Who would be the audience for your media product?
Demographics
 Primary target audince
age: 15/19
gender: female
finical income: working part time in retail of waitressing. In
time education (secondary school/collage). As a result of this the
target audience will have little income or minimum wage.
 Secondary target audience
age: 15/19
Gender: males
When constructing my magazine pages I taken theses factors into
account as it is important that I meet the needs of the target audience.
One of the ways I did this was the magazine only distributing monthly
issues as the target audience might not be able to afford a regular
magazine.
Physiographic
 Primary target aududince
They will considered as a socialite, they enjoy spending time with
peers. They will be considers trend setter by there fellow friends as
they could be fashionable. They will like to read fashion magazine as a
hobbies. This could be a link they made to the my magazine as it has
some similar formats. They will like to shop in high street shop such as
Topshop etc. They will like to listen to music on a daily basis and the
will even attend gigs and concerts. However they will fall in to a niche
target audience as they proffered not to engage in mainstream music.
such as pop and R&B. they will like to stand out and have individuality.
The target audience will aspire to be like the artist on the cover as they
could idolise her.
 Secondary target audience
Males will find the main artist attractive and will want to find out more about her.
Also they could like to listen to there music. Additinally people who read
magazine like Kerrange and Mojo will want to read as they ar distrubited by the
same company of Bauer media
Focus Group
I used a social net working site to make a focus group so I can understand the
target audiences views on the overall look of my magazine. I felt this was important
as that I got feed back and I would understand the areas I could improve on.
