Activities we will be doing in Preschool
The children have been listening to the musical story of Peter and the Wolf
by Prokofiev. This week they will listen to the story again with a range of
instruments to represent the different characters in the story. This will
encourage them to listen carefully and distinguish between the different
pieces of classical music being played.
In the creative area the children are exploring colours by mixing different
colours together and adding black and white to make the colours darker or
lighter.
Activities to do at home
Listen to different types of music with your children. At Preschool the
children enjoy listening to a range of music such as classical, jazz and more
popular modern pieces. Let us know what music they like at home.
Talk to your child about how to make different colours. See if they know
what red and white make, or red and yellow, etc. Bring in any colourful
pictures you and your child have done together.
Notices
Please put suncream on your child before bringing them into Preschool.
There will also be a hat box in the parent’s area for you to put their sun
hats in.
Don’t forget that next Monday the 4th
of May is a Bank Holiday so
Preschool will be closed.
