Course Description Highlights


S Prepares students to be active citizens.

S Focuses on citizenship, government, and law.

S The course meets one half of the graduation
  requirements for first year Social Studies. Economic
  meets the other half.

S   The Foundations of Government

S The Legislative Branch

S The Executive Branch, Parties, Elections

S The Judicial Branch and Bill of Rights

S State and Local Government
Expectations


S Come to class prepared. (writing utensil and paper)

S Keep a binder for notes and handouts.

S Keep your cell phones off and away (zipped in your bag).

S Come to class on time.
Grading


S Point system.

S All assignments in and out of class will count toward your
  grade.

S You will be graded on class
  assignments, homework, projects, quizzes, tests, and
  writing.

S Larger assignments are worth more points, smaller
  assignments are worth less.

S   May be used outside the    S   1st infraction- warning
    classroom.
                               S   2nd infraction- Admin
S   Not to be used in any          confiscation, teacher detention-
