The focus group provided feedback on the draft document. They recommended: 1) Moving writing that overlaps the background image to make it more visible and draw attention to the image. 2) Choosing a bolder, more edgy font for the coverlines to better suit the genre. 3) Adding another image to the right side to reduce empty space as suggested by one reviewer. 4) Keeping the background image which was praised for being edgy and suiting the style. 5) Changing the red font color to something easier to read.

2. WORD PLACEMENT
It was recommended that I should move the
writing that slightly overlaps the background
image to make the writing more visible but
also to draw more attention towards the
image.

3. FONT
The font of the coverlines on the front cover
were not considered appropriate for the genre I
am aiming for. I need to look for a bolder more
edgy font that will suit the genre.

4. TOO MUCH SPACE
One of my focus group said there was too much
unfilled space on the right hand side of the front
cover. Although the image shouldn’t be completely
covered, I should add an extra image there. I will
include a picture of the band I’m writing about in my
double page spread there. As a result of my choice
of sdditional image, I will have to move my titles
around so the image relates to Dan Prouse.

5. BACKGROUND IMAGE
The background image was praised a lot. It was
considered appropriate for the genre of the
magazine, with the darker figure and the contrast
set on it. People thought it edgy and that it suited
the style I am aiming for.

6. COLOUR
It was suggested that I should change
the colour of the red font. The red
colour was more difficult to read and,
although it stood out, a different font
type would be more effective.
