Year 13s Advice
Be organised,
Keep on top of all your work so you don’t leave it all to the last minute and your
work be of a lower quality than it could have been,
Put your blog up for an activity as soon as you finish it,
Practise editing before you start your real coursework so when you start the real
coursework you know what you are doing,
Chose a location that fits with the video and tone of the song,
Try to film in one day because if you film for more the lighting or elements in the
location might of changed,
When your filming make sure no one is in the background,
Get as much footage as possible so you have a choice when going to edit,
Plan your shots before you get to the location,
Get shots with varied angles,
Show as many people your work to get as many opinions on it as possible and
ways to improve,
Be able to take criticism as it will help improve your work to a higher standard,
Try to get as much work completed in lessons and study periods to reduce you
doing it at home and procrastinating,
When filming make sure your equipment is ready to film to make sure you can get
as much filming done in one day e.g. phone battery on 100%
