2. About the company
LG Corp. founder Koo In-Hwoi established Lak-Hui Chemical Industrial Corp. in
1947.[3] In 1952, Lak-Hui (pronounced "Lucky", currently LG Chem) became the first
Korean company to enter the plastic industry. As the company expanded its plastic
business, it established Goldstar Co. Ltd. (currently LG Electronics Inc.) in 1958.
Both companies Lucky and Goldstar merged and formed Lucky-Goldstar.
Goldstar produced South Korea's first radio. Many consumer electronics were sold
under the brand name Goldstar, while some other household products (not available
outside South Korea) were sold under the brand name of Lucky. The Lucky brand
was famous for hygiene products such as soaps and HiTi laundry detergents, but the
brand was mostly associated with its Lucky and Perioe toothpaste. Even today, LG
continues to manufacture some of these products for the South Korean market, such
as laundry detergent.
In 1995, to compete better in the Western market, the Lucky-Goldstar Corporation
was renamed "LG", (the abbreviation of "Lucky-Goldstar"). The company also
associates the letters LG with the company's tagline "Life's Good", which is actually
a backronym. Since 2009, LG has owned the domain name LG.com.
In 1996 LG formed a joint venture with IBM; it was later terminated.[4]
On 1 April 2000, LG Chemical was split into three separate companies, namely
LGCI, LG Chem, and LG Household & Health Care. Later, in July 2007, LG Chem
merged with LG Petrochemical.[5]
Since 2001, LG has two joint ventures with Royal Philips Electronics: LG Philips
Display and LG Philips LCD, but Philips sold off its shares in late 2008.[6] In 2005, LG
entered into a joint venture with Nortel Networks, creating LG-Nortel Co. Ltd.
On 1 December 2012, comScore announced that LG was the third largest mobile
manufacturer in the US, with Apple overtaking them to second place. [7]
LG has owned the LG Twins baseball club in Seoul, South Korea, since 1989.
The company logo of LG features the letters L and G, presented in the form of a
smiling human face

4. Parameters
After mentioning product details then we have to decide on the parameters such as
what is the source for the customer data, from where the customer data has been
retieved . Then we have to set the parameter for the follow up types , that how we
should approach a customer , how the follow up should be done .
Enquiry list
After setting the parameters the next step is to maintain the enquiry list which consist
of the details of the customer , includes customer name, contact person , address ,
telephone number . email id , source that will define from where the lead of the
company has been generated, the actual source of the customer will help the
company to understand from where the customers are getting information about the
company and the product . it will help the company to do better CRM.
5. Follow Up details
In this company includes when & where the customer should be followed up. The
exact time can be mentioned here, so accuracy can be maintained.
6. Enquiry closure
This will help to create the track of the order or enquiry that the lead has actually
turned into sales of the product or not. It will finally help to analyze if the customer
has not purchased the product then what can the reason.

10. The 10 Best Customer Relationship
Management (CRM) Tools
Good customer relationship management software simplifies and automates contacting your
clients: most provide you with a clear record of what your past communications have
included, as well as making sure that you and anyone you work with are on the same page for
each client. Some CRM software even lets you send out automatic emails or newsletters.
There are several desktop CRM software packages, but many of them simply aren’t
comparable to web-based applications. Desktop CRM software often requires synchronizing
and has limited usefulness if you aren’t at your desk. In contrast, many of the online options
even provide you with the ability to access information from a smartphone as well any
computer with an Internet connection.
1. BatchBook: The features provided by BatchBook make it an ideal CRM solution for
anyone already using web-based applications. You can synchronize contacts between
such services as Freshbooks, Mail Chimp, or Shoeboxed as well as standard email
services. You can email directly from BatchBook as well as assign tasks related to
individual contacts to your team.
2. Bantam Live: If you use social media in connecting with your customers, Bantam
Live makes it easy to see your contacts’ updates on LinkedIn, Twitter, and other sites
on the same page that you can see the results of contacting them.
3. Zoho CRM: CRM grew out of managing sales and marketing efforts and you’ll find
the CRM tools necessary for large-scale efforts in Zoho CRM (e.g., integrated
inventory management) so that you can quickly complete sales.
4. Buzzstream: For users who rely on CRM software for contacts (such as PR
representatives), rather than clients, Buzzstream can provide a tool better suited to
those specialized needs. Among other features, Buzzstream allows you to add a new
contract as you’re browsing online — if you find a blogger who might cover your
company, for instance.
5. Sugar CRM: Sugar CRM actually offers several different CRM tools, which happen
to be open source. While Sugar CRM is not free, it’s extremely adaptable, allowing
you to easily create custom modules as well as add external data.
6. Salesforce: One of the best known online CRM tools, Salesforce was built with sales
in mind. It provides features useful for a sales staff, like the ability to easily access
contact information through an iPhone while you’re out of the office.
7. Bizroof: A relatively simple tool, Bizroof provides a free CRM application that
handles basic contact management as well as scheduling-related events and tools. You
can setup a Bizroof account with multiple users.
11. 8. Highrise: 37signals developed Highrise — as well as the well-known project
management tool, Basecamp. Highrise as a particularly easy-to-use interface, just like
37signals’ other products.
9. Free CRM: With a focus on automating communications and sales, Free CRM is
geared towards smaller businesses. It’s available both in free and premium versions
— but the differences between the two versions are major. At the very least, the
premium version is far more secure than its free counterpart.
10. Relationals: If you use email or telemarketing campaigns to promote your business,
Relationals is an ideal tool — it allows you to track the success of the campaign as
well as tweak and improve it for the future.
