The Importance Of A Special Education Teacher Essay
As I read the book Nothing Is Inconsequential I learned many things that made me think about my own life. There were so many things Dave went
through to get to where he did. He had to jump through many hoops to get through college. This made me think about my own experiences when I
came to Wilmington College myself. When I first came to the college my focus was to become a specialeducation teacher, but that did not happen. I
had to change my whole path and go into social work. Which bothered me in the begging, but once I thought about it for a while and really started to
get into the material I knew it was what I was meant to do. I still get to work with kids as a social worker. It will be a little different, but I know I'll
be able to have an effect on m community just like Dave. He did so many things with all the schools he either taught at or was the principle. He
changed many communities around that he went to. Especially when he merged two schools together. He knew when he did it that he would lose
his job, but he knew it was best for the kids. I know that when I am in the field of child welfare that I may have to take kids out of their homes
because of the way they are treated or the family is not stable. It will be hard at first, but I'll know it's the right thing for the child.
Being part of the community was one thing I thought Dave did very well. He was always there for everyone and wanted everyone to be a part of his
life, especially with his car museum he had.

Chain Of Fools Analysis
Chain of Fools was released in late 67' and was recorded in Atlantics' New York Recording studio. It was produced by Jerry Wexler, and engineered
by Tom Dowd. Signature elements to the song include Joe Souths signature guitar playing, the Muscle Shoals Rhythm section and Aretha Franklins
powerful vocal performance. Drums: My drum rerecord feature a mono overhead, a kick out, snare bottom, a close room and a far room mic
placed in the kitchen outside the studio to amplify the size of the space. The song features a very dry drum sound, but features a spacious reverb
layered on top. This is possibly a plate or chamber reverb that was used on the other tracks in the song. Claps were also added and hard–panned to
replicate that of the song.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For the vocals, there was a lack of presence due to the use of less exciting preamps and vocal mic at home, a much softer performance, and a lot of
frequency content above 10 kHz (possibly due to the Rode mic used, as well as the modern stock preamp on my home interface). So an eq was
used to match the vintage vocal sound on the recording. Whilst the song was released in both mono and stereo, the stereo version features a use of
LCR panning which includes bass & keys panned to the left, and drums and lead guitar panned to the right. Light saturation and distortion has been
added to the vocal parts to provide the dirt and thickness found on the song due to the hardware initially used. Aretha was quoted by producer David
Isaac as one who could 'work the mic,' moving back and forth to control dynamics organically. This was compensated with some compression on the
rerecorded vocals. The drums in the initial recording are punchy, tight and have a low end thump to the kick and the snare. This was mostly due to
the tuning of the drums, as well as the performance on the recording. However for where I couldn't get the sound right, I used EQ to darken the snare,
and added a mix bus compressor with a hard knee to emphasise the punch of the

The Music Industry : Jessie James Essay
Jessie James established her on–stage persona through her music which has a sensible combination of pop rock and country singing. At a very early
age, she has already demonstrated her musical talents and later continued to explore the possibilities of becoming a celebrity. Aside from singing, she
also starred in her own reality TV show and has dabbled in other creative industries including fashion and makeup. To date, Jessie James continues to
astound the music industry, proving that big things come in small packages.
Born Jessica Rose James in Vicenza, Italy, the young Jessie was already showing potential at the tender age of two. With her parents as her
audience, her vocal prowess was discovered with her mere use of a toy microphone and tape recorder. She won her first singing competition when
she was nine when she sang "I Want to Be a Cowboy's Sweetheart" during a singing contest in Baker, Louisiana. During this time, she has already
been composing her own songs using a plastic guitar. Soon after, the young talent was discovered and she had a taste of what it was like to perform
in a large audience. Her first notable appearances were during the opening of Sea World as well as the Republican Convention.
The following years in her teenage life were quite tough. She continued to create her own music and went to see if she can receive deals among
country labels in Nashville. She was 17 when she caught the attention of Carla Wallace of Big Yellow Dog Music. Her song, "Gypsy

Dancing For The Rhythm Of Underwood 's Heartbeat
Dancing to the Rhythm of Underwood's Heartbeat
Storyteller by Carrie Underwood is one of her best albums yet. She is a phenomenal singer who won American Idol back in 2005 and has not left the
top since. Although Underwood went from nobody to the top extremely quick, the media still portrays her as being level headed unlike many other
celebrities. Her debut album Some Hearts was declared the best–selling album of 2006 in all genres. Underwood is the most successful of any Idol
winner and is also the only country artist to have his or her first five albums all reaching first or second on the Billboard 200 chart. When she released
Storyteller in 2015, I had nothing but high expectations from this magnificent vocalist. In the Storyteller album, Underwood shows her passion for her
life through her songs. She does this with catchy beats and memorable lyrics that share her stories to listeners through her music and does so very
successfully.
The album Storyteller is performed by country artist Carrie Underwood and was released on October 23, 2015. Mark Bright, Zach Crowell, and Jay
Joyce produced this album. This album has thirteen songs and is approximately 46 minutes long. Storyteller's target audience would be mostly young
adults and older teens but can be enjoyable for many others including all country music fans. Underwood's Storyteller is generally positively reviewed
and has been nominated for country album of the year. This is definitely an album to remember.

A Short Story : A Story?
I see the sweet, alluring flowers in the crammed valley. The raw herbs itch my legs, satisfying my pleasure with bliss. Picking from the sticky weeds,
I find a handsome blossom and add it to my assortment. I glance to the town as the people worship me with the joys of Spring. I grin in satisfaction
and love.
As the day grows old, I sigh in content. My delight and basket overflow with hard work. My legs covered in bug bites and cuts from the overgrown
grass. The once white dress is now bitten by the meadow. I swallow the heartbreak as the sun hides, but smile when I remember how tomorrow will be.
Unexpectedly, I feel a shiver through my spine. The rolling hills shift in temperature. I break to the golden gates of home. The carefully chiseled
arches stand tall, unafraid of the sudden bleak climate. I tremble with uneasiness and wish my dress can swallow me.
''Persephone!'' a deep rumble trails behind me.
The ground wobbles in horror. I swivel around quick and get light headed at the sight in front of me. Ascream would never exit my body, it froze in
dread. There stood the devil, King of the Underworld, Hades.
Hades palm crashed against my arm. My frigid skin felt foreign to his burning hand. I hiss in pain and discomfort. I know nothing good can ever
happen out of this. Why was he here? I thought. A hard tug made my shoulder blade burn. I tremble as he starts to open his mouth.
" Come with me, Persephone." his mouth closes in a hum.
I finally grab my courage.

