title, how they are made, the possible health risks they can pose, and lastly, we will look at a company many of you may never have heard about, the Flavor and Extract Manufactures Association. You may have read, that it's better to eat food containing natural flavorings rather than food containing artificial flavors if you're going to eat them at all. In a BBC article on artificial flavors by Chris Baraniuk, synthetic organic chemist Derek Lowe states that, "The thing is, banana can be mimicked most of the way with a simple compound called isoamyl acetate. Many chemists know it as 'banana ester' and anyone who smells it immediately goes, 'banana!' • 76. The Role Of An Oreo-Black It would be impossible to count how many times in my life I have been called an Oreo. Whether it was by my friends or strangers at school, it is a word that I have heard time and time again throughout my childhood and teenage years. In response to this term, I have always laughed and playfully denied it, but inwardly cringed at the statement. The slang term Oreo – black on the outside, white on the inside (in terms of race)– is mainly used to describe African American men and women who do not behave in a way that is commonly thought of as "black", instead behaving in a way that is "befitting a white person". That is– not acting "ghetto" or "uneducated". These words call into question the perception of the speaker on the role that race has ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Oreo is three months old and he is the size of my two hands put together. Oreo is a spotted mini Rex (I think because he is so small). All it said on his certificate is that he is a spotted Rex. Some people have seen him already and they instantly fell in love with him. Oreos Story: When I got him he was a beat up. He had scabs on his ear, behind his ears in the middle where it comes together by his neck, on his back, and some hair loss on his feet. Oreos whiskers were all messed up and jagged too. I got Oreo because it is easy for rabbits to get depression and Benny has no one to hang out during the day. But, when I brought him home Benny gripped onto him and ... I ended up purchasing a Russel Stover Marshmallow covered in Chocolate then, I gave my dad five dollars and the marshmallow. After that, I went out to the car so I could go by Oreo. Later on, my brother came in with a SHOTGUN! A SHOTGUN! (I think) Then, we went home and Oreo was cuddling with me and I made a terrible decision. I put Benny by Oreo. Benny started humping him and it hurt Oreo and it scared him. So I put Benny in his cage and let Oreo roam by himself. A few moments later I had called the pet store and they suggested that Benny should get neutered or we should get a second cage. So we called Petco and we were on our way. While all of this was happening Oreo was right next to me. At moments he fell asleep. We got a cage and the employees wanted to pet him and they died of awe. Then, we got Burger King and Oreo started ¨purring¨ (yes I realize he is a rabbit). I think the purring was caused by him being hungry. When we got home I quickly walked into my room and set up his cage. Now he is living happily in my room and I hope it will stay that ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Through my own life experiences from what I consider a decent, normal childhood into now a happy grown adult. Many of my personalities have remained the same while other parts have changed as has life changed especially since becoming a mother. Now, the experiences and personalities I'll further describe are from my viewpoint and if you ask my friends or family members their opinions it may change slightly. As a viewpoint is only depicted from the person who is describing it and their perception of how the events or things occurred. As far back as I can remember knowing I have had a positive outlook on life where I always found the good in something no matter how bad the situation was and consider it my most prized part of my personality.
