3. Double Page Spread Plan:
Images
ā¢ The images I will use will be of an artist called
āNickiā that I will create for the magazine. She will
also be the artist that features on the front cover
and in a smaller box on the contents page. There
will be a set of 5 images going down the right
hand side of the double page spread, they will
overlap each other slightly. One of them will be
bigger than the rest and will be in the top right
corner. All of the images will be tilted to give the
pages a fun feel, making it seem informal and less
serious to the audience.
4. Double Page Spread Plan: Artist and
Interview
ā¢ The artist will be called āNickiā and is supposed to
be an American in her twenties.
ā¢ She will feature on the front cover to show the
audience who the magazine will focus on that
month. There will be a quote from her interview
on the front cover to give the reader a hint as to
what she will be asked.
ā¢ On the contents page the reader will be directed
to an interview with Nicki where they can read
about her music and her upcoming tour.
5. Double Page Spread Plan: Question
and Answers
ā¢ There will be 7 questions all together as having
too many questions means the reader will get
bored after reading a few, especially younger
audiences.
ā¢ The questions will be based around the artists
music and her upcoming tour. They will also
contain humour to keep the readers interested.
ā¢ One of the questions includes a reference to āOne
Directionā. They are also from the teen-pop genre
which means the reader of the interview may
actually be interested in reading about them too.
6. Double Page Spread Plan:
Interview Questions
1. Are you pleased about how well your single has done
since you released it?
2. How long will you be in the UK for when you tour? Will
you do some sightseeing?
3. What do you think about one direction, we saw the
photos of you and them at the EMAās recently?
4. Are there any songs that didnāt make the track list on your
album?
5. Do you ever get annoyed at the thousands of comments
that people leave on everything you post on the internet?
6. What artists do you listen to other than your own music?
7. When will you announce the dates and venues for you
tour?
7. Double Page Spread Plan:
Interview Answers
1. Yeah, Iām really pleased! I was so happy when I woke up
and found it had got to number 1 in the UK charts. This is
why I have decided to kick off my tour in the UK, so I canāt
thank you all enough for listening to my music!
2. I will be doing around 30 dates in the UK leg of the tour
and with this being my first time touring in the UK I will
definitely do a bit of sightseeing, especially in London! I
want to get to know my fans and where they come from, I
think the UK is going to be a lot different to America.
3. [laughs] When I met them they seemed really down to
earth and fun. They are all the best of friends and are
genuinely nice people to be around. I canāt say Harry is my
favourite, they are all equally cute!
8. Double Page Spread Plan: Interview
Answers
4. Yeah [laughs], there are loads and loads. I have them all in a play list and
Iām waiting for the right time to release them. People will lose interest if I
release hundreds of songs all in one go and then follow with a massive
length of time with me doing nothing. Maybe I will sing a couple on my
tour just to put them out there.
5. It doesnāt really bother me because I know they are off people who really
mean them! I do sometimes get annoyed at the negative comments
because to be honest, if you donāt like it donāt look. I love the nice
comments because they make me feel good and I know that some people
do appreciate my music.
6. I donāt ever listen to my own music, I think I would be too critical of myself
if I did [laughs]. A lot of the music I listen too is older stuff like The Beatles
and The Rolling Stones. I do like to listen to Katy Perry and Lady Gaga from
time to time too, I think they sound amazing.
7. I will announce the tour officially at the beginning of next week and the
dates and tickets will be released the week after that. I cant wait to kick
off the tour here in the UK and yes it will of course be a stadium tour! How
exciting! [laughs].
9. Double Page Spread Plan:
Language
ā¢ The language will be slightly informal, as though they
interviewer and the interviewee are just having a
normal conversation. This is because the audience is
quite young and I want them to read the interview as
unserious and fun.
ā¢ Humour will be used to keep the audience from getting
bored half way through reading the double page
spread. Humour will also be indicated using ā[laughs]ā
to help the reader interpret the tone of the
conversation and to show that what the artist or
interviewer said was meant to be funny.