Personal Narrative Essay: Kaila Didn T Cry
Kaila loved plays and musicals. She had been in them ever since she was able to walk and talk. She was now in 7th grade. It was a Monday
morning and she was on her way to get her audition sheet for the fall play The Wizard Of Oz On her way, she bumped into someone. Kaila tripped.
"I"m sorry" she said, turning to see who she crossed paths with. It was Vivian. Vivian was a girl who despised Kaila, and Kaila despised her back.
Kaila had been in plays with Vivian before, and she always does anything she can to embarrass Kaila. They became like this over a simple boy in the
4th grade. And it turned into an endless war. As she was trying to apologize, she saw something that made her jaw drop. Vivian had an audition sheet
for the play. "Watch it!" Vivian said, wiping her hair back. Kaila jumped.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

especially the curtain opening and closing. Kaila wanted it all to shut up. Kaila saw Mr. Oak come over. "Hi Kaila, are you ready to practice?" he
asked. "I guess" Kaila murmured. "Well, here is your script, you can have it for the first three weeks of practice, now come on, we're ready to
start!" Mr. Oak said as her got Kaila out of her chair. As she was walking backstage, she thought about "The Magical Rose" and how Vivian ruined
it for her. Then, Kaila got an idea. What if I did the same thing to Vivian! Kaila rushed backstage and got ready. Kaila and VIvian stood on stage.
They started to walk upstage. Vivian pretended to open a door. "Oh Toto!" Vivian said. "I don't think we're in Kansas any

Vivian's foot, and she fell to the floor. "Oh! are you ok?" Kaila shouted looking concerned. Vivian's face turned bright

Personal Narrative Fiction
Hi. You all seem pretty interested in me, or at least I can only assume so since you're all letting your eyes rest on me as I sit here on your desk.
Some are even touching me and quite honestly, I feel a little violated. That's besides the point. I'm gonna tell you how a lemon like me got here on
your desk. It all started at the top of a lemon tree– but not just any lemon tree. This lemon tree was on Venus. Some may argue that life is only
possible on planet Earth, but here I am. I was a lonely lemon on the vast, barren planet. I spent my days hanging from that branch hoping and
praying for an escape. I knew there had to be something beyond my tree in Venus. It had been there two years when I decided that I had to be my
own hero. A storm was brewing again (it was an everyday thing) and I saw my chance to flee. The wind was strong and the clouds were thick as
usual. A gust blew and I swung from the branch that I had called home for so long with everything I had. Within seconds I was free. I rolled and
rolled and rolled until I couldn't roll anymore. I was hoping I would roll to the edge or find something. Nothing. I saw nothing. Just the same old...

I thought my hardships were over when I was told about the most bizarre, morbid thing I'd ever heard of: lemonade. Apparently you humans drink
my squeezed innards and find it enjoyable. In fact, there's a popular saying that goes "when life hands you lemons, make lemonade." I would really
like to have a word with whoever came up with that because I don't know what they could have against a wonderful fruit like a lemon that could
make them want to mercilessly murder them for their own pleasure. Anyway, from there we were sent to a factory, washed and had stickers stuck on
us. Then, we were placed in bags and sent to this placed called Wal–Mart where I met even more lemons. Who would've thought there was so many
fruits just like me,

The SanterГѓВa Religion and South Florida
SanterГa is a newly recognized religion within the United States. Many Americans who practice more traditional religions, such as Catholicism, and
Judaism, find the practice of Santeria very odd and quite obscure. The preponderance of our society feels that the practice of animal sacrifice,
prevalent in Santeria, is immoral and possibly offensive. One reason for this reaction could be that there is a major lack of understanding of this religion
in our society.
Many people that do not practice this religion automatically assume that the religion is some sort of horrible cult in which people simply slaughter
animals. In interviews with people that live near the LukumГ BabalГє AyГ© Church, published in TheMiami Herald, terrible remarks have ... Show

In one situation, a man living near the aforementioned church states, "I don't like the idea of animal sacrifices; that should have gone out with the
Middle Ages. If my dog disappears, I'll know where he's gone" (May 1). This statement shows how people assume problems with the church, without
respecting the rituals practiced by the followers. Ernesto Pichardo, the president of the LukumГ BabalГє AyГ© Church, replies to that man's remark by
saying, "If the dog is missing, please don't blame us. We certainly don't use pets" (May). According to another disgruntled church neighbor, "I'm gonna
bitch like hell, if it starts to smell over there. We'll call the Health Department" (Morcate).
Based on the previous statements, one can see that many people in the community have almost hostile opinions towards the practice of this particular
religion. For one, when Hialeah City Council president, Herman EchevarrГa, first learned about the church back in May of 1987, he said, "I'm not the
type that interferes with anyone's religious beliefs as long as they don't hurt anybody else. I'm not crazy about [SanterГa] either, but if everything
they're doing complies with the laws and ordinances or the city, I'm not one to go out and protest or make waves about what they're doing" (May).
This is the type of response that many of the open–minded people in the community give when asked about their views on SanterГa. The major

The Night
Castle woke up with bleary eyes and a dull headache. He had been up late writing and couldn 't even remember when he had went to bed last
night–probably sometime early this morning. Beckett had awoken quite a while ago, judging by the coolness of the sheets, and had let him sleep a bit
longer. He shuffled into the bathroom, turning on the light, and squinted at the in"tensity of the brightness. Definitely had a headache. As he washed his
face he felt a bit of stubble and made a mental note to shave.
Making his way into the kitchen, he was greeted with the sight of his girlfriend flipping pancakes and the smell of coffee brewing. Filled with
happiness at how comfortable Beckett seemed in his home (that he hoped would soon be their home), he hugged her from behind with a dopey grin on
his face.
"Morning beautiful," he murmured in her ear.
"Morning to you too," she said, turning to give him a quick peck on the lips. "Help yourself to some pancakes. I 'm just about done." Lost in his own
little world, castle did not notice the quirk of her lips or the mischievous glint in her eyes.
Castle sat down on a stool at the island, making a smiley face on his pancakes with whipped cream and Beckett joined him, placing a cup of coffee
beside his plate. He grinned at her, looking a bit like the face on his pancakes. He looked quite adorable and Beckett felt almost guilty for what she
did to his pancakes. Almost. With a look of absolute bliss Castle finally took the first bite of his

The Meaning of Water in the Poem Blessing by Imtiaz...
To start with, the theme of the poem is that water is a necessity to life and is a precious gift. This gift is known as a "Blessing". To begin with, there
is a lack of water in which the poem takes place. Imtiaz starts the poem off strong stating right away how "The skin cracks like a pod" (1). Human
skin becomes dry and cracked when it is not moisturized. A pod is useless when it is dries up and becomes fragile because of the deficiency of
water. The pod links to human skin because water keeps the skin hydrated and helps the body function. In addition, the villagers in the poem value
water. When the municipal pipes explode, "silver crashes to the ground" (9). To the villagers, the water shines like silver. The villagers worship the

By adding in onomatopoeias, the reader is able to hear the sound of the water as it rushes and crashes. Therefore, the poetic devices that Imtiaz uses
have a tremendous purpose throughout the poem. Last of all, "Blessing" by Imtiaz Dharker represents the period of the poem written in nineteen
eighty–nine, which is post–modern. First and foremost, temperatures were sweltering. In fact, the hottest day was on April seventh with a high
temperature of forty degrees Celsius (WeatherSpark Beta). This connects to the poem because it deals with a hot country where dehydration is quite
normal. Since the poem takes place in the slums in Mumbai, India, "There is never enough water" (2) for the villagers to consume and the great
degree of heat causes more problems to their health. Adding to that, the humidity was high. June to September were the stickiest months (WeatherSpark
Beta), which led to thirst, and the skin cracking "...like a pod" (1). In fact, with a daily average low humidity of seventy–eight percent, August was the
most humid month (WeatherSpark Beta). The weather conditions of Mumbai itself were described as reasonably hot with soaring levels of humidity
(Climate of Mumbai). All of these situations link to the poem because the villagers need water when the weather is hot and sticky to keep their bodies
hydrated and functioning. Undoubtedly, the period when the poem was written relates back to the

