2. PERSON 1 ( MALE )
• DISCUSSING THE COVER: My first member of the target audience
thinks that I should correct areas of my colour scheme , starting by
removing the ‘ANGRYPLAY’ image and working on improving the cover
image to better suit the conventions of the rock genre.
• He does however , agree with some of the colour scheme as the
aggressive colours used help to convey the genre better. He likes the
title and the general layout of the cover .
• DISCUSSING THE DOUBLE SPREAD : As the work for my double page
spread is a working draft , there is little to discuss on improvement –
However , He did comment on the fact that the image containing the
subject should be on the dominant side of the double page ( the left
hand side). And that a title should cover a larger amount of the double
spread page.
3. PERSON 2 ( FEMALE)
• DISCUSSING THE COVER : My second member of the
target audience agrees with my choice of fonts and likes
the colour scheme used , she agrees with the image used
but thinks it could take up more space on the cover .
• DISCUSSING THE DOUBLE SPREAD: She also agrees with
my first member of the target audience in that the image
should be on the left hand side but she thinks that the
image should be larger, possibly even changing the
layout so that the image takes up the entire double
spread page.
4. PERSON 3 ( MALE)
• DISCUSSING THE COVER: Member 3 thinks that the cover is
emotional , and that , like the first person , thinks some
colours don’t work well with others . He suggests maybe
having a colourful image and darker colours used in the
column on the side of the cover.
• DISCUSSING THE DOUBLE PAGE SREAD: Again , as the work
is still in progress for this section , He found it difficult to add
any criticism – instead suggesting that the double page could
incorporate more colours and a larger image.
5. PERSON 4 ( FEMALE )
• DISCUSSING THE COVER: Person 4 liked the colour
scheme , she thought they suited the genre very well
and fit the convention of a rock magazine.
• She thought that the language used on the front cover
was good as it made the reader feel as if it were
personal to them using words like “ Exclusive “
• DISCUSSING THE DOUBLE SPREAD PAGE: So far she
liked where the design was going but saw that it was
missing a title , she suggested I use sans in the title as
the person in the image is female and sans is more
relaxed and is better associated to a female character.
