Your grade for that assignment will be 8/10, from which you can calculate a percentage. </li></ul>

  21. 21. Severe Clause: Any student who uses profanity, fights, damages school property (including the property of the teacher and other students), or is strongly disrespectful (as defined by the teacher) will be IMMEDIATELY removed by an administrator.

Late Passes <ul><li>Work is to be done and turned in on time </li></ul><ul><li>BUT, everyone has a bad day. </li></ul><ul><li>SO, you will receive 4 late passes that can be used to turn in Science assignments late. </li></ul><ul><li>The teacher may exclude certain assignments from late pass use </li></ul>

Scheduled Checkout: <ul><li>Please let me know as you enter the classroom (I should be at the door). </li></ul><ul><li>Quietly raise your hand when it’s time to leave and get my attention. </li></ul><ul><li>Pack your materials and leave at the scheduled time. </li></ul><ul><li>If it is an emergency, quickly get my attention and I will assist you. </li></ul>
  36. 36. Handing in Papers: <ul><li>Place your paper on the person’s desk on your right side. </li></ul><ul><li>If/when you receive a paper, place yours on top and continue passing the stack to your right. </li></ul><ul><li>I will come by and collect all stacks. </li></ul>

Classroom Discussions: <ul><li>Please participate. </li></ul><ul><li>Raise your hand before speaking unless instructions have been given otherwise. </li></ul><ul><li>I want to hear what you have to say. </li></ul><ul><li>Make questions and comments relevant to the current discussion. </li></ul><ul><li>If your question is off topic write it down and ask later. </li></ul>
  38. 38. Moving Around the Room: <ul><li>You must ask permission. </li></ul><ul><li>Do not ask during a classroom discussion unless it is an emergency. </li></ul>

Sharpening Pencils <ul><li>If you find your pencil needs sharpening: </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Be respectful of teaching time – determine if it is a good time to get up </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Bring your pencil back to the student supply area </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Exchange it for a sharpened pencil and put your dull pencil in the appropriate container </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>If you have a special pencil that you want to keep, remember to trade back at the end of class </li></ul></ul>
  40. 40. Class Dismissal: <ul><li>The teacher dismisses you, not the bell. </li></ul><ul><li>Do not start packing up before the bell. </li></ul><ul><li>Wait until the teacher is finished and officially dismisses you with: </li></ul>“ Have a lovely day!”
