When people think of gifts, they often think of something they have received from Christmas or from a birthday. One of the
most special gifts I have ever received was not from a holiday or for a birthday. My most prized gift was from two little
girls, Alexandria and Tatianna, in a different country. When I went to the Dominican Republic with a big group of people
for a mission trip, I received three colorful bracelets from two of the sweetest girls a few days before we traveled home.
These bracelets were my most prized gift for many reasons.
I went to the Dominican so I could help and reach out to the children along with the others who went. One of the main
reasons why these bracelets are so special and important to me is the simple fact that the children there are not very
fortunate at all and do not have a lot of stuff. The bracelets they had were the only ones they owned. The girls ran up to me
and smiled and hugged me. They grabbed my arm and put the bracelets on for me. At first I told them to keep them because
