2. Technologies used
• Photoshop
• Internet explorer
• Microsoft word/powerpoint
• Scanner
• Digital SLR camera
• Nikon compact camera
• Prezi/Slideshare/Survey Monkey

3. Photoshop
• Photoshop was the main software used when
creating my magazine pages. As I was fairly
inexperienced with using Photoshop I had to
learn skills before and throughout the
production of the pages. This also meant
returning to previously finished products to
add new techniques.

4. • Although the software allowed my to include
a range of effects to created a professional
and realistic look in the product, there were
limitations as to what Photoshop could do. For
example, the software was unable to import
fonts. To over come the problem, I had to use
the print screen function to and use the text
as an image.

5. Microsoft word/powerpoint
• The software’s were used to write up articles
throughout my magazine and other tasks,
such as my double page spread. I used
PowerPoint to help me present ideas in my
preliminary task and also throughout my
evaluation.

6. Scanner
• The scanner was rarely used throughout my
tasked although was vital when needed. It
ensured that I was able to transfer my draft
drawing to the computer in order to add them
to my blog.

7. SLR and compact camera
• The SLR camera was used to take the most
important pictures in my magazine such as the
front cover and double page spread. These were
the most important because I was aware they
would be largely displayed on my pages and
needed to be in high quality in front of a bright
white sheet to create a professional effect.
• The compact camera was used for smaller images
such as ones seen in my contents page. The
cameras were more portable and didn’t require a
white sheet.

8. Prezi/slideshare/surveymonkey
• The internet websites and services were
important mostly for presentational uses. They
ensured the various approaches were used
throughout the course and also helped me
present work better on my blog.
• Surveymonkey helped my carry out research and
development tasks like audience research to
provide clear results for my blog. The website
also provided an easier approach to the task.
