3. Age
Here we see that the teenage generation enjoy watching our music video and also
are easier to appeal to as well, as they listen to a lot of music video. This meant that
they were who we are trying to sell our music video to the most. We needed to
make sure that we had something that represented them a lot, this is why we had
two arti8st that where in that age range to appeal more to the younger audience
however we still took in consideration that we still and a few audience that were
older than 17. This meant that through our storyline we wanted to make sure that
they were included as
5. gender
As seen in the survey Female are seen to be the more dominate respondents to our
music video, this could mean that they enjoy more soft POP than men, however
our male response went up by one, even though it is a little increase it does show
that we have sparked a minor interest, I think that if we had kept the survey for
longer we could have gotten more responses from males as well. This could also be
because of the topic of the song, woman are stereotypically more drawn to soft
POP songs than men so they relatively enjoy watching and listening to them a bit
more.
7. Favourite genre
Through our survey we saw very mixed interest in genre, however in the end, POP
genre came out to be more popular this shows that POP genre was something that
youth have been more exposed to, meaning higher chance of them enjoying and
wanting t watch our music video. However they also enjoyed RNB as well, which
had fifteen votes as well as other answers which consisted of KPOP and British rap.
This shows that audience were very diverse when it came to music and did not just
stick to common music genre. However, this meant that it would be harder to
meet our audience expectations as they have a variety of music genre they liked to
enjoy. Because of this we lost some of our audineces.
9. Genre we picked
Through the genre we picked we can see that a majority of people could tell that it
was a POP song. This meant that we had elements that were known to our
audience that screamed out POP to them. This could infer that they did enjoy
watching our music video, and felt like the music video ticked of a lot of boxes
making them find it interesting to watch as it appealed to them a lot.
12. What do you like in a music video
Here we get to understand what in particular our viewers liked and expected to see in a
music video if they wanted the artist to want them to continue watching, her we can see
that narrative was the most important out of all. Coming in second was chore,
performance and seeing the artist. Unfortunately we did not have any choreography in
our music video however it was heavily narrative based. Even though we had
performance it was very lacking this is seen in the slide before as when we asked what
they wanted to see more of a lot of them said that they wished to see more
performance, and it was heavily dominant meaning that our it was were we lacked in
and could an improvement for the next time we film. However I think that we
succeeding in showing out narrative very Cleary and well. However what surprised us a
lot was that a lot would have liked to see a plot twist, I think that if we had in
cooperated that question in our foist survey we would have able to give what our
audience wanted more clearly.
14. Platform
I think that it was very obvious what platform was very dominate to listen to music
in, which was YouTube, however we wanted to know where else our audience
enjoyed to listen to music just in case we were unable to upload onto YouTube,
that they di don't miss out the music video. Therefore I think this question helped
us develop an understanding that YouTube may be the biggest but is not the only
place theta audience can go and enjoy listening to music.
16. Ratings
We had the original music video of Dusk Till Dawn ranked to see if people enjoyed
it, however they was a lot of negativity towards the music video. However when we
had showed our music video we had gotten excellent reviews with most rating git a
four our five and no one rating it below three. This showed that they enjoyed our
music video more than they enjoyed the original music video. This showed that we
had more appeal and interest to our audience compared to a more professional
standard music video. This could mean that our audience enjoy something that
they can relate to or can part take in.
18. preference
We wanted to appeal to both male and female, therefore we added a male and
female artist, we wanted to see what audience more enjoyed and to our
acknowledgment they enjoyed both male and female this was excellent feedback
meaning that we could really appreciate our audience responses and link directly
to what they wanted.
20. What do you not want to see in a music
video
A lot of people said that they did not want to see anything sexual between both
sexes. This was something that we took in seriously as our two artist are very young
and it would be very inappropriate to show such profanities sending out negative
messages to our audiences. This however was what we were glad to hear form our
audience as it means that we were both on the same page.
22. Do you think all POP songs are about love?
Through our survey we saw that a lot of people had mixed feelings what the POP
genre actually contains and it is still a mystery of the set mood of POP however our
music video was based on love and waiting for the person you truly loved, this is
why this was very important to us to find out what people thought. This way we
had a small idea as to what our audience expected.
24. What nationality is least likely to appear in
a British POP
Our original idea was to incorporate the Turkish community as they are a minority
Pop culture as a whole, however because of some minor difficulties we had to
change our idea and have minority of ethnicity which was our female artist, thus
mean that we still made sure to have someone who is not widely represented
through the POP community.
