Job Profile
As an Internet marketing manager for eBay Australia and New Zealand,
you will be responsible for maintaining and operating Internet marketing
campaigns for eBay Australia and New Zealand across different
channels such as Paid Search, Display, Affiliates and Partnerships while
monitoring and optimizing the performance of Natural Search.
Jobs Purpose
A special focus will be on Paid and Natural Search so we encourage
candidates that have expertise particularly in those areas to apply but we
expect candidates to be familiar with all other areas/channels too.
Operating, budgeting, reporting, and most of all optimizing marketing
campaigns will be central to your role.
Responsibility/Activity
Share accountability for meeting Internet marketing team’s aggressive revenue and efficiency
targets.
Create channel-specific strategies and work plans, including tangible KPIs
Develop and manage all operational components of Internet marketing campaigns including
budgeting, briefings, creative development, internal relationships, media planning and buying,
agency management, and monitoring and optimization in collaboration with eBay’s International
Marketing team.
Innovate around technologies, tracking and new media and creative formats together with eBay’s
International teams.
Identify opportunities/issues that will improve/impact marketing effectiveness.
Design and conduct tests to identify high value opportunities for optimization.
Monitor test performance and analyze test results.
Share results and impact of testing with the team.
Understand and follow industry trends in Internet Marketing.
Regularly liaise with internal and external business partners to ensure a good rapport and share
insights.
Monitor Natural Search performance and drive improvements in that area together with eBay’s
international Marketing team
Work in conjunction with our analytics, product management and product development counter-
parts. For example, help figure out what is the best landing page experience for a paid search
experience.
2. Candidate Profile & Qualifications
In order to be successful in this role you will beTertiary qualified (Marketing, Business or
Communications), and in addition you should have between three and five years’ experience inInternet
Marketing.
You will also possess the following skills and attributes:
Highly organised and able to function well under pressure;
Strong project management skills;
Excellent written, communication and presentation skills;
Flexible, open, a real team player;
Highly analytical with a strong quantitative skill set and ability to self-educate
Extensive use of MSExcel
