2. DSLR
Camera
Photoshop
I used the DSLR Camera mainly to take my front cover
photo. It was quite difficult at first because I came across
such an advanced camera. I had to keep the camera
focused while standing and get good lighting in the photo. I
managed to take some black and white shots however I
didn’t use these images in my magazine. However, my
sister owns an NIKON DSLR she familiarised me with the
functions and how to capture pictures in an innovative
style. To aid in accomplishing and mastering the uses and
functions of such camera, I attended a class in which I was
taught how to operate and use the device to its maximum
potential. We learnt about the lighting, and the highest and
softest point of the soft box.
Using Photoshop was the most difficult part of the whole
coursework. This is a programme I am familiar with
however I didn’t always get much work done on it.
Eventually I experimented with the software and I learnt
how to create layers, level the brightness and increase
different font styles

3. InDesign
Prezi
This software I think overall was easier to use then
Photoshop however in task 2 I did struggle when
creating a college magazine. I used InDesign again
when creating the contents page and double page
spread. After creating my front cover it was difficult to
make these two because I had to make them very
similar. Writing out the journalism was very time
consuming because the software didn’t have auto check
to check any errors I made so I had draft everything on
Microsoft word then copy and paste.
A way in which I fast tracked in making my presentations
for my music magazine proposal was done by the use of ;
prezi. This is an online website which allowed me to
create presentations with ready made templates and
layouts which I was able to choose from. It wasn’t
difficult, it was quite simple as it was very similar to
Microsoft PowerPoint. Prezi was a very creative software
as it allows you to choose from many different themes.
This then generated a code which I embedded into my
blogger. This then resulted in my presentation being
available to watch on my blogger.

4. Blogger
Time toast is an online and interactive
website which enabled me to create
production schedule. Doing so empowered
me to stay on top of my tasks because I was
able to view my deadlines and when things
was due, thus I knew when work was due
in and prepared myself for these tasks.
Timetoast
I had to use blogger to create posts, embed
videos and also post images. I had to blog
every part of the coursework and keep
updating everything. I downloaded the
app on my phone. This then allowed me to
have constant contact with my blogger
which permitted me to update my blogger
on the go.