Can't Remember a Time Without I-Tunes Essay
It's difficult to remember a time without iTunes. To many people, especially to the younger generation, iTunes has always been a part of people's
lives. When it launched on April 28, 2003, iTunes was set to forever change the world of music and technology (Griggs & Leopold). When it first
started, songs were available for instant download for only ninety–nine cents and albums for less than ten dollars. ITunes changed the way music was
distributed and marketed. With the release of iTunes, music consumers could now download music digitally with the click of a button. Consumers no
longer had to leave the comfort of their home to buy or listen to a song or an album. Before iTunes and digital music, consumers had to buy a complete
album or ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
With iTunes, consumers instantly get what they want, which is a perfect fit for our technological culture today, but the emotional experience of buying
music has been shattered.
Because of iTunes, consumers have become more private listeners. Every song and album sits directly in front of each consumer. Listeners buy the
songs they personally want and place them on their own portable music players. They listen to the songs by themselves as a private experience
(Griggs & Leopold). Consumers do still share music, but do not engage in the social experience that existed before iTunes and digital music. Today,
listeners share music by sending song files to each other or posting music on social media sites completely taking the shared and social aspect out of
music. The shift in behavior from enjoying music as a social experience to listening to music as a personal experience has changed culture and society.
Today's world is all about the individual. People want things for themselves and they want them now. ITunes helped in changing culture and society to
be this way by making songs and albums available instantly to each person. With iTunes, people can get the music they want instantly and are
encouraged to listen to music as a more private experience.
In the time of records and even CD's, there was no way to sell or buy single songs. ITunes transformed music by marketing single songs instead of full
albums.

Literary Argument On Willy Loman From Death Of A Salesman
Researched Literary Argument on Willy Loman from Death of a Salesman
"Death of a Salesman" by the author Arthur Miller revolves around one family and the troubles they are facing due to growing older and becoming
senile. Willy Loman was born on May 13, 1889, and in 1949 when the story is set, he was 60, this is during post–WW1 America, this was a different
time with different social cues and norms that will be evident throughout the story. Willy's ambition is to take part in "theAmerican dream" and strike it
rich by the sweat of his own brow. The kind ofsuccess Willy is looking for is not merely being able to provide for his family but having people know
who he was what he was about and what a great character he had. Once Willy starts lacking the success he is used to he becomes disconnected with
the world and this is when his senile tendencies start to show these things hint at a deeper medical problem; things like having flashbacks to when he
was happy and satisfied with his performance and the still unsquandered potential of his progeny.
At a certain point in life once you've been beaten down and stepped on you will reach rock bottom, although not enjoyable, once there the only
progression is an improvement to your current situation. Willy has a hard time facing the music and accepting what is inevitable. this manifests itself
in the story through willy's inability to stay grounded in what's happening in the current moment, his mind always wandering to a time in which

"This is so surreal" I stood gazing at the ornamental door at the end of the hall. Like everything else it's covered in fake gold, faintly glistening from

Stamkos Case Study
According to a report, Tampa Bay Lighting is not willing to offer a contract offer to soon to be superstar free agent Steven Stamkos that is worth
more than $8.5 million a season. Both sides have been trying to figure out a new deal for quite some time now; Stamkos is set to become an
unrestricted free agent on July 1st. In 77 games played last season, Stamkos recorded 36 goals, 28 assists with a plus minus of plus 3. Stamkos
played a huge roll in the Lighting success last season; producing good numbers and helping out on the power play before he suffered a broken tibia
making him miss a handful of games. Despite missing a good amount of games in the regular season, Stamkos came back in the playoffs playing in

The basic concept of yield management in the hotel industry is that during periods of high demand for the hotel rooms the prices are set at the highest

Christopher Edwin Breaux Research Paper
Christopher Edwin Breaux was born on October 28 1987 in Long Beach, California. When he was about five years old, his family moved to New
Orleans, Louisiana. When Breaux was young he would go around doing neighborhood chores to earn money to rent studio time to work on music he
was creating. The first type of music he was exposed to was through his mother's CD's of Celine Dion and Phantom Of The Opera. After Hurricane
Katrina hit in 2005, Breaux moved to Los Angeles to continue working on music where he earned a songwriting deal and began writing music for
artists such as Justin Bieber, John Legend, and Beyonce. In 2009, he changed his name to Frank Ocean and joined a hip–hop collective group named
Odd Future and met Tyler The Creator, a rapper,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This is most noticeable in the song "White Ferrari" where Ocean sings in a rhythm that sounds almost identical to the popular song "Here, There, and
Everywhere" by The Beatles. The album starts off with "Nikes," a slow, hypnotic song, featuring high pitched vocals from Ocean, and a very dreamy
sound, somewhat creating a mood for the rest of the album. The next songs, "Ivy" and "Pink and White," are polar opposites about love, where in
"Ivy," Ocean talks about how he failed to keep a relationship going on, and in "Pink and White" he sings about intimate love and good long–term
relationships. The album also contains skits like "Be Yourself" where Frank's mother leaves a phone call for him telling him not to consume alcohol,
not to get in the car with someone who has consumed alcohol, or is impaired by smoking marijuana, and a skit called "Facebook Story," about a man
who lost his wife because he didn't friend her on Facebook. Although short, this skit has a powerful message: social media can and will destroy
long–built relationships with somebody you love.
The highlights of the album come from songs like "Solo," a gospel influenced song with somewhat of an Adele influence. "Godspeed" is another
heavily gospel–influenced song where Ocean proves strong his abilities as a singer with a very strong vocal performances and a basic piano
instrumental. (It should be recognized that gospel–influenced music was

Analysis Of Matthew Brooks Treacy And The Relationship...
In this essay I will be comparing "She," by Matthew Brooks Treacy and the relationship with his mother to my relationship with my father, and the
lessons taught through experiences that occurred. My father taught the concept of moral obligation, in a similar fashion to Traecy's mother teaching
him to use his hands, through errands, that influenced my decision to make ethical decisions throughout my life. First off, moral obligation, in this
essay, can be defined as an obligation to act in good faith because it lies within your personal values. In other words, it can be your reasoning for
making a morally right decision. Treacy's mother greatly influenced him and the way he makes decision throughout his life. He recalls his mother
saying, "If you go a day without using your hands, you die" (39). He calls this "..a principle that influences the way I do things" (39). Furthermore,
he goes on to explain that his mother "..always used her hands" (39). You can notice the significance of using hands in the family. It was a lesson
deeply engrained in Treacy. A lesson he will always remember through his mother. After all, our parents are responsible for teaching us some of our
greatest lessons. Indeed, my father is responsible teaching me an excellent lesson that still holds strong to my beliefs today. I absolutely hated the
process, which was a childhood filled with chores, but in the end, the chores weren't so bad and believe it or not I was eventually doing them without

How My Life Has Changed My Outlook On Life
Did you ever think that your life could change from one minute to the next? I sat on the couch waiting for the news that would change my outlook
on life. I had a pit in my stomach before there was even news to tell. I knew this news was coming for a long time, but I did not know how. My world
was going how any 15–year–old would want it to go. A lovingfamily, nice friends, and all the free time in the world. What I did not know was that
was all about to change. I was laying on the couch with my head buried deep in the cushions. Almost like that would shield me from the news I was
about to receive. Goosebumps started to appear on my arms and tear drops rose in my eyes. I heard the door knob turn, and I knew my mom was
home. Picking my head up from out of the cushions, was like picking up a boulder with my bare hands. Before this point in time my life was basic.
There was six people in the room when the news was dropped. Each person was on the edge of their seat already anticipating the news my mom was
about to speak. We all sat in the living room which could comfortably fit all of us. However, this time was different. All the seats were filled with
heavy hearts. My mom said "guys, I have something to tell you". Seconds following that statement my Mom–mom broke down into tears. Seeing
someone you love cry really pulls on your heart. The silence told it all. Something tragic has happened to our family. The living room that held six
people was terribly silent. My mom ended

