2. ¡ BIENVENIDOS!
Welcome to the class!

3.  Fostering independent learning
 More rigorous and in depth learning
 Implementation of differentiation strategies at
different levels of complexity and with different
amounts of teacher support.
 Communicative activities focus on the same topics as
in on-level Spanish class, but completion requires
different levels of sophistication and a higher and
more challenging level of linguistic performance and
competence.

6.  ASPEN: Parents Portal
Grades will typically be
updated on Fridays.
If you miss class, your
make up work including
tests and other
assessments will be
updated in the gradebook
the following Friday,
regardless of the day that
you turned in/made up
the assignment.

These are the class procedures for
Spanish 2 and Spanish 2H, 2016-17

9. Instrucción #1
 Deben estar en sus asientos con la tarea, la
agenda, el lápiz y la pluma afuera y listos y
todo lo demas guardado cuando la maestra
empieza la clase.

10. Empezamos con un “diario” en la
pizarra. Empieza a escribir el diario
inmediatemente.

11. Continua con tu diario y no te
acerques a la profe hasta que
termine con su trabajo necesario.
(Usualmente 2 minutos)

12. Al regresar después de estar
ausente: busca el calendario de la
clase en la computadora.

take a hall pass
before you leave.

20.  I’m hungry?
 You may bring light
snacks, such as
crackers or trail mix,
and water to class. Of
course, items that look
like lunch should be
eaten at lunch time.
Light snacks and water
that do not cause
disruption are a better
choice for class time.
Please be sure to clean
up after yourself and
keep water bottles in
your backpack or on
the floor. No
food/drinks are
allowed while using
technology.

21.  What if I arrive late?
 You must have a pass to
enter the class after the
final bell.
 The door will be locked
when class begins.
 Do not open the door
for students unless
directed to do so.
 If you do not have a
pass, sign the detention
roster before you take
your seat.
 If you have special
circumstances, speak
with me AFTER class.

22.  I’m not feeling well?
Can I sleep?
 If you are not
feeling well, please
let me know. It is
best that you let
your parent(s) know
as well, so I will
write you a pass to
the clinic or
attendance office,
where you may call
your mom or dad.
You may not sleep in
class. Sleeping is
only for when you
are at home.

23.  What if I need extra
help?
 Then I will help you!

Let me know as soon
as you think you
might need help.
You can schedule a
help session with me
or with a member of
the National Spanish
Honor Society.
Don’t be afraid to
ask! That is what
we are here for!

24.  What if I didn’t get my
homework done?
 I will accept your
assignment late AFTER
you serve a detention.
Detentions may be served
before or after school
ONLY.
Detention must be served
by the end of the week
when the assignment
was due.
You will receive full credit
for the assignment, as
long as you have served
the required detention.
You will have an NHI in
Aspen until the
detention is finished.

26.  You may use your laptop, tablet or smart
phone ONLY after directed to do so by the
teacher
 Your device is to be kept on the table in
front of you, screen down.
 You will use your device only when instructed
to do so.
 Violations of these guidelines will result in
loss of permission to use your device in class.
