5. The Blue sky with the clouds makes it seem like
he is in the clouds almost like god.
The world on a string makes him seem like he
is powerful and is a puppeteer controlling the
world.
His clothes suggest he is just a random
ordinary person on the outside.
The use of props and setting supports the idea
of a powerful main character.
6. The dark rusted colours with the sun light
shining onto one side of the helmet makes the
image seem double sided with a good and bad
side like good and evil.
The helmet seems to be in a steampunk kind
of style and is the only thing visible other than
some chains hanging in the top right corner of
the image.
The chains themselves make the scene seem
like it is inside like in a workshop or a prison,
they also seem to symbolize freedom.
The person who owns the armour could be
making it themselves or someone who has
bought the armour or stolen it.
The word Fallout gives connotations for
nuclear winter and apocalypse and the
lightning bolt gives connotations of energy,
where as the close up of the helmet gives
connotations of fear and is intimidating
The helmet gives off military overtones.
7. Bright colours show that there is a lot of
energy to the environment.
The logo has stars in it so it shows that it is set
in space.
The characters lined up is similar to other
comedies so that shows it is a comedy.
Most of the characters are wearing futuristic
outfits, this shows that it is a sci-fi.
The third character looks like a robot because
of the way his head is oddly shaped.
The fourth character is wearing a bright gold
suit making it seem futuristic because you
would never see someone wearing a gold suit
in our era.
The second character is wearing modern
clothes so it makes him not fit in with the rest
of the crew with scruffy hair and the fact that
most of his clothes don’t match.

be end, beginning, middle.
• Non-Linear Narrative Film Example
– Scott Pilgrim vs. the World (2010)
17. Clip Analysis
• The darkness clashes with the glow of the red
lightsaber and makes it seem really evil, also
the silhouette of Darth Vader on the fire
supports this.