Overview Of The Baron Armand De Valfort '
When I opened the door, in front of me, stood the Baron Armand de Valfort. At least, it was the name I read on the card he handed me with a prompt
gesture, unintended to be aggressive, nor demeaning. He appeared forthright, knowing what he wanted, and his deportment reflected authority and
confidence. The Baron was a middle–aged man, and 'middle' could have applied to most aspects of his physiognomy. He wore gold–rimmed spectacles,
anchored on the bridge of his strong hooked nose, below which, shined fleshy lips. The cut of his elegant clothes showed in every couture, the mark of
a rich Paris tailor's hand."You are Captain Walter Morsirisse, n'est–ce pas?" he said, with a flat voice, while his dark brown eyes stared at me through his

the Baron de Valfort had taken the trouble to consult me. The two bare sentences making up this short message looked straightforward, and devoid
of mystery. "I'm sorry," I said, "but, from what I read, I'm unable to help you. If you owe money to this... this S.V..., simple! Pay him!" "Pay

One Direction : How Did One Direction Start?
How did One Direction begin? It all started in 2010 on a TV singing show in the UK called Xfactor. Five individual guys audition not knowing
what the next couple of weeks will bring. Season 7 started off and all five members Niall, Zayn, Liam, Harry and Louis kicked it off by going to
boot camp. Through boot camp they had to learn how to dance and team up with other people to go to the next round. They all had difficulties dancing,
but Zayn had it the worse to where he wanted to quit and Simon Cowell convinced him otherwise. At the end of boot camp, they were all sent home
crushing all of them. As they were about to leave they were called back with another set of girls and were told they'll get a second chance as a band.

"PRAY FOR ZAYN GIRLS THEY NEED IT." (Schwartz) While everyone was still in shock, the other four continued on with the tour and finished it
out. Later the four of them released an album called Made in The A.M., that was good, but not the same without Zayn. In January, He released his first
single as a solo artist it was called Pillowtalk which was a hit, then he dropped his album in March called Mind of Mine. The remainder of the group
decided to take a "break" and do solo things in their life now. "Many months after Zayn had scored a chart–topper with
"Pillowtalk," Irish singer Niall Horan became the second 1D vocalist to reach the highest region as a solo man. His first cut under his own name, the
One Direction–soundalike "This Town," made it all the way to No. 9 in the U.K., while it peaked slightly higher in his home country, stalling at No. 6.
Recent follow–up single "Slow Hands," which sees the singer going in a sexier direction, has yet to grow to its full potential." (McIntyre) At the end
of 2016 Louis released his first single and dedicated it to the passing of his mother on the finale of Xfactor.

Who Is Derek Bogaard Unethical
Imagine getting paid $6.8 million for a 4–year contract to beat up people in the ice rink. This is what Derek Boogaard's contract is worth with the
New York Rangers. In a New York Times article, Derek Boogaard was the most feared enforcer standing 7 feet tall on his skates. His job was not to
play, but to fight others in the ice rink. He was known as the boogeyman. He could shatter a nose or jaw with a single punch. At the height of his
career, he earned millions of dollars. During enforcement in the ice rink, Derek Boogaard and other enforcers incur many head injuries due to
constant fighting. As a result, they developed CTE, Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy. Derek Boogaard died at the age of 28 on May 11, 2011, of a

advise Plaintiffs... of that risk, but willfully and intentionally concealed material information from, and misled, Plaintiffs concerning that risk; and
that the NHL recklessly endangered Plaintiffs." The NHL should've warned Derek Boogaard of the risks of neurodegenerative diseases but they
intentionally concealed it which caused Boogaard's death. The NHL has many specialists and with their resources, they should've been able to
collect better data regarding player injuries. As such, they should've done a better job of educating the public and players. However, this is wrong
because Derek Boogaard did not tell the NHL about his pain, yet he still played no matter what amount of pain he felt. The NHL had no idea what
Derek Boogaard was feeling, so they could not identify many of the symptoms that would lead to a neurodegenerative disease. Instead of seeking
help, Derek Boogaard would manipulate the system to get himself extreme amounts of drugs from the team doctors. In addition, he spends thousands
of dollars on illegal painkillers. No matter what data the NHL has on neurodegenerative diseases, if Derek did not tell the truth, the NHL would not be

The Evil of 1889
I could hear the water running from the shower when I came in the front door. "That's strange," I said. I dropped my keys and my yellow Star of
David on top of the fridge and headed up the stairs. The bathroom door was ajar a few inches and water was streaming out. As my fingers reached
out to push the door open the small hairs on my back stood to attention. It was too late; the masculine hand was already on me. I endeavored to pull
the hand away from my blanch face, but I had already sank into his arms. It was cold. I woke up trying to free myself from the metal brace. I
screamed for help merely hearing an echo from the damp air. I searched in the darkness for a way out, when all of a sudden a flash of light
appeared. I tried to find the source when a familiar voice called out, "Are you comfortable, Leah? Would you like something to eat?" "Who are you?
What do you want from me?" "What an incorrect reply. Let me rephrase that. I didn't kidnap you but I just borrowed you." In shock I said, "Borrow
me! You can't borrow a human. Are you a lunatic?" "Hahaha, young lady you should never call a noble man a lunatic. You should know of the
consequences." The light shut and a sound that resembled electricity was heard nearby. This time I listened very closely. The sound kept getting louder
and closer. "Ahhhhhhhhh!" My body was twitching, my hair smelled burnt. I was in an electric chair. The light turned on again. Trying to lift my head
towards the light, the voice came back.

My Personal Statement On My Life
Once I'd made my list it took me a while to become willing. Just as doing anything about my drinking or my character defects, my willingness to
make proper amends only came when I was hurting, when I was disturbed enough to become willing to do something about it. That my drinking,
character defects and harms done affected other people was no prompt to get me into action. I became motivated not because an amend was due but
because I was hurting. Am I selfish, self–seeking and self–centred? Yes you betcha.
However in saying that there was one amend I wanted to make straightaway though looking back, now that I'm trying to work the Programme, it wasn't

Today I make my amends to her by respecting her wishes to stay away from her door. Another example of an amend done for the wrong reasons and
in the wrong way was one I did out of guilt for harms done to my brother, happily joined up with feelings of superiority towards him – I wasn't
drinking and doing well, he was drinking and financially in a bad way.
I only became willing to make one amend that was definitely due when I saw the person I had harmed at a meeting and felt bad. This time I
checked with my sponsor that my motives were true. On this occasion there was fear on my part as my amend involved admitting to a criminal act.
However by this time I had a Higher Power in my life and knew I had to do the right thing just because it was the right thing to do. But I also knew
that if I didn't it would always be lurking about in my head waiting to rear its ugly head. By this time I could trust that whatever the outcome I would
cope with it if I didn't drink and kept it in the day. Nervously I made the amend and it was received in the spirit that was intended.
The willingness to make another amend came through fear. I hadn't seen the person I had harmed for a while and knew she'd moved abroad but one
day I was with my partner in the area they came from and I thought: 'What if I bumped into her?' My partner had nothing to do with my bad

