Audience
Kerrang! Has a range of audiences
because there is a range of rock
genres which the magazine discuss in
their articles. Pop punk such as Bring
Me The Horizon and You Me at Six
will attract teenagers mostly because it
is music that can feature in the charts
but other rock music such as metal
including bands such as Motorhead
and Metallica this would mean that
the magazine could also appeal to
older fans because rock music has
evolved and changed so much over
the past few decades.

Heat is a British entertainment magazine
and as of 2004 it is one of the biggest
selling magazines in the UK, with a
circulation of over half a million. Heat was
launched in February of 1999 as a general
interest entertainment magazine at a cost of
4 million pounds. After a serious of
revamps the magazine became a less
serious, more gossip-oriented magazine
and circulation quickly grew. A series of
high-profile celebrity relationships, such as
Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt proved
ample material for the magazine while
reality shows grew popular just at the right
time to help fill the pages.

other women’s magazines. It also

Therefore those interested in the film
and TV industry might be attracted
towards this publication meaning that
the magazine may have a minor
secondary target audience by
