2. •We got audience feedback through a number of different
questionnaires/surveys throughout the research and planning
period of our production piece. We used this audience
feedback to get an understanding of what our audiences’
favourite type of music was as well as, letting us know what
they think should be in a pop music video. When we
conducted our questionnaires we received feedback
explaining that our then idea for a music video for Wheatus’
“Teenage Dirtbag” was too similar to the original music video
for the song, this feedback then forced us to rethink the song
choice and idea for the music video. After this we ended up
choosing “Locked Away” by R City and Adam Levine, so
audience feedback is important as it lets you know what the
audience want and think which in our case allowed room for a
more creative music video which wouldn’t be criticised for it
similarities to the original.
How we got our audience
feedback
4. After uploading our production piece on to YouTube
and our blog we asked our fellow students to view
the music video and fill out a questionnaire to see if
they understood the meaning of the music video,
which proved positive. As well as this, we learned
that if we advertised our music video in specific
places it would allow our music video to be seen by
the specific target we created our music video for
which is after conducting research is young people
in the UK, this audience would be able to see our
video on our blog and YouTube.