Essay on Electronic Component Industry Analysis
INTRODUCTION
The electronics distribution industry is inherently a volatile one because it is based on technologies that are constantly evolving and improving as time
passes. The industry has already survived three major technological revolutions and can probably be expecting another one in its long–term future.
These "revolutions" usually concern the refinement or replacement of a component that is fundamental to all electronic circuitry. While demand for
related component parts remains relatively stable, the revolutionized component becomes a high demand item (product growth) and all other circuit
design considerations will revolve around it. This in turn causes an increased focus on the item in the distribution industry, and the ... Show more

For the remaining small distributors, there is a need for both of these attributes, as well as an aggressive desire to survive and grow. The following
analysis will discuss the industry in terms of its definition, its market, its economic environment, and the important trends that will affect it.I. THE
INDUSTRY
The definition of the electronics distribution industry is not difficult. Basically any entity who purchases electronic components solely for resale
purposes is an electronics distributor. Although many hardware stores maintain respectable electronics inventories, they deal mostly with maintenance
and repair operations (M.R.O.'s) and household consumers, and do not compete in the O.E.M. markets. The major participants in the industry are
involved only in the procurement and resale of electronic components, and do not deal in other durable goods. Officially, the industry is defined by
Standard Industrial Classification code 5065, Electronic Parts and Equipment, Not Elsewhere Classified. This is a subclassification of code 506,
Electrical Goods. It includes establishments primarily engaged in the wholesale distribution of electronic components including but not limited to
capacitors, coils, condensers, connectors, diodes, electronic tubes, miniature lamps, power supplies, resistors, semiconductor devices, transformers, and
transistors. This listing is not all–inclusive but instead

There are two things you will inevitably hear about Weezer's new album, Everything Will Be Alright in the End: the first is that that it is a return to

form and more a "sum–of–all–parts" record, successfully touching on their entire discography. From the crunchy garage–rock of their first self–titled
albums to the rockin' solos of Maladroit and, yes, even the unfortunate cheese of Raditude, it's all here it in the band's attempt at a definitive 41

Principal Agent Relationship Essay
Within a federal republic, such as the United States, we tend to rely on representatives to represent us as a nation rather than us representing the nation.
This is due to people's capacity of knowledge as not everyone can be the best of themselves in every area. Eventually, leading to representatives, who
have the knowledge in politics and government, in representing the people of every state. This type of situation is when the people, who are the
principals, gives authority to the representative, who are the agents, to represent them. By definition, the principals are those who possess authority and
agents are individuals who execute the authority on behalf of the principals (Kernell 29). Although this is common, not many individuals are aware that
they are entering a principal and agent relationship. In the United ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Though it is not necessary for it to just involve politics, it can relate to legal matters, personal matters, or work related relationships. One example
of a principal and agent relationship is a lawyer and its client. In this relationship, the principal is the client and the agent is the lawyer. This is a
principal and agent relationship because the client is delegating its authority to the lawyer. The lawyer ends up being the agent who has received
authority from the principal to handle the issue that the principal is requesting. The client gives authority to the lawyer because the client does not
have the necessary knowledge to handle a matter that requires additional knowledge. The lawyer will be the representative of the client who has no

A Single Story Analysis
When Adichie refers to a single story, she is describing that a person or group of people may be disillusioned due to their lack of exposure to other
perspectives and ideas. For instance, Adichie states that when she read American and European storybooks as a child, all of the characters were of the
white race and exemplified white characteristics, leading to an ignorant and close–minded depiction of the world. Moreover, when Adichie began
reading African literature, she found that "people like me, girls with skin the color of chocolate, whose kinky hair could not form ponytails, could also
exist in literature"(Adichie 1:07). This illustrates that in both African and European literature, characterization is limited to the demographics known to
the writers, the story is restricted based on one's viewpoint. Furthermore, the danger in simply reading or writing a single story is that over time, a
person, or group of people, can become bias due to their lack of exposure to cultural and ethnical diversity. For example, Adichie describes that
when she met the family of Fide, her houseboy, and saw that one of Fide's brothers had woven a beautiful basket she was taken aback because "it
had become impossible for me to see them as anything else but poor. Their poverty was my single story for them"(Adichie 3:43). This seemingly
minor misconception exposes Adichie to the dangers of following "a single story", a reality check which changed her perception of the world.
Furthermore, the

