3. What Is Camden
• The Camden markets are a number of adjoining large retail markets in
Camden town near the Hampstead Road Lock of the Regents Canal often
collectively named "Camden Market" or "Camden Lock". Among products
sold on the stalls are crafts, clothing, and food. It is the fourth-most popular
visitor attraction in London, attracting approximately 100,000 people each
weekend
• The complex of Camden Market is composed of six distinct sections. Due to
the popularity of the markets, visitor numbers increased so much that Camden
town station restricted Sunday afternoon access to incoming passengers only
in order to prevent dangerous overcrowding of the narrow platforms.
5. The advantages of Camden
• This location is known for its modern and alternative themes. It’s a popular
London tourist attraction and therefore is relatable for the audience as they
are going to recognise the area immediately and they will be able to envision
the desired romanticism of London and Camden in general.
• Another reason for Camden being a popular choice for filming is due to the
general tone and feeling of the area being modern and different, this
therefore means that its fits the current ideal of a music video and especially
fits the EDM genre as this style of music in itself is a subculture and
therefore it needs a location that reflects that.

7. Lighting, Colours and Setting
• The Mise En Scene aspects of Camden really lend themselves to a music video. The
lighting is natural and therefore the outside location gives it a realistic feel but the
cookie false lighting of surrounding shops makes the video also appear surreal and
therefore it reflects the confused and damaged emotions of the protagonist.
• The colours of the area are bright and bold but still have a classical London edge to
them. They are therefore evoking emotions for the audience and make the video
more visually exciting
• Finally, the setting is ideal as the busy main part of Camden compared to the empty
and simple side streets and surrounding areas means that filming can be unlimited
and a variety of locations adds to the professional feel of the video.

9. Disadvantages of Camden
• One problem that we may face within Camden is the reality of its known
dangerous location. The area is heavily populated and therefore the chance
of crime happening is also heightened. To prevent this, during filming we
will ensure that we have minimal equipment with us and we will remain
within a group throughout the process.
• Another issue that we may face is the heavily populated area may lead to us
not being able to effectively spend our time filming worth wile shots as well
as not being able to zone pedestrians out of the video. We may have to
choose a time filming when we know the location may be emptier.
