3. TITLE OF
PRODUCTION/PRODUCTION
OUTLINE
My Mental Endorphin- Endorphins are hormones that are released
when your body feels pain or stress. They are produced in your brain
and act as messengers in your body. Endorphins are produced to help
relieve pain, reduce stress and improve mood.
I have chosen this title for my project as It is majorly based around my
mental health, and ways that I can work around my problems when I am
not doing the best. The way that I cope with my problems is by going to
the gym, and the gym sets off a lot of happy endorphins which makes
you a lot happier, and when you are stressing out your body sets of
endorphins to make you feel better. So, I have named my project âMy
Mental Endorphinâ as the gym gives you endorphins, and it is about my
mental journey and how the gym helps me.
4. LOCATIONS
For my final project I will be using the gym as my main location, but I
may use other locations for when I am directly talking to the
camera/audience. The limitations I may have, is that there may be days
that I canât go to the gym as it may be closed, busy, or because I may
not be able to travel to the gym due to the distance from where I live. I
will manage these limitations by going to my locations with other
people who may be able to help with transport and will be able to do it
at times where it might be later in the day as it tends to be quieter at
them hours. If this doesnât work out, I will use other locations, this may
consist of places in my house, garden, or the general outdoors where I
can workout and film what I am doing. The cost isnât a problem as I
have a membership at the gym and so do the people I will be going
with, the only costs that will be in place will be the transport which
shouldnât be a lot of money as the distance isnât too far for my crew.
The weather also shouldnât be a problem as we will be always filming
indoors throughout the project, unless there is an issue where I may
have to film due to the location Iâm using being closed or busy, which
shouldnât be the case with the times that me and my crew are planning
on going. All of this is manageable and planned out in case there is an
issue at all throughout production.
5. EQUIPMENT
I have booked out equipment such as a camera, tripod, microphone,
etc. if I am unable to use this equipment then I will record my footage
from my phone as I have tested it out and it turns at well due to the
quality of the camera, I will record the audio separately, but I will
mainly be using audio for when I am talking to my audience outside of
the gym in my own space telling them how Iâm feeling, what my plan is
and what I will be doing as well. When editing my footage I will be
using software such as adobe premier pro to create my final piece so
that I will be able to present it to others with it being a high standard
of work.
6. FACILITIES
I will be editing all my footage at college on there computers as it has
the right software to format my footage and creates good quality work.
If I am unable to do all of it at college then I will use my home laptop to
finish my work and make my final piece of work. In past projects and
FMPâs, I have been successful with getting my editing done on time at
college and have not needed any extra time doing it either at college or
at home. I have adapted well to the editing equipment, and I have also
produced a good plan of what I want my project to look like, so it
should be relatively quick and easy to get it all done. If I am for some
reason unable to both use the college facilities and my home laptop,
then I will also be able to use places such as my local library or my
friends equipment as I know they have the software that I am in need
of.
7. PERSONNEL
Declan Green- works a lot, hours are mixture so may be unable to help
during production a lot of the time which may delay production. Their
strength is that they can transport us between locations and is good
with camera equipment when it comes to getting the footage.
Jessica Green- also has work, but also has college so hours are limited,
good with audio equipment and can use other equipment such as
cameras and shoulder rigs.
Niamh Iveson- can do interview. Is also able to help with audio
equipment and the camera and this will help to gain satisfactory
footage and audio.
Dan Richardson- can also do the interview. Is well trained with camera
equipment and audio equipment, so will lead to getting a good
outcome of footage and audio.
10. CONCEPT BOARD
DISCUSSION/EXPLANATION
My concept board mainly shows images of the gym which is the main
concept of my project, including the impact it has on mental health. It
uses bright colour's throughout all the images which is the theme I am
going for as I would like my project to be relatively happy while also
including the serious of mental health problems and the impact that
working out has on it. I would like it to be similar to a webpage video
(YouTube document/video). Although mental health problems are not a
happy topic all the time, I would like my project to be happy related as
going to the gym sets off endorphins, which makes you happier and
more joyful, and it lasts for quite a long time.
11. For this shot it will be a short
introduction or piece of footage
talking about my mental health
and how going to the gym has
affected me in a positive way.
For many parts of my project I
will use short clips of me
working out at the gym. This
will be throughout my project,
and mainly at parts when I am
talking about the gym.
There will be different shots of me
working out on a range of different
equipment at the gym. It will show
my strengths and weaknesses and it
will use a range of shots and angles
for each piece of footage used.
I will also film some pieces of
footage in a different frame, this
is so I can lay them next to each
other and have multiple shots
playing at the same time.
For this shot I will be talking
about my mental health and the
bad things that have happened to
me in recent events.
In this shot I will be talking about
what I do at the gym, the positive
effects it has on me and how I feel
about it.
For this shot I will be finishing
up the project and talking
about how I am at the moment
and how I am coping with my
mental health and the gym

Situations Problem Actions Further Actions
Camera battery may run
out
This means we may be
unable to gain any
footage as the camera
wont work.
Bring a battery charger,
or charge the battery
before going out to film.
Book out an extra battery
in case the first one is to
run out of battery.
The location we are going
to may be closed due to
issues they may have.
This means we are unable
to gain the footage we
needed from that
location, and has created
a delay in production.
Make sure we have a plan
B location that we can go
to film other pieces of
footage for the final
piece.
Plan ahead and make
sure the location will be
open, if not, go to a
similar location that is
accessible and can film
the same footage, or
similar.
Other crew and cast
members may be unable
to show up due to
complications.
This will create a delay in
the production period
which could delay a lot of
other sectors that need
completing.
Create a plan of what
days everyone can do so
that we can plan certain
days in the weeks that we
can all come together and
film.
Get backup cast and crew
in case someone is
unavailable or drops out
of the project.
May lose footage that we
have got.
This means we are
behind on production
and will need to go back
and get the footage again
Backup the footage to
multiple devices so that
you have it on multiple
platforms and will be