The Importance Of A Special Education Teacher Essay

  • 1. The Importance Of A Special Education Teacher Essay As I read the book Nothing Is Inconsequential I learned many things that made me think about my own life. There were so many things Dave went through to get to where he did. He had to jump through many hoops to get through college. This made me think about my own experiences when I came to Wilmington College myself. When I first came to the college my focus was to become a specialeducation teacher, but that did not happen. I had to change my whole path and go into social work. Which bothered me in the begging, but once I thought about it for a while and really started to get into the material I knew it was what I was meant to do. I still get to work with kids as a social worker. It will be a little different, but I know I'll be able to have an effect on m community just like Dave. He did so many things with all the schools he either taught at or was the principle. He changed many communities around that he went to. Especially when he merged two schools together. He knew when he did it that he would lose his job, but he knew it was best for the kids. I know that when I am in the field of child welfare that I may have to take kids out of their homes because of the way they are treated or the family is not stable. It will be hard at first, but I'll know it's the right thing for the child. Being part of the community was one thing I thought Dave did very well. He was always there for everyone and wanted everyone to be a part of his life, especially with his car museum he had. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 2. Chain Of Fools Analysis Chain of Fools was released in late 67' and was recorded in Atlantics' New York Recording studio. It was produced by Jerry Wexler, and engineered by Tom Dowd. Signature elements to the song include Joe Souths signature guitar playing, the Muscle Shoals Rhythm section and Aretha Franklins powerful vocal performance. Drums: My drum rerecord feature a mono overhead, a kick out, snare bottom, a close room and a far room mic placed in the kitchen outside the studio to amplify the size of the space. The song features a very dry drum sound, but features a spacious reverb layered on top. This is possibly a plate or chamber reverb that was used on the other tracks in the song. Claps were also added and hard–panned to replicate that of the song.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... For the vocals, there was a lack of presence due to the use of less exciting preamps and vocal mic at home, a much softer performance, and a lot of frequency content above 10 kHz (possibly due to the Rode mic used, as well as the modern stock preamp on my home interface). So an eq was used to match the vintage vocal sound on the recording. Whilst the song was released in both mono and stereo, the stereo version features a use of LCR panning which includes bass & keys panned to the left, and drums and lead guitar panned to the right. Light saturation and distortion has been added to the vocal parts to provide the dirt and thickness found on the song due to the hardware initially used. Aretha was quoted by producer David Isaac as one who could 'work the mic,' moving back and forth to control dynamics organically. This was compensated with some compression on the rerecorded vocals. The drums in the initial recording are punchy, tight and have a low end thump to the kick and the snare. This was mostly due to the tuning of the drums, as well as the performance on the recording. However for where I couldn't get the sound right, I used EQ to darken the snare, and added a mix bus compressor with a hard knee to emphasise the punch of the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. The Music Industry : Jessie James Essay Jessie James established her on–stage persona through her music which has a sensible combination of pop rock and country singing. At a very early age, she has already demonstrated her musical talents and later continued to explore the possibilities of becoming a celebrity. Aside from singing, she also starred in her own reality TV show and has dabbled in other creative industries including fashion and makeup. To date, Jessie James continues to astound the music industry, proving that big things come in small packages. Born Jessica Rose James in Vicenza, Italy, the young Jessie was already showing potential at the tender age of two. With her parents as her audience, her vocal prowess was discovered with her mere use of a toy microphone and tape recorder. She won her first singing competition when she was nine when she sang "I Want to Be a Cowboy's Sweetheart" during a singing contest in Baker, Louisiana. During this time, she has already been composing her own songs using a plastic guitar. Soon after, the young talent was discovered and she had a taste of what it was like to perform in a large audience. Her first notable appearances were during the opening of Sea World as well as the Republican Convention. The following years in her teenage life were quite tough. She continued to create her own music and went to see if she can receive deals among country labels in Nashville. She was 17 when she caught the attention of Carla Wallace of Big Yellow Dog Music. Her song, "Gypsy ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Dancing For The Rhythm Of Underwood 's Heartbeat Dancing to the Rhythm of Underwood's Heartbeat Storyteller by Carrie Underwood is one of her best albums yet. She is a phenomenal singer who won American Idol back in 2005 and has not left the top since. Although Underwood went from nobody to the top extremely quick, the media still portrays her as being level headed unlike many other celebrities. Her debut album Some Hearts was declared the best–selling album of 2006 in all genres. Underwood is the most successful of any Idol winner and is also the only country artist to have his or her first five albums all reaching first or second on the Billboard 200 chart. When she released Storyteller in 2015, I had nothing but high expectations from this magnificent vocalist. In the Storyteller album, Underwood shows her passion for her life through her songs. She does this with catchy beats and memorable lyrics that share her stories to listeners through her music and does so very successfully. The album Storyteller is performed by country artist Carrie Underwood and was released on October 23, 2015. Mark Bright, Zach Crowell, and Jay Joyce produced this album. This album has thirteen songs and is approximately 46 minutes long. Storyteller's target audience would be mostly young adults and older teens but can be enjoyable for many others including all country music fans. Underwood's Storyteller is generally positively reviewed and has been nominated for country album of the year. This is definitely an album to remember. Storyteller ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. A Short Story : A Story? I see the sweet, alluring flowers in the crammed valley. The raw herbs itch my legs, satisfying my pleasure with bliss. Picking from the sticky weeds, I find a handsome blossom and add it to my assortment. I glance to the town as the people worship me with the joys of Spring. I grin in satisfaction and love. As the day grows old, I sigh in content. My delight and basket overflow with hard work. My legs covered in bug bites and cuts from the overgrown grass. The once white dress is now bitten by the meadow. I swallow the heartbreak as the sun hides, but smile when I remember how tomorrow will be. Unexpectedly, I feel a shiver through my spine. The rolling hills shift in temperature. I break to the golden gates of home. The carefully chiseled arches stand tall, unafraid of the sudden bleak climate. I tremble with uneasiness and wish my dress can swallow me. ''Persephone!'' a deep rumble trails behind me. The ground wobbles in horror. I swivel around quick and get light headed at the sight in front of me. Ascream would never exit my body, it froze in dread. There stood the devil, King of the Underworld, Hades. Hades palm crashed against my arm. My frigid skin felt foreign to his burning hand. I hiss in pain and discomfort. I know nothing good can ever happen out of this. Why was he here? I thought. A hard tug made my shoulder blade burn. I tremble as he starts to open his mouth. " Come with me, Persephone." his mouth closes in a hum. I finally grab my courage. ... • 6. Personal Narrative Essay: Kaila Didn T Cry Kaila loved plays and musicals. She had been in them ever since she was able to walk and talk. She was now in 7th grade. It was a Monday morning and she was on her way to get her audition sheet for the fall play The Wizard Of Oz On her way, she bumped into someone. They became like this over a simple boy in the 4th grade. And it turned into an endless war. As she was trying to apologize, she saw something that made her jaw drop. Vivian had an audition sheet for the play. "Watch it!" Vivian said, wiping her hair back. Kaila jumped.... Kaila slouched into the auditorium and sunk into a chair. Kaila, normally loved the sounds of the auditorium, like the buzz of the conversation, the switches of lights, especially the curtain opening and closing. Kaila wanted it all to shut up. Kaila saw Mr. Oak come over. "Hi Kaila, are you ready to practice?" he asked. "I guess" Kaila murmured. "Well, here is your script, you can have it for the first three weeks of practice, now come on, we're ready to start!" Mr. Oak said as her got Kaila out of her chair. As she was walking backstage, she thought about "The Magical Rose" and how Vivian ruined it for her. Then, Kaila got an idea. What if I did the same thing to Vivian! Kaila rushed backstage and got ready. Kaila and VIvian stood on stage. They started to walk upstage. Vivian pretended to open a door. "Oh Toto!" Vivian said. • 7. Personal Narrative Fiction Hi. You all seem pretty interested in me, or at least I can only assume so since you're all letting your eyes rest on me as I sit here on your desk. Some are even touching me and quite honestly, I feel a little violated. That's besides the point. I'm gonna tell you how a lemon like me got here on your desk. It all started at the top of a lemon tree– but not just any lemon tree. This lemon tree was on Venus. Some may argue that life is only possible on planet Earth, but here I am. I was a lonely lemon on the vast, barren planet. I spent my days hanging from that branch hoping and praying for an escape. I knew there had to be something beyond my tree in Venus. It had been there two years when I decided that I had to be my own hero. A storm was brewing again (it was an everyday thing) and I saw my chance to flee. The wind was strong and the clouds were thick as usual. A gust blew and I swung from the branch that I had called home for so long with everything I had. Within seconds I was free. I rolled and rolled and rolled until I couldn't roll anymore. I was hoping I would roll to the edge or find something. Nothing. I saw nothing. Just the same old... