1. Summer Term 26th
June-7th
July.
Dear Parents,
Activities we will be doing in Preschool:
Looking at our butterflies and releasing them into the garden. We will
also be watching a new batch grow as the previous ones got a bit
overshadowed by the chicks!
Singing our rhyme of the week/term, ‘There’s a tiny caterpillar on a
leaf’ (sung to the tune of ‘She’ll be coming round the mountain…’
Having obstacle courses in PE and outside, encouraging the children to
move in different ways e.g. balancing, crawling.
Activities to do at home with your child:
Look in the garden or park for butterflies. Ask your child if they can
remember how the butterflies changed from caterpillars.
Encourage your child to make marks in a variety of ways. If it is dry
outside get the water and paintbrushes out, let them chalk on the
patio, or maybe let them paint (on paper!) outside.
Notices:
On Friday 21st
July (last day of term) we will be having a sing-along
followed by a short ‘stay and play’. For morning children this will be at
11.15am. For afternoon children this will be 2.45-3.30pm. The session
for the children begins at the normal time; parents (one only per
child) are invited to join us at the later time. If your child does not
usually attend on a Friday you are invited to swap this for one of their
other sessions during that week. Please ask if you are unsure about
these arrangements.
Please check www.childcarechoices.gov.uk for information about
applying for 30 hours funding. It is time to act and get ready for
September if you will be using this entitlement.
