2. LYRICS
• “Don’t be so hard on yourself”, these lyrics are the
reason why we linked the song to a sporting narrative
with the use of the GB flag. Therefore this story is rarely
seen within the music industry as the song is about the
success of the 2012 Olympic games.
3. TO INSPIRE THE YOUNGER
GENERATION
• With using a sporting narrative we are aiming to inspire
our demographic audience to become successful by
portraying the artist for being ‘down to earth’ and have a
sense of normality in comparison to the rest of the music
industry.
4. LOCATION
• When we first chose to use the Olympic Park we wanted
to have a narrative that is related to the location or
otherwise it would not suit the music video if the
narrative had no relation to the 2012 London Olympics.
5. TARGET AUDIENCE
• The influence of the 2012 Olympics impacted all
audiences which is also another reason why we used the
Olympic theme as we wanted to target a wide
demographic audience on a global reach scale through
the Olympic themed video.
6. THE FRENCH FLAG
The reason why we are using the French flag is to pay
tribute to the French attacks in Paris on the 13th November
2015. Through the use of these flags we are celebrating
Anglo French relations by including both flags throughout
the music video.