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... I thought my hardships were over when I was told about the most bizarre, morbid thing I'd ever heard of: lemonade. Apparently you humans drink my squeezed innards and find it enjoyable. In fact, there's a popular saying that goes "when life hands you lemons, make lemonade." I would really like to have a word with whoever came up with that because I don't know what they could have against a wonderful fruit like a lemon that could make them want to mercilessly murder them for their own pleasure. Anyway, from there we were sent to a factory, washed and had stickers stuck on us. Then, we were placed in bags and sent to this placed called Wal–Mart where I met even more lemons. • 8. The SanterГѓВa Religion and South Florida SanterГa is a newly recognized religion within the United States. Many Americans who practice more traditional religions, such as Catholicism, and Judaism, find the practice of Santeria very odd and quite obscure. The preponderance of our society feels that the practice of animal sacrifice, prevalent in Santeria, is immoral and possibly offensive. One reason for this reaction could be that there is a major lack of understanding of this religion in our society. Many people that do not practice this religion automatically assume that the religion is some sort of horrible cult in which people simply slaughter animals. In one situation, a man living near the aforementioned church states, "I don't like the idea of animal sacrifices; that should have gone out with the Middle Ages. Ernesto Pichardo, the president of the LukumГ BabalГє AyГ© Church, replies to that man's remark by saying, "If the dog is missing, please don't blame us. We certainly don't use pets" (May). According to another disgruntled church neighbor, "I'm gonna bitch like hell, if it starts to smell over there. We'll call the Health Department" (Morcate). Based on the previous statements, one can see that many people in the community have almost hostile opinions towards the practice of this particular religion. For one, when Hialeah City Council president, Herman EchevarrГa, first learned about the church back in May of 1987, he said, "I'm not the type that interferes with anyone's religious beliefs as long as they don't hurt anybody else. I'm not crazy about [SanterГa] either, but if everything they're doing complies with the laws and ordinances or the city, I'm not one to go out and protest or make waves about what they're doing" (May). This is the type of response that many of the open–minded people in the community give when asked about their views on SanterГa. The major ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 9. The Night Castle woke up with bleary eyes and a dull headache. He had been up late writing and couldn 't even remember when he had went to bed last night–probably sometime early this morning. Beckett had awoken quite a while ago, judging by the coolness of the sheets, and had let him sleep a bit longer. He shuffled into the bathroom, turning on the light, and squinted at the in"tensity of the brightness. Definitely had a headache. As he washed his face he felt a bit of stubble and made a mental note to shave. Making his way into the kitchen, he was greeted with the sight of his girlfriend flipping pancakes and the smell of coffee brewing. Filled with happiness at how comfortable Beckett seemed in his home (that he hoped would soon be their home), he hugged her from behind with a dopey grin on his face. "Morning beautiful," he murmured in her ear. "Morning to you too," she said, turning to give him a quick peck on the lips. "Help yourself to some pancakes. I 'm just about done." Lost in his own little world, castle did not notice the quirk of her lips or the mischievous glint in her eyes. Castle sat down on a stool at the island, making a smiley face on his pancakes with whipped cream and Beckett joined him, placing a cup of coffee beside his plate. He grinned at her, looking a bit like the face on his pancakes. He looked quite adorable and Beckett felt almost guilty for what she did to his pancakes. Almost. • 10. The Meaning of Water in the Poem Blessing by Imtiaz... To start with, the theme of the poem is that water is a necessity to life and is a precious gift. This gift is known as a "Blessing". To begin with, there is a lack of water in which the poem takes place. Imtiaz starts the poem off strong stating right away how "The skin cracks like a pod" (1). Human skin becomes dry and cracked when it is not moisturized. A pod is useless when it is dries up and becomes fragile because of the deficiency of water. The pod links to human skin because water keeps the skin hydrated and helps the body function. In addition, the villagers in the poem value water. When the municipal pipes explode, "silver crashes to the ground" (9). To the villagers, the water shines like silver. The villagers worship the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... By adding in onomatopoeias, the reader is able to hear the sound of the water as it rushes and crashes. Therefore, the poetic devices that Imtiaz uses have a tremendous purpose throughout the poem. Last of all, "Blessing" by Imtiaz Dharker represents the period of the poem written in nineteen eighty–nine, which is post–modern. First and foremost, temperatures were sweltering. In fact, the hottest day was on April seventh with a high temperature of forty degrees Celsius (WeatherSpark Beta). This connects to the poem because it deals with a hot country where dehydration is quite normal. Since the poem takes place in the slums in Mumbai, India, "There is never enough water" (2) for the villagers to consume and the great degree of heat causes more problems to their health. Adding to that, the humidity was high. June to September were the stickiest months (WeatherSpark Beta), which led to thirst, and the skin cracking "...like a pod" (1). In fact, with a daily average low humidity of seventy–eight percent, August was the most humid month (WeatherSpark Beta). The weather conditions of Mumbai itself were described as reasonably hot with soaring levels of humidity (Climate of Mumbai). All of these situations link to the poem because the villagers need water when the weather is hot and sticky to keep their bodies hydrated and functioning. Undoubtedly, the period when the poem was written relates back to the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 11. Can't Remember a Time Without I-Tunes Essay It's difficult to remember a time without iTunes. To many people, especially to the younger generation, iTunes has always been a part of people's lives. When it launched on April 28, 2003, iTunes was set to forever change the world of music and technology (Griggs & Leopold). When it first started, songs were available for instant download for only ninety–nine cents and albums for less than ten dollars. ITunes changed the way music was distributed and marketed. With the release of iTunes, music consumers could now download music digitally with the click of a button. Consumers no longer had to leave the comfort of their home to buy or listen to a song or an album. Before iTunes and digital music, consumers had to buy a complete album or ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... With iTunes, consumers instantly get what they want, which is a perfect fit for our technological culture today, but the emotional experience of buying music has been shattered. Because of iTunes, consumers have become more private listeners. Every song and album sits directly in front of each consumer. Listeners buy the songs they personally want and place them on their own portable music players. They listen to the songs by themselves as a private experience (Griggs & Leopold). Consumers do still share music, but do not engage in the social experience that existed before iTunes and digital music. Today, listeners share music by sending song files to each other or posting music on social media sites completely taking the shared and social aspect out of music. The shift in behavior from enjoying music as a social experience to listening to music as a personal experience has changed culture and society. Today's world is all about the individual. People want things for themselves and they want them now. ITunes helped in changing culture and society to be this way by making songs and albums available instantly to each person. With iTunes, people can get the music they want instantly and are encouraged to listen to music as a more private experience. In the time of records and even CD's, there was no way to sell or buy single songs. ITunes transformed music by marketing single songs instead of full albums. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 12. Literary Argument On Willy Loman From Death Of A Salesman Researched Literary Argument on Willy Loman from Death of a Salesman "Death of a Salesman" by the author Arthur Miller revolves around one family and the troubles they are facing due to growing older and becoming senile. Willy Loman was born on May 13, 1889, and in 1949 when the story is set, he was 60, this is during post–WW1 America, this was a different time with different social cues and norms that will be evident throughout the story. Willy's ambition is to take part in "theAmerican dream" and strike it rich by the sweat of his own brow. The kind ofsuccess Willy is looking for is not merely being able to provide for his family but having people know who he was what he was about and what a great character he had. Once Willy starts lacking the success he is used to he becomes disconnected with the world and this is when his senile tendencies start to show these things hint at a deeper medical problem; things like having flashbacks to when he was happy and satisfied with his performance and the still unsquandered potential of his progeny. At a certain point in life once you've been beaten down and stepped on you will reach rock bottom, although not enjoyable, once there the only progression is an improvement to your current situation. Willy has a hard time facing the music and accepting what is inevitable. this manifests itself in the story through willy's inability to stay grounded in what's happening in the current moment, his mind always wandering to a time in which ... The next songs, "Ivy" and "Pink and White," are polar opposites about love, where in "Ivy," Ocean talks about how he failed to keep a relationship going on, and in "Pink and White" he sings about intimate love and good long–term relationships. The album also contains skits like "Be Yourself" where Frank's mother leaves a phone call for him telling him not to consume alcohol, not to get in the car with someone who has consumed alcohol, or is impaired by smoking marijuana, and a skit called "Facebook Story," about a man who lost his wife because he didn't friend her on Facebook. • 25. Analysis Of Matthew Brooks Treacy And The Relationship... In this essay I will be comparing "She," by Matthew Brooks Treacy and the relationship with his mother to my relationship with my father, and the lessons taught through experiences that occurred. My father taught the concept of moral obligation, in a similar fashion to Traecy's mother teaching him to use his hands, through errands, that influenced my decision to make ethical decisions throughout my life. First off, moral obligation, in this essay, can be defined as an obligation to act in good faith because it lies within your personal values. In other words, it can be your reasoning for making a morally right decision. Treacy's mother greatly influenced him and the way he makes decision throughout his life. He recalls his mother saying, "If you go a day without using your hands, you die" (39). He calls this "..a principle that influences the way I do things" (39). Furthermore, he goes on to explain that his mother "..always used her hands" (39). You can notice the significance of using hands in the family. It was a lesson deeply engrained in Treacy. A lesson he will always remember through his mother. After all, our parents are responsible for teaching us some of our greatest lessons. • 31. Who Is Derek Bogaard Unethical Imagine getting paid $6.8 million for a 4–year contract to beat up people in the ice rink. This is what Derek Boogaard's contract is worth with the New York Rangers. In a New York Times article, Derek Boogaard was the most feared enforcer standing 7 feet tall on his skates. His job was not to play, but to fight others in the ice rink. He was known as the boogeyman. He could shatter a nose or jaw with a single punch. At the height of his career, he earned millions of dollars. During enforcement in the ice rink, Derek Boogaard and other enforcers incur many head injuries due to constant fighting. The NHL should've warned Derek Boogaard of the risks of neurodegenerative diseases but they intentionally concealed it which caused Boogaard's death. The NHL has many specialists and with their resources, they should've been able to collect better data regarding player injuries. As such, they should've done a better job of educating the public and players. However, this is wrong because Derek Boogaard did not tell the NHL about his pain, yet he still played no matter what amount of pain he felt. The NHL had no idea what Derek Boogaard was feeling, so they could not identify many of the symptoms that would lead to a neurodegenerative disease. Instead of seeking help, Derek Boogaard would manipulate the system to get himself extreme amounts of drugs from the team doctors. In addition, he spends thousands of dollars on illegal painkillers. • 32. The Evil of 1889 I could hear the water running from the shower when I came in the front door. "That's strange," I said. I dropped my keys and my yellow Star of David on top of the fridge and headed up the stairs. The bathroom door was ajar a few inches and water was streaming out. As my fingers reached out to push the door open the small hairs on my back stood to attention. It was too late; the masculine hand was already on me. I endeavored to pull the hand away from my blanch face, but I had already sank into his arms. It was cold. I woke up trying to free myself from the metal brace. I screamed for help merely hearing an echo from the damp air. I searched in the darkness for a way out, when all of a sudden a flash of light appeared. I tried to find the source when a familiar voice called out, "Are you comfortable, Leah? Would you like something to eat?" "Who are you? What do you want from me?" "What an incorrect reply. Let me rephrase that. I didn't kidnap you but I just borrowed you." In shock I said, "Borrow me! You can't borrow a human. Are you a lunatic?" "Hahaha, young lady you should never call a noble man a lunatic. You should know of the consequences." The light shut and a sound that resembled electricity was heard nearby. This time I listened very closely. The sound kept getting louder and closer. "Ahhhhhhhhh!" My body was twitching, my hair smelled burnt. I was in an electric chair. The light turned on again. Trying to lift my head towards the light, the voice came back. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Just as doing anything about my drinking or my character defects, my willingness to make proper amends only came when I was hurting, when I was disturbed enough to become willing to do something about it. That my drinking, character defects and harms done affected other people was no prompt to get me into action. I became motivated not because an amend was due but because I was hurting. Am I selfish, self–seeking and self–centred? Yes you betcha. Another example of an amend done for the wrong reasons and in the wrong way was one I did out of guilt for harms done to my brother, happily joined up with feelings of superiority towards him – I wasn't drinking and doing well, he was drinking and financially in a bad way. I only became willing to make one amend that was definitely due when I saw the person I had harmed at a meeting and felt bad. This time I checked with my sponsor that my motives were true. On this occasion there was fear on my part as my amend involved admitting to a criminal act. However by this time I had a Higher Power in my life and knew I had to do the right thing just because it was the right thing to do. But I also knew that if I didn't it would always be lurking about in my head waiting to rear its ugly head. By this time I could trust that whatever the outcome I would cope with it if I didn't drink and kept it in the day. Nervously I made the amend and it was received in the spirit that was intended. The willingness to make another amend came through fear. I hadn't seen the person I had harmed for a while and knew she'd moved abroad but one day I was with my partner in the area they came from and I thought: 'What if I bumped into her?' • 38. Essay on Electronic Component Industry Analysis INTRODUCTION The electronics distribution industry is inherently a volatile one because it is based on technologies that are constantly evolving and improving as time passes. The industry has already survived three major technological revolutions and can probably be expecting another one in its long–term future. These "revolutions" usually concern the refinement or replacement of a component that is fundamental to all electronic circuitry. While demand for related component parts remains relatively stable, the revolutionized component becomes a high demand item (product growth) and all other circuit design considerations will revolve around it. This in turn causes an increased focus on the item in the distribution industry, and the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... For the remaining small distributors, there is a need for both of these attributes, as well as an aggressive desire to survive and grow. The following analysis will discuss the industry in terms of its definition, its market, its economic environment, and the important trends that will affect it.I. THE INDUSTRY The definition of the electronics distribution industry is not difficult. Basically any entity who purchases electronic components solely for resale purposes is an electronics distributor. Although many hardware stores maintain respectable electronics inventories, they deal mostly with maintenance and repair operations (M.R.O.'s) and household consumers, and do not compete in the O.E.M. markets. The major participants in the industry are involved only in the procurement and resale of electronic components, and do not deal in other durable goods. Officially, the industry is defined by Standard Industrial Classification code 5065, Electronic Parts and Equipment, Not Elsewhere Classified. This is a subclassification of code 506, Electrical Goods. It includes establishments primarily engaged in the wholesale distribution of electronic components including but not limited to capacitors, coils, condensers, connectors, diodes, electronic tubes, miniature lamps, power supplies, resistors, semiconductor devices, transformers, and transistors. This is due to people's capacity of knowledge as not everyone can be the best of themselves in every area. Eventually, leading to representatives, who have the knowledge in politics and government, in representing the people of every state. This type of situation is when the people, who are the principals, gives authority to the representative, who are the agents, to represent them. One example of a principal and agent relationship is a lawyer and its client. In this relationship, the principal is the client and the agent is the lawyer. This is a principal and agent relationship because the client is delegating its authority to the lawyer. The lawyer ends up being the agent who has received authority from the principal to handle the issue that the principal is requesting. The client gives authority to the lawyer because the client does not have the necessary knowledge to handle a matter that requires additional knowledge. The lawyer will be the representative of the client who has no background in legal cases. • 42. A Single Story Analysis When Adichie refers to a single story, she is describing that a person or group of people may be disillusioned due to their lack of exposure to other perspectives and ideas. For instance, Adichie states that when she read American and European storybooks as a child, all of the characters were of the white race and exemplified white characteristics, leading to an ignorant and close–minded depiction of the world. Moreover, when Adichie began reading African literature, she found that "people like me, girls with skin the color of chocolate, whose kinky hair could not form ponytails, could also exist in literature"(Adichie 1:07). This illustrates that in both African and European literature, characterization is limited to the demographics known to the writers, the story is restricted based on one's viewpoint. Furthermore, the danger in simply reading or writing a single story is that over time, a person, or group of people, can become bias due to their lack of exposure to cultural and ethnical diversity. For example, Adichie describes that when she met the family of Fide, her houseboy, and saw that one of Fide's brothers had woven a beautiful basket she was taken aback because "it had become impossible for me to see them as anything else but poor. Their poverty was my single story for them"(Adichie 3:43). This seemingly minor misconception exposes Adichie to the dangers of following "a single story", a reality check which changed her perception of the world. Furthermore, the ...
